Great service. Food is very good . There's also about 20+ taps with a good mix of micro and macro beers. There also a full bar and small carryout for soda six packs and snacks.
This past weekend was one of those weekends. The kind that we waste a lot of time trying to figure out what to do, where to eat, how far do we want to drive, do we want to deal with traffic. Part of the problem was the weather. It was supposed to be rainy, so that was putting a damper on our initial thoughts to go to the Squirrel Hill Night Market. The other damper on that idea: traffic. The Liberty Tunnels/Bridge are still closed, so the Fort Pitt Tunnels/Bridge are extra crowded. I just wasn't in the mood for traffic and rain.
Patrick's is a great little pub and restaurant.
We recently ate in the pub area. The beer selection was very good. The waitstaff was attentive. The menu was varied with something to please everyone's taste. My salmon BLT was tasty and the fries were hot and fresh. Definitely worth a stop by if in the area.
Patrick's is a hidden gem good food every time I go there
A welcome surprise. Patrick's is an unusual place, part convenience store (it's root's), a small restaurant (maybe 14 tables) and a bar all under one roof.
Patrick's is great pub food with an nice Irish mix. Prices are very reasonable, more than enough food that you will not walk away hungry. While this was our first time, we were made comfortable. The food came out hot and timely, the menu offers enough of a selection but is not overwhelming. The service also was top notch which is a rarity these days. One person ran the dining room and was on the ball.
They also have a decent selection of beers on tap or in the bottle and are reasonably priced no less. Bottom line, if you are looking for good pub food or a solid homey meal, make your way here, you will be glad you did.
We go here all the time. Everything on the menu is great and they have a wide range of beers.
Great food, great service!
Fun place, good beer and so-so food.. I made my way out to Patrick's last Thursday night for dinner and a beer while I did some work using the the Free WiFi. The beer list was notable--16 draft options with mostly craft options and a bottle list covering a wide range of styles.
From the entrance, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. Inside, the space is a little bigger and nicer than I expected--completely with a pool table in the back room. I started off by ordering a beer and grabbing a table, but no one asked if I was interested in a menu.
When I finally asked for a menu, I opted for a veggie wrap. Most everything else on the menu sounded heavy and calorie-dense. The wrap came with fries that were piping hot but not flavorful. The wrap itself was soggy and hard to handle--filled with a muddled mix of veggies and more cheese than I would have liked. The muddled veggie mix led to muddled flavors.
I've been told that the traditional Irish menu is a far better option. If you're okay with grabbing something on the heavy side and interested in good beer, that might be worth a try.
This is the kind of local place I want to like, but the menu really doesn't cater to my preferences.

The food was delicious. Great pub style menu. The seasoned fries were a family favorite. My toddler loved the quesadilla and the reuben was the best I've had in the area. Ingredients were fresh and the staff was friendly. I highly recommend.

Can’t explain why it took this long to give our favorite neighborhood bar a review. We have been coming to Patrick’s for a few years. Patrick’s Pub is truly an amazing place with excellent staff, food and service. Great place to catch up with friends, watch a game, hang out on a patio to grab drinks and recently a lot of takeout because of the pandemic. Personal favorites are the melting pot wings and buffalo chicken sandwich. If you haven’t already, give them a chance. I am sure you will not regret it!
Great food, great drinks. Awesome place to go for a chill night.
Excellent Reuben! Best in the area! Would definitely go back. Very easy to find too. Friendly service.
Food is always good, consideration of spacing is good, but dining g room is cold..being a light sweater...
