Yama Sushi Bar & Restaurant - Monterey - Photo album

The sushi here was good, and there were a lot of different specialty rolls (many I've never seen before). Ramen was also pretty tasty and a good portion size. I wasn't a fan of the edamame. They just serve it to you cold and no salt or anything.
Yama sushi has been here since the dawn of time...deservedly so. Lunch specials are absolutely fantastic, tempura assortment top tier (pumpkin AND sweet potato?? you shouldn't have..) and udon is so delicious and full of green onion... Absolutely solid place for being stuck in the mall, thank you!!
First time here, and came with my husband on a Saturday night. Service was attentive, quick, and friendly. It felt like the whole experience took 30 minutes. We ordered three rolls (Highway1, SunRise, and Star Wars), which were all fairly tasty, and all the sushi rolls were 50% off! Woot! Both of us
I love this place. I go here almost every weekend. The staff is incredibly sweet and the food is delicious and not overly expensive. The is my favorite Sushi place.
The food was excellent! I had the combination rice and the golden gate bridge sushi. It came with soup and salad and snap peas. My waitresses Chanele and Judy had great customer service! I will definitely come back here before I go back to Las Vegas. Thank you, Tamera
Great sushi experience, rolls were really well made and there were lots of variety. Great options and great flavor. Prices felt right as well, and I also enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant.
Service is good . We visited this place while we charge our tesla during 17 mile drive. The dishes are very delicious and mouth watering. Really like the food and service
Dinner for 6 people was great, good food, well presented and tasty, recommend the Bento Boxes, great service and friendly staff. The ambience was lacking a bit, no music or vibe though, but we made our own.
I feel like the rolls are somewhat loose; I always have one or two that fall apart on me. However, they still taste good and worth the cheap prices. The roll portions are average, but the sashimi portions are fairly big. I think the sashimi is only available for lunch, I couldn't find it on the dinn
Nice cozy spot. Went 13 years ago when I lived there and had a chance to return to Monterey try it again. They did not disappoint. The menu was improved, presentation was great and the flavour of every item I got was amazing. I'd suggest it to anyone that finds themselves in Monterey, CA.
I really enjoyed the foods and the service with my mom on her birthday along with my nephews and my sister in law and her boyfriend
Calming atmosphere with great waiters. Chefs were amazing. they definitely knew what they were doing.
Great sushi for affordable prices. Absolutely nothing wrong here. Everything is fresh, good quality and very tasty
