Best Chinese restaurant in Mount Pleasant hands down. This place was a staple duration my undergraduate experience and continues even though I no longer live in town. Give this place a try, you won't regret it!

Hands down, best Chinese in the area. Been coming here with my family since I was a little girl, I have a soft spot for it. Food is always great--the egg rolls and crab rangoon are unrivaled.
The take out service was very nice. Food was good too but the fried tofu was a bit soggy and I would have loved more flavor in the curry. All in all, it was a great Chinese treat. Very tasty!

A Strange Place.... This place is weird. All the employees (and owner) are a bit off. The fellow that greeted me (and by greeted, I mean vigorously ignored me for about a solid minute while counting change) had all the charm and personality of a wet rag. Once seated the service was OK, just strange in a way in which words fail me. The food was OK if, perhaps, a bit on the lower end of the scale. Ingredients seemed relatively fresh, but for instance, the shrimp in the Singapore noodles were those super tiny kind like you'd find in a can. The Fried Pork Wonton was about 80% wonton and 20% pork and very dry. The overall flavor of the Singapore noodles was decent, but just seemed to be missing something, especially for the price. Finally, they have awards ALL over the walls. Let me tell you something... I seriously HATE those stupid Readers Choice awards that a lot of papers do. The "winner" is never the actual BEST restaurant, it's just the one people are MOST AWARE OF. Here, in Mt. Pleasant, a lot of those votes are cast by college kids who never venture more than two blocks from campus and therefore aren't qualified to vote on such matters. In almost EVERY category, the winners are laughable at best compared to other options nearby. SO, in my opinion, all these "awards" are absolutely MEANINGLESS. Anyway, overall, its worth giving it a try, but it doesn't meet the expectations of a place with so many "awards".
Delicious - Bring your own Soy. I've been eating here for years - arguably the best Chinese in Mount Pleasant. My only complaint is that they water down the soy sauce.
The soy is diluted that when you sprinkle some on your steamed rice, it turns only a very light brown. Quit watering down the soy sauce!
Fantastic food & service! Don't sit by a window or the door though in winter months, quite chilly. I loved that they serve in beautiful dinner ware. This place has been voted best Asian restaurant in mid- Michigan so many times the wall is over flowing with awards! Easy parking and access to building. Peking duck served here also with 24° notice!
Will definitely return to this place.

This place is such a hidden gem. They have the biggest menu I have ever seen at a Chinese restaurant. Let me first say, I write tons of reviews and am a true foodie! I eat at a restaurant at least once a week and I am not talking about fast food. Looks are deceiving, I will say this place could use a renovation and some upgrades. But that aside, the food here is second to none. Everything is cooked to perfection. And with a menu this large, that is not an easy task. Please give this place a try. The servers could use some training on how to properly talk to a customer, as the one gentleman who has been a server there as long as I can remember talks with street lingo which has no place at a restaurant in my opinion. But in his defense, I will say he is a really great server and does pay attention to all your needs. So at the end of the day he still gets a great review from me. I have tried about 30 different dishes here and have never been dissatisfied or disappointed. I even brought a friend here who is a Chinese restaurant owner himself and he was impressed with the menu and great food. Last time here, I got fried Pot Stickers with beef, Crispy Duck, and Shrimp Fried Rice. Here are some pictures. So please, give this place a try.
The only place open after 9pm and I was very happily surprised. Everything was delicious and I had plenty for leftovers, yummm!
I have never been disappointed with the food here! I consider it to be the best Chinese food restaurant in town as far as food. The restaurant itself on the other hand is very worn out. It needs to be updated, cleaned and organized again. I’ve been coming here for almost 30 years. And they have done nothing to the building in that entire time.
The food here is so very good. Best egg roll I've ever had and that is serious high praise from me. I judge Chinese restaurants based on my favorite apps, which are egg rolls and crab rangoons. The rangoon is sweet, savory and has delicious flavor. We have tried multiple entrees and they have all been delicious. The chicken is good quality and anything breaded is lightly done. Oh! And the fried rice isn't just brown rice, it has veggies in it, this deserves a chef's kiss!
We've always had good service, and the atmosphere is fine. I would gladly eat this food in a dark alley so I couldn't care less about what it looks like inside. I'm so grateful to have finally found good Chinese in this town, a thousand thank you's for existing. Looking forward to trying the new location!
Amazing! We really enjoyed our visit, the quality, the flavors, fresh, reasonable prices- our server Tom was truly a kind person- made our meal more enjoyable. We'll be driving from Ohio to bring our family back for a visit.
Amazing owners, amazing service! I got the Mongolian beef and it was so tender and went very well with the fried rice. Just passing by but hopefully will run into this area again. I wouldn’t contemplate giving this restaurant a try. I see why they are #1 from 2003!
Had a wonderful day with my husband and ended it with a wonderful dinner at China garden. The food is a definite 10 plus!! The best Chinese food in the area. Sarah who took care of us was extremely genuine and an ease to talk to. She made us feel welcomed and was one of the best servers we ever have had!! Mary the owner is extremely sweet as well and we look forward to coming back again and again!! 💜💜💜

It's not much to look at, but the best and freshest Chinese food in the city.
Literally my FAVORITE. RESTAURANT. EVER. I have been here more times than I can count and they NEVER disappoint! That also have some of the most amazing vegan/vegetarian options of anywhere I've ever been to!
Food was excellent. Great egg rolls. Had Broccoli Beef and Cashew Chicken. The wait staff was very efficient. Our server, Ace, was one of the most pleasant people I've ever met. It was a very good dining experience overall.
I highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for good Chinese!
