Authentic and genuine Italian! You can tell everything is made from scratch and made with Italian heritage behind it! The atmosphere is very cozy and inviting. This mixed with the great customer service and mouth-watering food will have anyone raving about this place!
We started with the complimentary homemade Bread, which comes with delicious olive and balsamic vinaigrette mixture to dip. I thoroughly enjoyed every bite of the Veal Marsala(added Broccoli) and the Stuffed Shells are a must!
I highly recommend to try as I will be going back many times to make my way through the menu! Italian is my favorite! You must try this place!
Such a great little family owned place with great waiters. It’s hard to find Italian here in Mount Pleasant and we were pleasantly surprised. Also offer great gluten free pasta options!
The food at Amalfi’s was good and very reasonably priced. The lasagna had too much of a tomato taste as did the baked ziti but the spaghetti with meat sauce was delicious.
Every time we eat there, we are impressed with how delicious everything tastes! We have been pleased with every entree we’ve tried. As soon as you enter the restaurant, you are met with the delicious aroma of their homemade bread. Give this cozy delicious restaurant a try. You won’t be disappointed.
We used to eat at the same restaurant in NC before the owner moved, so it was sentimental for us. The homemade bread, fresh salads, and big Stromboli are a big part of the experience. We decided to give it a try for our daughter's birthday since the other restaurant we had planned to eat at was closed. There were 6 people in our party and everyone enjoyed their food, though it was slightly slow in arriving at the table. Not enough delay to create a problem, though. The waitress was very friendly and took great care of us. Most of the tables were full, and there seemed to be a steady flow of takeout orders. I'd recommend it for a casual date night or special occasion, but it's not a fancy restaurant with white tablecloths, if you know what I mean. Food is also VERY reasonably priced, with the average entree being less than $15.
Delicious as always! We've eaten in twice and had it to go a few times and it's always great. The sauce is the best in the area. Eggplant Parm always on point. And the cannoli can't be best. Plus pricing for lunch is super reasonable.
Want to go to Italy but don’t want the 8+ hours in a plane, the jet lag and the expense? You probably mostly just want the yummy Italian dishes from Italy anyways, right?! If this is you then you’ve found your Italian restaurant. I’ve never been to Italy but I went to this Italian area of France and had magnificent, authentic Italian food. All of which was equally as impressive as the Italian food from Amalfi’s Italian Restaurant in Mt. Pleasant, SC. One of my best friend’s favorite foods is their eggplant parmigiana and she’s from Germany. She agrees Amalfi’s is most definitely the best and most authentic Italian food in the state and maybe in the entire South! Go there! Try it and get taken back in time to true Italian cuisine - the owner makes your time at Amalfi’s even better. Super great, happy, courteous staff.
I ordered door dash. Awesome house dressing! Fabulous lasagna! The bread was hard bc it was a delivery but warmed in a toaster oven just fine! $25 with extra tip bc company provided $25, looking forward to try everything else!
We've been loyal (and frequent) customers since they opened the doors in 2011. Never a mediocre meal or an apathetic server. The upstairs dining room is a great place for a small birthday party or bridal shower. Wonderful food!
We ate here last night on New Years Eve. The food, staff, and atmosphere was amazing. Their fresh bread with balsamic vinegar and EVOO was spectacular and warm!!!! My husband ordered the spaghetti and meat balls and he cleaned his plate!!!! My chicken marsala was awesome and such a huge portion I could not eat it all after the fresh bread and bruschetta we ordered. The bruschetta was also very good with mounds of fresh tomatoes!!! We highly recommend this place, we will be back soon to check out the pizza!!!
Was really excited to try this place after reading the great reviews. Our waitress was great and super attentive. But sadly, the food was simply not enjoyable. I tried the spaghetti with tomato sauce and it tasted like tomatoes were just taken out of a can. Little to no flavor. If you’re looking for “authentic” Italian, this is unfortunately not the place to go :(

We were staying at MUSC for my son and one of the nurses recommended this place because I wanted good Italian food. It was my birthday evening meal and it didn't disappoint. We had calamari, chicken marsala, and chicken and broccoli Alfredo. Each was very delicious and tasted authentic. The portion sizes for the price was great. The owner was really sweet and made me feel at home. It didn't feel like one of the big chains. I observed him talking with customers as I waited for my food. He was very friendly and concerned about people's good time. I loved that. It showed he cared about his customers.
I did a have a glass of wine while waiting but the food was prepared pretty quick which was great so I could get back to my son. The only issue I had was finding the place...lol 😆 I'm from out of town and the GPS took me to the front of the shopping center but I called the restaurant and the owner directed me through the shopping center until I found it. Worth it. I'll definitely be back to try more dishes 😋
Small, great place with a quaint atmosphere. The food is always delicious and consistent. Service is hit and miss when dining in, but they continue to struggle to find good, consistent help with servers, after COVID. Don't let service distract you from visiting because the food is that good. This is a must try place!
