As diners go, this is probably the best one around here. Service is always friendly, but can be a bit slow when they're swamped. The Biscuits & Gravy are great. Crisp breading, excellent meat, and perfect gravy. The Country Skillet is very good (was a little heavy on the onions, though). Pretty much everything is a solid choice, but the one time I got Catfish it was way soggy and gross, so there's that. This place can get pretty busy, so you may want to be mindful of avoiding the rush hours. They recently discontinued porch service due to the inability to keep up with that many tables.
Absolutely loved this place. Small diner with big plates of delicious food. Party of 7, everyone was happy! Coffee refills non-stop too. I had chicken fried steak and eggs, topped with gravy. Better than large chain restaurants. Great flavor, GREAT service too! Only regret, I wish I lived closer, this would be on of my regulars back home.
Classic small town diner with friendly service and good breakfast/brunch food. Atmosphere is very small, unique, and dated. Party tried buttermilk pancakes, oatmeal, and classic breakfast with meat, eggs, & American fries. All items were cooked well and they keep your coffee hot/topped off. A must try if you’re driving through or visiting the casino in Mt. Pleasant.
Awesome service, great food, clean areas. I ordered the breakfast burrito. It was huge. Could only eat half of it. Just remember they don't take credit or debit cards. They do have an ATM on premises.
Where to begin. I love it. My partner and I had brunch at The Diner yesterday . He had The Crispy Chicken Sandwich with Fries. I had Hott Turkey Sandwich with Real Mashed Potatoes & Coleslaw.
The Coleslaw reminded me of My Grandma's Coleslaw. The mashed Potato out of This world.
I also love me A Hott Open Sandwich.
My partner said His Crispy Chicken Sandwich was good and He liked it alot.
I also love that The Diner carries Pepsi products.
The only thing is that they take cash only.
But to remedy this is that they had a ATM.
Plus The menu. Alot of choices of what I call comfort food.
Nice little place , worth the wait I felt. Service was great , everyone liked their food . We will return , looking forward to trying Friday fish night
Loved this place! The hospitality was genuine and appreciated. The menu had plenty of options and we enjoyed everything we ordered! If you plan to come for a weekend breakfast, make sure you arrive early. The place is packed, and once you eat here, you'll know why. We were passing through the area, and if our travels bring us back this way, we'll for sure return.
Recommend: A small order of biscuits and gravy as an appetizer, and blueberry pancakes as your meal. So good!
My early morning visit offered many seats in the house. Those seats filled quickly over the next hour with locals meeting and discussing the weather, investments, and other daily activities.
Fresh and delicious coffee was delivered to my table promptly along with an extensive menu of breakfast and lunch options.
Because the Breakfast Skillet was recommended to me by two different people, that’s what I chose. It did not disappoint.

Best place in mount pleasant for brunch. The servers are always super friendly and quick. The portions are large for a very reasonable price. The cinnamon rolls are huge and DELICIOUS. I recommend swapping toast for "baby pancakes" which are normal sized pancakes and served with hot syrup
First time trying this place and it's not bad. It was really busy, they had us wait in our car and texted when our table was ready. Food was okay and so was the service. It is a diner .
Once a while you run across a mom n pop restaurant that stands out above the rest with excellent food and service.
Today I found this gem. We walked in and was made to feel at home. The waitress had the best attitude and cared for our business.
Now the wait staff gets a 10 star review and the food is the best breakfast I have had in a while. 10 stars indeed.
If you are in Mt Pleasant and want the best breakfast, forget the chain restaurants give this gem a try. Best breakfast ever!!!!
