Delicious!! I called in my order for pickup but next time will definitely be eating in, it is absolutely BEAUTIFUL inside!!! I got the Momma’s Medium combo; 2 fall off the bone, meaty, juicy, perfectly seasoned baked Turkey Wings…baked Mac & Cheese - the combo of cheeses really compliment each other and also perfectly seasoned…and delicious, fresh, collard greens (the smoothness of the creamy Mac and cheese went perfect with the greens). I cannot wait to go back! I shared with my daughter and mother, all 3 of us will definitely be supporting. Perfect addition to Morristown’s restaurant line up.

I’ve been eating here since the restaurant opened. The Fried Chicken /Mac and Cheese are my absolute favorites! The food is extremely well seasoned and the decor is VERY FUN. What’s really great about it is that anyone can dine here and have fun. The music really sets the ambience and let’s you know you’re going to enjoy your meal. I have definitely recommended this to people. Sometimes total strangers.

As other reviewers mentioned, the place is cheerful and presents a great vibe. There is more than ample seating, clean decor and good use of colors. The staff, upon entering, was friendly and attentive and the trend continued throughout my stay. To start, my party ordered tap water to drink and hush puppies. Other reviewers mentioned there was a $1 charge for purified tap water, but no such charge was on my bill. Perhaps this was a feature removed shortly after opening? The hush puppies (2) came and they tasted great! For about $6, it is a little pricey for the quantity, but that is more of a minor observation than a complaint. I'd like to see 3 hush puppies of the size given for the price if I could make a suggestion. For one of the meals, a fried catfish was ordered with collard greens and curried potatoes (soul bread on the side). The battered catfish was a bit dry, but the taste was there. The sides were excellent! Loved both the greens and the potatoes and soul bread packed a great sweet potato punch. For the 2nd meal, a chef's special was ordered. The meal consisted of oxtail in sauce over rice with a side of buttered cabbage. The oxtail had a pleasant taste, although I feel it could have benefited slightly from a longer cook time at a lower temperature. It was just a little bit short of "fall-off-the-bone" delicious, which I expect from oxtail prepared in any way. The cabbage was flavorful and buttery, but slightly over salted. Overall, my impression of the place is they definitely nailed the look and feel, hands down. Friendly staff makes people want to come back. The food aspect is very close to hitting the mark dead on and I have no doubt they will make minor tweaks to perfect the process. I'd gladly recommend this to friends and family and I will be seeing them again soon.

Food was tasty. I had fried whiting and fried chicken. Mac and cheese along with curried potato salad. Portions were small . Well seasoned but, was still hungry when finished. A little pricy for such small portions. My wife had A rib and A small turkey wing. Again, tasty but not nearly filling.

Just came across this restaurant today and love the food. I ordered the fried catfish, mac and cheese, and collard greens. Definitely will be going back and referring others to go.

Yum! All of our food was delicious. Soul bread was delectable. Food was fresh. Mac and cheese, chicken, yams all tasty. The staff was warm and welcoming and the decor is beautiful. Takes Morristown restaurant scene to a new level. Thanks Sandi!
