You wouldn’t think a little Korean restaurant in Mt Pleasant would be very good, but it’s the best I’ve had in Michigan! I’ve been going for about 6 years now and it’s still my favorite restaurant.

Where I Go When I Am Missing My Mother's Homecooked Korean Meals....Enough Said. After I came to Central, I missed my mom's home cooked Korean meals so much. So I was ecstatic when Shin's opened up! The meals are fresh, flavorful and delicious. Not to mention, they are as authentic as you can get for Mt. Pleasant. I don't mind paying a little extra for a meal there, they come with never-ending fresh Korean sides of Kimchi and Pickled Radish.

When I brought my mom there for a visit, she really enjoyed her food and was happy I had a place to get good Korean food. Shin's is most definitely a hidden gem of Mt. Pleasant that I recommend everyone try at least once to experience quality Korean cuisine.

Great Korean at Shin's. I tried Shin's because I love good Korean food and the reviews were so positive. I was not at all disappointed. Yum!

This little 6-table restaurant is in a nondescript strip center, but worth seeking out. As other reviewers have said, the place was sparkling clean, the service was prompt, friendly, and helpful. When I arrived, the other patrons were all Korean, which I took as a good sign.

The food was delicious. I got the Dolsit Bi Bim Bap, which is various pickled/salted veggies served on top of hot rice in a sizzling stone bowl, and topped with a raw egg yolk. You stir in the yolk, which cooks because the bowl and rice are so hot. The server offered to add meat, if I wanted. It's served with a very nice hot and sweet sauce and sides of kim chee and some sort of pickled radish. I don't even like radishes, and it was great.

If I lived in Mt. Pleasant, I'd become a regular at Shin's.
