TOO good!! Hubby and I came for lunch before we visited George Washington’s house and boy am I glad we did. I ordered the Mushroom Ragout and it was so savory! I definitely recommend. My husband ordered the turkey pot pie which seemed to be a favorite as about 3 other people at the bar ordered it too!

What a neat place to dine in, the atmosphere brings you back in time. We were impressed by how good the food tasted. The serving was generous and the prices were fair. We didn't have room for desserts this time so we will be back. We came back again and I had their crab cake sandwich which was amazing. This restaurant is becoming one of my favorite places to go.

Brunch was good. We were able to walk in and get a table. Food was good but service was just okay. It’s also fun to pretend your back in time. I’d say it’s worth it if you’re planning on going before visiting the historic home and grounds but not worth it to go out of your way to visit.

Great Restaurant, Great Food, Great Service. I definitely enjoyed eating at this restaurant. I would eat here again and really enjoy the hoecakes excellent 😋 Everyone enjoyed what they got. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. John 3:3 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. John 3: 16,17

My husband and I enjoyed dinner in the walk-in bar area as all the tables were reserved for the evening. I had the jambalaya. My husband had the turkey pot pie. We both enjoyed trying something new. For dessert I had the bread pudding! It was delicious. This place offers a nice meal for locals and visitors alike. Definitely try it out. Please note- they do close fairly early!

Steak salad and some chicken was beast. Brussels sprouts and bacon was good but I wish the menu would’ve told me that it had syrup (I’m on a low sugar diet) but besides that it’s was great and I’ll definitely return in the future. They’ll modify your food the way you want it and that was gr8!

Our server was informative and helpful. The food was good and you’re at Mt Vernon, of course the atmosphere was great! I’m case you wondered what hoecake is, here it is. I think it would be called pancakes. Either way, they were good. I also had the fried green tomatoes and here is a picture of the portabella sandwich. She did choose a different bread because of dietary issues.

This was a great place to eat during our visit to Mount Vernon. The service was great and our food came very quickly. A fife player came through the restaurant and added a lot of fun to the experience. We would eat at this place again.

Great chicken sandwich and fries. The Pale Ale the bartender recommended was also delicious. Would definitely come back even when not visiting the estate.

My wife and I planned a day at mount Vernon and scheduled a reservation at the Inn a few days before. After spending the morning walking around the grounds and taking two great tours we headed to the Inn for our lunch. When we arrived we were kindly greeted, and promptly taken to our table. Our server was very nice and did a fantastic job during our meal. We shared the cornbread which was good, we also shared the “hoecakes” they were delicious! My wife’s main entreé was a crab cake sandwich which she loved! My main entreé was the braised beef with mashed Yukon gold potatoes and broccolini, this was to die for. The beef was tender and flavorful and the mashed potatoes rocked!

A restaurant at George Washington's Mount Vernon. I can highly recommend this over their fast food section. The food is fairly well portioned. When getting their sandwiches, I recommend getting the fries added for $2. They add a lot and they are better than the standard fries you'd expect.

Good food, excellent service, and a nice atmosphere. They had walk up seating around 1pm on a Friday. Nice option for a sit down meal, which you may want to sit down after touring Mount Vernon for a few hours.

A restaurant has never impressed me more. The food was absolutely phenomenal and the service was spectacular! Aicha (our server) was wonderful, the atmosphere delightful and all around probably some of the best food we’ve eaten in Alexandria.. Chef’s kiss 😘

We had a lovely visit and highly reccomend having a meal here! The staff was wonderful, the atmosphere mimicked an old manor, and the menu is diverse. We ordered the Jumbalaya and Steak Frites as per our server, Steven's suggestions and were happily surprised. The portions are more than generous and every bite was flavorful.

Everyone enjoyed the food. The $24 chicken and waffles - the chicken was good and a nice portion but the waffle is way too small for this price. The chicken was larger than the waffle portion. Burger and chips were great. Benedict also great. Server was attentive but seemed angry with all of his tables.
