One of the best pizza places anywhere! This location is well situated away from traffic & has good parking. Staff is well trained & knowledgeable of the menu.
Nice bar area plus an outdoor seating area with games. Excellent for adults & children

We decided to stop in for a quick bite after getting our Christmas tree. We were greeted at the dront door with smiles and quickly seated at a large comfy booth. The atmosphere was great, and the server was at our table within minutes to take our drink order and let us know it was still Happy Hour...bonus! Our food came out perfect and all 4 of us were very happy and full!!! We will definitely be back soon.
Fun family friendly spot! Pizza was good. The dough was delicious. Their bruschetta appetizer was amazing and a must have.
This is no ordinary pizza place. All you have to do is order the Holy Shitake pizza to discover that. It is one of the most blissful pizzas ever. Whether on regular or gluten-free crust, it works wonderfully. Plain cheese pizza is good, not great. Salads are very nice and well-balanced. Wine selection is basic. Beer a little more interesting. The giant cookie sundae and the gluten free brownie were both very good. Service was extra friendly and attentive. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and parking. Great for families.
I’ve been going here for six years since I first moved to Charleston. I feel like the quality and quantity of the pizza is a great value and the service is always exceptional. I particularly like to call out a new server I met named Jordan at the bar who was incredible. Props to Jordan!!
This pizza place has a very friendly staff. Like they are ridiculously nice and that is so nice. The atmosphere is, as the name says, mellow.
I just wish I liked their pizza. I mean the toppings were great, the cheese was melty and the mushrooms were awesome but man the dough did not hit well with me personally.
They also have souvenirs.
I’d give the service we had from Taren as a 5+ if I could - she did a great job. Our salads were good (sad that they were out of avocado because of the renovation shut-down). Pizza was very good too. Atmosphere and art are very COOL!
My family and I had a great experience yesterday at Mellow Mushroom! The food was great but the service was even better! The young lady Jade was so friendly to our kids who were antsy at the table and she periodically checked on us to make sure we were taken care of! Our server Emily was on top of everything and made us feel so welcomed! Thank You Jade and Emily for bringing back customer service! I'm sorry about the lady giving you a hard time over something you couldn't control.
Oh and if you can't decide- get the Shitake mushroom pizza!
Overall: A bit pricey, but Mellow Mush serves up some great pies.
The good: We've had Mellow multiple times in different locations, and the good news is that the pizza is always great. Lots of toppings, awesome crust, and interesting combinations. While it's a bit over-the-top, I dig the ambience of the restaurants too. Service at this location was friendly and on time.
The not-so-good: Three pieces of our carryout pizza had massive air bubbles, causing half of each of those those slices to no sauce/toppings (pictured). I give them the benefit of the doubt though, hoping that it doesn't happen every time. Also, the prices are pretty high for pizza. $30 for a large is a bit extreme.

Fabulous food and atmosphere!! The salad is large, delicious, and filling. My daughters and I are vegan. They loved the vegan cheese on their pizza. The atmosphere is fun and inviting. We will definitely be going back.
