Went with my wife for our anniversary. The food is expensive compared to other similar places, but it is by far the best Asian food I've had in a long time. You really get what you pay for. It was all delicious, from the appetisers to the entrees. My only regret is not being able to eat more. Again yes it is expensive, but I eagerly await the next time we go.

LOVED THEM. Came in with a huge party (13 adults) for such a small place and they accommodated us very well. Best service I’ve had with such a small staff. Gave great local recommendations as well.

Had dinner with my husband and toddler last night. Everything was delicious! I got the duck confit bun as an appetizer - it melted in my mouth 😋. For our meals. My husband got the bogolgi, I got the fire cracker, and my son got the scallion pancake. We ALL cleaned our plates. And its BYOB - cant get any better than that. This is our new family favorite!

The sushi was delicious and the Scottish and Norwegian salmon Nigiri were wonderful. This is an expensive place but I found the sushi sampler to be very good value.

Hands down the BEST place in Charleston to get sushi. You can't go wrong with any of Chef Annie's Korean dishes, and Chef Sean always has something interesting and new to try on his Sashimi and Nigiri menu. Don't come to eat here if you are in a rush. Sean and Annie want you to relax and enjoy their food, their art that they make for you. Here, you are treated like family. Go to Kanpai!!

Some of the best sushi I’ve ever had. I will say it was a bit pricier than my normal sushi taste, but I think it’s almost ruined sushi for me in the best way possible. I wasn’t so sure about it to start, but after my own personal 3 rolls and seeing my friend get the chefs choice 8 course meal, the price became instantly worth it. I’d recommend this place to anyone who asks. It was delicious and the chef was super kind and entertaining every-time he stopped by the table. I will be returning!

Fantastic food! Chef Sean was concerned with us being a party of 8 including children but accommodated us easy. Online ordering was so cool and allowed us to easily order a little at a time. Would definitely go back regularly if lived in Charleston. Thank you Chef Sean!

All the food was delicious and high quality! Had some awesome ramen. We had that along with bao buns, sushi and edamame. Everything was top notch. I came here one other time and had the best miso soup I’ve had in Charleston. Totally worth checking out if you haven’t tried it yet

Food was absolutely fantastic! The fish is extremely fresh and the hand rolls are so creative and unique. The salmon nigiri was the best I have ever had. Owner is also very nice and customer service was great.

Sushi Chef Sean created an unforgettable omakase experience. He asked about allergies, preferences, and aversions then crafted a ~2hr tasting of 12+ dishes. Despite always trying anything I see on a menu that I've never had before, I was repeatedly (and pleasantly) surprised with new experiences. Call ahead, bring your favorite spirits, and clear a few hours for this one. It's well worth it.
