Wow this has to one of the best places i have been to in a while! I highly would come here. This food is not your average Italian style. It has a lot if taste and it is different from the main stream that is in bergen county. If your willing to drive i would take the drive again. The pasta meat balls, salad, and dessert are out of this world.
If you haven't been to Olive Lucy's you NEED to go!!
We recently had a retirement luncheon there and from the planning to the execution Pat and Steve have been amazing to work with.
The food was amazing and the service was exceptional. Everything they offered exceeded our expectations.
I honestly can't say enough good things about this place!
Everything we tasted was very good and we couldn't complain about the food at all. Only downside was sitting at a table that was touching one of the outside doors (that line an entire wall of tables} as it was leaky and the freezing air was breezing through the door.
It was clear from walking into this Morristown Restaurant that my group and I were in for a treat. From the ambiance and decor, to the iPad menu's, we knew we were going to have a hard time whittling thru the choices. It's a BYO, but if you forget, they have a liquor store right next door ... and a wine menu available from within the iPad so you don't spend 15 minutes away from your table trying to decide a bottle. The appetizers we ordered (classic clams and the crispy balsamic calamari) were delicious. I eventually decided on the Paella, which was very good!! A bit smaller than what i was expecting but we're not in the Ironbound. Dessert here was amazing! ... I forgot, if you bring you're own wine, they'll make a Sangria for you. That was good too! Overall, I can't wait to go back and if you haven't, you should go!
The food was awesome. The restaurant's menu is a combination of Portuguese and Italian food. Delicious food and friendly service by Henry. The place is immaculate and well decorated. Currently it's decorated for the Christmas season and done so tastefully. I will definitely be going back again.
Olive Lucy's had very good food, cool decorations, and a friendly staff.
Pros: Menu choices, food, ambiance, BYOB
Cons: Slow service, no alcohol choices on menu, pricey
I thought the food was very good (New England clam chowder and paella), but it was far from the best I have ever had. The restaurant had a great atmosphere and looks like a great place for a date. BYOB is always a cool option, but as I didn't bring anything with me I was bummed to see there wasn't anything on the menu in terms of alcohol. On a Tuesday night, service was slow and I had to ask to have my water refilled multiple times. I am pretty patient, so it wasn't a bother and it is a European restaurant so maybe the tempo is normal. I ended up paying 45+tip for a soup and paella, which seemed like a lot to me, but that could just be the area. In the end, it was a great team dinner!
I would recommend and would return to try the other delicious options on the menu.
A lovely place to get dinner, and one that won't break the bank! It's a bring-your-own-alcohol place, and they will open your wine for you. They have a wide variety of dinners, both vegetarian and not, and the service was really fast. It's definitely a place I'd visit again, especially for celebrations or other special events. They have a reservation system using Open Table, which may be helpful on busier days to ensure you get a table.
Excellent ambiance as always. We felt very comfortable and safe with the arrangement of tables. Mushroom appetizer was delicious. The pork chop special (with prosciutto and mozzarella) was far and away the best pork chop I've ever eaten. It was so tender!
LOVE, love, love this place! the decor is super cute and the food (Italian/Portuguese infusion) was very tasty! The staff were all pleasant and very attentive.
I really enjoyed the salads with the ham wrapped figs (I've had both) =)
It's BYOB, and they will make an amazing sangria with your wine.
It's a great date spot.
Had an awesome time here with friends. The appetizers and dinner were delicious. We brought wine which they mixed with their fruit to make the most delicious Sangria. Staff was friendly. Great atmosphere. We will be back!
5 of us went here last evening and loved it. We each had a different dish. I had spicy pan fried scallops. I'm a big scallop eater and was a big fan of my choice.
We were the only party there at first, nut when we were done, the place filled in nicely. All of us really this place. the, decor, the seasonal decorations.,We will Definately be back, and the service was perfect!..Go there!
Choices of food are fantastic. From the apps to dessert. Service is absolutely amazing. The manager Andy and his staff are extremely attentive. Indoor dining is great because tables are distanced and the restaurant and bathroom are spotless. Great place in town to grab a great meal with great service and ambiance.
Great setting, great food. Went with my family for Easter. Everyone enjoyed appetizers of clams, and lobster mac & cheese. The Maryland crab soup was delicious. Some of the main courses included short rib, stuffed chicken, blackened scallops, lamb, and penne a la vodka. All were delicious. Desserts were also very good. Will go back again.
Stopped in for dinner after a movie across the street. The food was great. They could use a kids menu, but our server kindly gave my daughter a few options to choose from. I had the seafood ravioli and the sauce was excellent.
Last night we had my wife’s birthday here and it was an absolutely amazing experience. Unfortunately our party size shrunk last minute but the staff and specifically Pat were very accommodating and friendly. I will definitely be back. Thank you all so much for such a great experience!
