When walking in I was greeted so nicely by the staff. I loved the crust and cheese — my slices were hot and when the staff opened the box for me to add my crushed pepper and garlic to my slices my mouth watered. They were a good size, not like those over priced little rinky dink slices. I’ll definitely be back, it was delicious, if you’re looking for a good slice, this spot won’t disappoint!

Lived off N Terrace 20 years ago. Scala's was the spot and still is. Drove all the way from S.C.

Crust is crisp, sauce is very good, not watered down, tastes like freshly squashed tomatoes. The cheese is superb. Awesome fresh pizza will go back, but sadly I will not order the Zappoles again. They were dry and hard.

Very tasty crust and cheese. Sauce is mild but flavorful. GREAT wings, they're not jumbo but natural. Overall very nice experience and WILL return. Nice work Scala!

Just Perfect! To the owners, thank you for sharing your gift with us!I feel blessed having experienced the most deliciously made pizza and I have had many! The crust is just perfect and the sauce is equally tasty. There are a variety of toppings and dishes. I truly loved it.

Bomb pizza spot. My second favorite in the area. The first is a spot I've been going to since I was 12

A nice hole-in-the-wall pizza place with quality fare beyond its humble appearance from the outside. I ordered and eggplant parm hero. The sauce was tangy, the cheese was in good proportions an the eggplant was nice and thin. My only real complaint was the amount of olive oil they put on the bread. It is a nice touch, put they put too much in my opinion and it is slightly off putting. A good idea, but maybe a little bit of less is more. Worth going to for a pie to go or to cater the big game.

Excellent portions. Went above and beyond. Deliver guy called to tell me he was one block away. I came downstairs in a minute and he was there! I ordered spaghetti and tomato sauce with no butter and my order was perfect. The garlic knots and zeppoles were good!

The pizza is AMAZING. I've had most of the items on the menu and can't complain about anything. They aim to please and make sure they get to know each customer. They greet you and thank you each time. I've read some of the negative reviews and it's sad how some people are trying to trash a great place. I'm sad the owner passed away but i must say the family and friends who jumped in to help are absolutely inviting. I love ordering from there everyday. GREAT PIZZERIA AND STAFF!!

Wow! I consider myself a "pizza connoisseur", and after a friend recommended Scala pizza to me, I had to try it for myself. The overall flavor of the slices I tried were nothing less than amazing. The crust was crispy, the sauce fresh , the cheeses were just he right amount and tasty, and the toppings were quality and plentiful, all in all, A truly delicious eating experience. I will be returning again, and recommending to my friends!

The pizza here is the best Ive ever had and I wont order from anywhere else. Most new york-style pizza places have a VERY tangy, almost sour tomato sauce. Scala has a nice sweet garlic-heavy sauce. I tend to not care for the thin crispy brick oven pizza, nor do i like thick dominos (which is one step above frozen pizza imo) and this pizza is nice and doughy in a very respectable way, staying very true to the new york style.
