Amazingly accommodating and wonderful staff! My brother has autism and is nonverbal, which makes taking him out to eat at restaurants occasionally stressful. Luckily for my mother and I, Doug was there. He was extremely attentive and accepting to my brother, making our dining experience relaxed and much more enjoyable than normal. Wonderful food, great beer, and a totally inclusive environment - hands down one of our best dining experiences to date in Mount Pleasant!
Went here before a concert and Doug was an amazing server, surpassed every expectation we had. Very pleased with out service. Thank you Doug!
Love love love this place! Great pizza, even better beers, and it's always nice to be recognized by the staff as a regular! :)
Great food and drinks and cool atmosphere..top shelf staff
This is my Graceland. Always plenty of hoppy options on draft and Chef Hoke don’t mess around.
How is this place not higher rated? Awesome beer, GET THE MUSSELS, you won't be disappointed. Can I give them a 10? The service was amazing and there was a large private party taking up most of the dining area. This place has it down.
Good food at a carribeam themed dining room featuring two piano's playing requests. A very nice party atmosphere, patio dining also available.
The honey salmon and smashed potatoes were delicious. I even received two pieces of salmon because one piece was small. You don't see that often and it was thoughtful.
The beer was great!
The French Dip sandwich while it was good came out cold.
Our waitress was nice but it took her forever to check on us throughout our dining experience. I do understand that restaurants may be short-staffed but this was after the rush and not busy at all.
Either way, I would go back.
Solid beer, great food. Our waitress was super nice and had the coolest shirt.
The decorations are all over the place. It’s eccentric AF.
I haven’t been to Mount pleasant in about a year, chose Hunters to have a beer and catch up with a friend. The pizza was amazing! Tired a couple different IPAs, both fantastic! Excellent service as well!
My family and I tried this place before a concert and it did not disappoint. The food was amazing and the atmosphere is pretty awesome. The staff was incredible. I recommend this place if you're in the Mount pleasant area
We only stopped in for a beer and a snack after shopping at Menards. We had never been, but chose Hunters Ale House because it was the first lit up place we saw last night at 10:30. We were from out of town and treated very well! The pizza, the beer, the service were all very good! Next time we need to go to Menards we'll have to stop in again ♥️
The food and atmosphere were AWESOME!
Great serving sizes. We came on a Sunday evening, I'm sure it is a fun place on the weekends! Server was patient as well, my mom and I were detailed in what we wanted, lol.
I’m impressed with their beer selection and quality. I highly recommend the Mac&Cheese; it’s the 2nd best I’ve had anywhere. The cheese curds had an awesome raspberry sauce. Chicken Tenders were nice and juicy. Coleslaw was below average, but the fries were excellent. Overall, the quality was excellent, but 100% of the items were overpriced for their quality. Another tragedy of awesome product but poor value.
Risotto was pretty good, but a little overpriced $16. Fish and chips was frozen sticks, like Long John Silvers - definitely not what you expect or want for $15.49. Beer was decent, patio was nice, especially with live music. But, be warned they are LOTS of beetles on the patio, especially once dusk hits.
Despite being short-staffed (who isn’t these days?), they did a great job seating us within the quoted time (about 30min). The food was hot, delicious, and the drinks and beer were great too. My kids had the pulled pork sandwich and kids chicken fingers which were great and my husband and I had the hand tossed pizza and Cajun chicken sandwich. Absolutely delicious!!! We will definitely go back.
This was my first time visiting Hunter's Ale House, therefore I didn't really know what to expect. Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised by my overall experience. The service was prompt and the server was friendly. I had a difficult time deciding what to order since so many items sounded delicious! I ended up ordering the meathead thin crust Artisan pizza. Oh my, if your into thin crust pizzas you must give their pizzas a try!! I promise you won't be disappointed.
Hunters Alehouse is everything I look for in a bar and grill spot. Good seating, friendly service, live shows on occasions, big projector screens to show the games, great food that's decently priced, and amazing architecture. If you love Bar and Grills, this is the place to be. I have had some wait staff who didn't check on us for a bit too long when we were ready for the bill, but they were friendly and had great personalities there (could be from too many tables at once.) They also have a Valentines day deal where for $60 per person you get an appetizer, and entre, your choice of wine, and a desert. The catch is there is a selected menu by the chef on what is made so you can't get anything you want, but the choices were pretty good (smothered chicken was to die for).
Great place!
This is a good spot to catch the game. Food was decent. Our server was very nice and helpful

I went to Hunter's Ale House on Wednesday for my first time. Wow! Apparently, I've been missing out🎶🎤🎵. Wednesday is karaoke night. Honestly, it was well organized, and it ran smoothly in comparison to some other s@*t shows I've been to. It was such a great time and a great atmosphere. I would highly recommend Hunter's Ale House. 🍺 💜🫶
The food is lackluster with a menu thats rather seemingly incoherent. Its seemingly trying to be pub bistro but missing certain theme. The burgers are good though and the sides if they made em just a touch more unique would be awesome. The beer especially the scotch ale is where this place is a shining den of awesome. This place is best experienced on trivia night with friends, getting a burger and try some pints if there exquisite beer. Everything else on the menu to me is just meh, haven't enjoyed the other sandwhiches, the fish is meh, and the other dinner options are not as great flavor wise as other restaurants in town.
Great food and good beer at Hunter's! We came to Mt. Pleasant for a concert and a good time. Hunter's is nicely placed on the other side of town so the place was not extremely packed and we were able to get seated right away. The atmosphere was great too. One thing I'll say is the service was a little slow but not our waitresses fault. Despite being understaffed in today's world, I felt the entire staff did their best to keep the place moving and happy! Definitely would return when in town.
