Outstanding food and friendly staff. I am a vegan and enjoyed a fresh and delightful meal ! My new favorite place in town ! I will be taking friends and family. Can't wait !
A excellent experience at South+Pine. Came on a Saturday night with a party of Six. My wife and I had the crab cake and Lamb meatballs as appetizer. Both were very good. For dinner we had the Short Ribs cauliflower, manchego cheese, hazelnuts and the Scallops butternut squash grits, crispy brussel sprouts. Both excellent and full of flavor. We tried all of the desserts and they were out of this world. We all loved the food and the restaurant has a great Atmosphere!
5-stars!! From start to finish - super service, delicious food, friendly staff, loved watching the chefs work their magic in the kitchen. Try the beet salad and the scallops, yummy!!

Seated exactly at 7:45 PM as 80% of the restaurant left to go to a show next door; highly recommend that time as it was busy but relaxed. Service was excellent; food was delicious (highly recommend the flatbread, kale salad and olive oil cake!); and it was easy to have a conversation among the four of us despite the open kitchen behind us - a testament to someone's work with the acoustics.
My first time there was on Fathers Day with my family. The food and service was excellent. Loved the decor. The heirloom tomatoe appetizer was excellent and my hanger steak was cooked to perfection and the French fries were so crispy. All four of us throughly enjoyed our dinners. Kudos to our server Dana for taking good care of us. Will definitely be back
i don't write many reviews, although i go to plenty of restaurants and have been to nearly every one in morristown. i did write a review for s&p 2.5 years ago and gave them one star. i deleted it after my experience today - s&p was quick to respond to my abysmal experience the 1st time i went. it took me that amount of time to take up their kind and generous offer and return. i went in with my guests today, giving them fair warning that i wasn't sure how it'd be, but a tremendous, remarkable improvement on all aspects, and they were busy too! eddie, our waiter was fantastic, quick service, DELICIOUS food, and large portions! kate, the manager, also came over to thank us, as i expressed my delight in today's experience as well. thanks again for caring.
we ordered the pancakes, crab cake benny, salmon club, bacon (cooked crispy and to perfection), and my favorite of the brunch, the hash browns!!!!
Everything was excellent from start to finish. Outstanding food, wonderful service & super friendly staff. Decor was fabulous as well! Tomato soup was the best I ever ate and we all enjoyed everything we ordered. I will definitely be back.
Excellent restaurant- loved it. When in Morristown I would recommend it! Best place I have been to in months. Service was outstanding. I did not know it was a byob, they got the local store to deliver an excellent bottle of wine in less than 10 minutes. Will be back again

