Fun little executive course. We got an unexpected air show while we were playing.
"Different" type of course - short holes, but tough greens, and you're walking or riding through the woods. The scenery is beautiful and they've updated everything inside and out. The patio area now has a little pond and fountain and a small waterfall. It will make for beautiful wedding photos. Great for seniors and golfers who want to practice their short game. The people are always friendly and it's kept up well.
Winding Hills Golf Club is the best-kept little secret for golfers in the Hudson Valley. This executive par-3 course is well maintained by a grounds crew that pays attention to the little details and provides challenging hole locations. The restaurant offers a modified menu and services (at times) as much attention is spent on event planning and weddings at this picturesque course.
For the duffers, hole #3 presents a challenge with a narrow opening to the fairway. Trees line the left and there is a pond on the right that makes you pause before pulling out the big dog and going for it. On the back nine, hole #13 is the signature hole, presenting a downhill dog-leg left that tempts a drive off the tee, but only when caution is observed for others leaving the green or teeing off on #14.
Putting and short game skills are a must here. There is no hole more difficult to putt than #8. It doesn't matter where the hole location is placed: The ball will funnel to the front right and off the green. Be cautious and respect the variations on the surface and you can get close; if you're too aggressive, you're looking at a 3-putt, or way, way worse.
The golf pro, Gil Anderson, is exceptional and rounds out a great golf experience at this course. Come here to play, leave here with an other-worldly connection to the game.
This is a cool, friendly , not too expensive Par 3 golf course. Live bands on Friday and the weekends. Clean, well manicured, and friendly to the guests. I highly recommend this place, when I'm not there of course.
Very nice course to work on your Irons, and pitching wedge game. Small, yet technical course. The greens are in great shape, and I would advise you to work on your putting before getting here 😁 You can get away with not even using a driver, longest hole is 257yds I believe. The staff was courteous, the gentleman in the pro shop was funny, and had a great attitude! I look forward to golfing here more in the future.
Very nice executive golf course. You'll want a variety of wedges. Great if you're new to the game or want to play a quick 18. If you don't usually, consider walking the course.
Great Course. Well maintained. Great for those looking to work on their short game.
