LPG...first, let me thank you for making room for a party of 13 at 730 on a Saturday night. Chef Russell working the sauté station gave me quick lesson on the mac'n'chez and gave great suggestions on the evening specials. The cast iron skillet seared Wreckfish was super tasty. My gal had the cumin dusted ribeye which was cooked perfectly. Thanks again for a wonderful meal!

The food is really good. Chicken pasta or steak all seasoned just enough and never over done.

I was in the Charleston area with my 4 sisters for a vacation in June. It is very hard to get 5 women to agree on anything, but we finally decided to try this restaurant because the reviews we read online were good. When we first pulled up we were not sure this was even a restaurant or that it was open, but as we walked up to the door a couple walked out. We asked them if this place was any good and they said they lived close by and ate here at least 2-3 times a week and it was excellent. We were greeted and seated promptly by a friendly hostess. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful answering our questions about specials and recommending menu items. Each of us ordered something different (of course!) and EVERYTHING was magnificent! The She Crab Soup was delicious, the salads were fresh and the dressing tasted homemade. I had the Shrimp and Grits for my first time ever and was in LOVE. Everyone agreed (for once!) that this restaurant was the best food we had in the 5 days were were in the Charleston area! If you go, expect this restaurant to be noisy. The decor is rustic and pleasant, but the acoustics are harsh. You will not be disappointed with the food or service as both were impeccable!

Very nice experience, great service, best calamari I have ever had, had items on the menu I have never seen anywhere else and the scallops were the best I have ever tasted. Will definitely be going back and will try to save some room for dessert. Overall it was like eating food from what would be considered a fine dining house but at a price that regular folks can afford. Kudos to everyone involved.

The food is great and doesn't taste like the typical chain restaurant heat and go mix. The food seems to have an authentic real fresh food taste. The reason I give it 4 stars and not 5 is because it's very loud inside. The atmosphere is more like a burger joint rather than a restaurant. Had to speak loud to be heard by my date. Overall, I do recommend this place to anyone!

Pricey but tasty. We stumbled across LPG while looking for somewhere else and were glad for our luck. The menu was creative and showed inspired cooking and the food was even better than expected. The prices for lunch limited what our budget could afford but we found that a rich soup and a meal were sufficient for the two of us. It's clearly a neighborhood favorite and a well kept secret for truckers and travelers taking a back route to town .

Absolutely delicious food. Reasonable, fair prices. Generous portions. Short wait times. Friendly and prompt staff. My wife and I choose this restaurant over every other one in the surrounding area whenever we vacation in Charleston. We’ve NEVER had a bad experience. Highly recommend.

This place is kind of tucked away but so worth the drive. The dining space is intimate and has enough space to accommodate large and small parties. Also, the portions here are excellent. Their entrees are so yummy and filling, I had to ask for a to-go box and the leftovers wound up being a second meal later. They do serve alcohol as well and had a handful of local beers which I appreciate. I'm not sure if we came kind of early-ish as it wasn't as busy as I expected, given how awesome the food is. Seriously, if you haven't been definitely give this place a try, it is so good.

As a family we always enjoy going to brunch after church. Found this place a few months ago, and now it's one of our favorite go to's. The service is always friendly and very efficient. The food is delicious....would recommend the chocolate chip pancakes if you want to splurge, or the Apple salad if you prefer a healthy option. They also usually have something called Tomato Pie, which is like a brunch quiche....very good!! This place is a bit off the beaten path, but worth finding.

If you are in the Charleston/Mt. Pleasant, SC area you have to go here for their shrimp and grits. I can't have gluten, but they were very accommodating and just didn't add the gravy to the dish, gluten free shrimp and grits, and it was delicious. The fried chicken was also amazing, from what I was told, since I can't have breaded food, the gluten thing. It looked delicious, moist, and perfectly cooked. I know the next time I'm in Charleston the Long Point Grill is on the agenda for shrimp and grits.