We introduced friends from Chicago to S&P tonite & the experience was off-the-charts as usual!! Our waiter Eddie's command of the menu was impeccable-describing every dish in detail & offering recommendations to those on our group on the fence between choices. Chef Leia has given Morristown a diamond in the rough: rare & real with her seasonal menus supporting local sustainable practices & farmers. She has converted this diner on many occasions: I never cared for kohlrabi yet Leia's creatively makes me crave her kohlrabi mash... I was never a fan of duck & every single time she leaves me drooling: the duck tacos in mole is something fairytales are made of! I could go on & on but I will stop with this: South & Pine is the heart beating within our town!!�����
Outstanding Meal from start to finish ! Soft shell crab tacos and polenta fries are a must ! Burger was off the charts perfection and zucchini flowers couldn't have been done more perfectly , service was fast and boasted hospitality to a T ! Bravo gang , cya again very soon
Went there last night for dinner. Had to wait a bit and was offered sangria, free appetizers and many apologies. The meal was worth the wait!
Service was stellar, server was very knowledgeable, meat was perfectly cooked, sides were earthy, delicious, and perfectly seasoned. The ambience was warm and casual, with a refined finesse. Found my new favorite in Morristown! Thank you, S&P!
Everything is super professional. I stopped in here for some dinner before a show at MPAC which is literally right next door which is so convenient . I was blown away with the food , it is top quality ingredients in everything and all ingredients are sourced fresh and local. Chicken is so juicy and crispy. Steaks were tender and cooked perfect. Service was friendly and attentive.
The food is very tasty with fresh, high quality ingredients. We sat outside for Saturday brunch, which was very nice. My only issue are the prices (a bit high) and sizes of the dishes (a bit on the smaller size). That being said, definitely worth trying!
Korean salmon was perfectly cooked and delicious. Nice balance of flavors and textures with the pickled cucumber and onions. Fried rice had a nice bite to it. Also, the whole dish is gluten-free!
Caramel latte was pretty terrible, though. Bitter/ burnt. And took a long time to come out.
Outdoor seating was nice. Came for lunch and got sat right away with no reservation.
BYOB
Quick stop for dinner. I went for the chicken and waffles, southern classic with an upscale twist. The chicken was so juicy and tender with a great tasting outside cornflake crust. The waffle had a nice crust with a fluffy and light inside.
Food was great, but a bit on the expensive side. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
This was my first time at this place. It was a very beautiful industrial feeling kind of place. Food was delicious and staff were very kind. They were very accommodating and food came out in a timely matter. I never had to call the server over and they would always be ready to cater to you when needed. I will definitely come back again!
Went here for a birthday dinner and it did not disappoint. I had the “Fried Chix 2.0” which is chicken and waffles and my wife had the scallops. My chicken had a delicious cornflake crust. Their menu changes seasonally and the dishes are creative. The owner was present and making sure everything was humming along on a Saturday evening. The owner was also featured on TV on Bobby Flay’s show and a few others. The restaurant is very close to the Morristown Performing Arts Center (MPAC).
Love the vibe! It is BYOB so take advantage of that. The service and food were very nice. The area around is also cute like a village. Will visit again.

I had the Peri Peri chicken wrap; it was delicious! Tangy, crunchy, and very satisfying. It is not a lot of food; they serve fries with it to fill you up. Prices are high while food, service, and atmosphere are all very nice. We made a reservation for Sunday brunch for 7 people, and they ask for a $175 cancellation fee for no-shows. Automatic gratuity of 20% for parties of 7+, which was fine. It was a great place to hang out with friends for a couple of hours for brunch. The bill worked out to about $30 per person.
Loved everything about South & Pine. Originally reserved outdoor patio but was pleasantly surprised to be given option to sit indoors. It was just nice to be asked and given the option because there was availability. Food was amazing, so so fresh and robust in flavor, we tried all of the seasonal options and no regrets!! The service was top notch everyone including owner were so attentive, informative on menu and super inviting! Lastly the BYOB option is bonus!!! It was our first time dining at this establishment but it will not be the last. A new favorite and we will be bringing more friends and family.
I had what I would call one of my top 5 meals of all time here!! I am vegan and the server helped me find what could be substituted to accommodate which was so nice, and I got the rice and mushroom bowl with tofu in place of the egg. Phenomenal and flavorful, even my non-vegan husband was stunned by how good it was. Loved BYOB and the atmosphere, would definitely come again even to eat the same meal for a second time !! :)
south+pine never disappoints for dinner. Even when the restaurant is extremely busy, the wait staff is always incredibly kind and attentive. Every dish is perfectly crafted with a unique flavor profile. We’ve tried different entrees each visit and have been beyond satisfied every time.
After numerous visits of eyeing the burger, I finally ordered it and it did not disappoint. It was cooked to a perfect medium and topped with an egg and their signature bacon aioli. I would definitely order again, if I’m craving an upscale burger experience.
If you’re in need of starter suggestions, the lamb meatballs, chicken lollipops, and black kale salad are all delicious. In terms of entrees, I really believe that you can’t choose wrong. The menu changes seasonally and has yet to disappoint. Finally, the restaurant is BYOB, so be sure to pick up your favorite bottle of wine prior to dining.
Very good food. Music playing was nice. The servers were Good. A bit pricey but it's worth it for the well presented food with excellent flavors. It may be the farm to table type cooking - we really enjoyed it. BYOB. The atmosphere is neat as well.
Went there for a bridal shower. The food was great, the portions were huge. 10/10
