Their burritos are delicious and huge! Best chicken burrito in town 10/10. Their taco plate is also really good, the beans and rice remind me of home. It's hard for me not to eat here at least once a week. Green salsa it's a must!
I ordered the Macho Burrito with chicken and my niece got the quesadilla. The food was SO good. The service was fast as well. The burrito is very big. If you’re really hungry then this is the perfect burrito. Otherwise I would share it. But the burrito is moist and flavorful. I highly recommend it. The restaurant is small and cozy, perfect for smaller families. It’s clean and taken care of.
Biggest best burrito in town! A must! I have been looking for a place to get a good burrito and looks like I found it. Everything from the pico to the meat was perfect. I will definitely be back!!!
One of Montereys best! Their pastor is amazing.
ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS PLACE!! It is clean, outstanding service and well worth it! The chips are cooked to order and so fresh and warm. I ordered the tacos and everything was so fresh and portions were good. The price was good for the value. You can rely on Pico De Gallo for fresh food, cooked to order, outstanding service that will have you craving to go back!
This place is one that we will definitely coming back to pretty often. If you need a good, fat burrito, then this is the place to go.
The shrimp house burrito was particularly good. The pieces of shrimp were larger than I was expecting and were cooked to perfection. I highly suggest it.
Just been back from eating here. Wow it was great! They helped us at a very kind way and the food was delicious.
A little bit much for us, but it is better to have too much then still being hungry after.
If you want a good meal, go here. Just don't expect a luxury restaurant.
This place is a little hole in the wall. You order at the counter when you walk in and then you seat yourself at a table. Then the food comes. And it is so good! Absolutely delicious. Homemade Mexican fare that delights the taste buds. I'd go there again in a heartbeat and I'd recommend it to anyone who likes a great burrito or other Mexican dish. Delicious!
We were lucky to stumble across this casual eatery on a recent trip to Monterey. While the building isn't much to look at, the food was excellent. It was as beautifully plated and presented as anything I've ever had, and tasted great too, with obviously fresh, good-quality ingredients. Notably inexpensive, too.
Yes yes yes! I had a giant burrito here and it was so tasty! All these flavours and the size made me feel very happy after eating it. Unfortunately, we needed to leave Monterey very soon again - but I will come back here, just for the food. Thank you very much!
Love the food, the hot fresh taco chip strips with truly wonderful salsa; the casual atmosphere with old comfy booths, clear menu boards on the wall, and the fine Rooster art collection. Funky, great, nice people, beer. Oh, and you get to check out the burnt-out vintage cars next door at Dodi’s Auto.
Good food. Simple and nice. Only problem is the water tasted funky. Just get the bottled water avaliable.
Tucked away little place with some indoor and outdoor seating! Excellent authentic coastal Mexican food for sure. Had 4 different types of tacos and all were great except for the shrimp one which was just not made the way I am used to. Tried a bit of a burrito and it was amazing too.
I have been going to Pico De Gallo for years. I have had everything on the menu. But I agree with Kyle that the Macho Burrito is the best. This is my go to spot for Mexican Cuisine. I have never had a bad meal here. Even the chips and salsa are made fresh everyday. Not on the menu but the chef/owner will make it for you is the California Burrito or also know as the San Diego Burrito. For people who are not familiar with this burrito is basically a Macho Burrito with french fries in it.
This place has the best chicken salad dish ever made right here.
We stopped in on our way out of Monterey, and were very hungry since no lunch and it was 3 PM. Family cooked fare was very fresh and tasty. Small, clean place to eat or pick up food to go. Monster burrito, fresh hot tortilla chips, fresh cooked beans, wow. If you like to try local family restaurants, I recommend this one. Check it out!
This was one of my favorite restaurants in the area before we left. The carne asada fries are my favorite here, and the macho burrito is a huge feast. However, you can also substitute the meal on the fries, and we got some al pastor on the fries one time which was also amazing. Shrimp taco and burrito are also particularly good. Unfortunately they do not have horchata or other drinks, and I think it would be really nice if they did. The food more than makes up for it though.
This is definitely a meal that you have to lie down a bit to digest after you eat.
