I just went here with my mom. First off, the place was at capacity with a waiting line the entire time we were there. Despite this, they got everyone seated within a reasonable amount of time. The food is very good, with large portions and prices no more than what a cheap chain restaurant charges these days for subpar food. Calico uses fresh, local ingredients and their coffee is really quite good. Attentive friendly staff and prompt service, the longest we waited for anything was just to be cashed out.
All in all a great (not so) little place!

My friend and I planned to go here for breakfast because she had been here before. I love breakfast. It is my favorite meal of the day. I had never been here before. I was not disappointed. This place is wonderful. I loved the ambience. The food was fabulous. The wait staff very friendly. It was quite busy but we were very well taken care of while we waited. I will be back to Calico Cupboard as it is now one of my favorite places. Thanks for such a great experience!
We went out for breakfast, and decided to eat here, it looked pretty busy, but we only waited about 5 minutes or so to be seated, the staff member who seated us took our drink order, andf it was promptly delivered, maybe 5 minutes later, our order was taken and around 10 mins to get our food, staff stopped by in passing to ask if all was good, we enjoyed our breakfast and even took baked goods home. All in all today was a great experience at Calico Cupboard!
A word to people who complain , not every experience is going to be perfect every time, sometimes different staff combination and guest capacity will affect your experience!
I have been enjoying Calico Cupboard with my wife since the 90s. They are always friendly and have some great food options. They almost always have a wait for a table but it's worth it if you have time. If I have had a bad experience (everyone has off days) they have been amazingly accommodating. Norvel the manager really knows how to attract and guide a great staff. They are very real and diverse people but they are all fantastic.
Love Calico Cupboard. We drive down from New Westminster BC about once every couple of months just to have lunch. Wish they had not taken the shrimp omelet off the menu!! It was my favourite meal !!
I live downtown and Calico Cupboard is always a favorite! I took my cousin who was visiting from Orange here for breakfast and it was a very down to earth environment like always! They home make most of their menu items and I love that! I had one of their bloody mary's and it was very yummy. One of my go to places in MV!
Delicious food and the desserts are too die for!!! Great place to stop for a bite to eat!
The combination lunch is excellent, the serving is already filling! The bread & pastries are delightful, great drive by old world charm! �
We live in Tacoma so we don’t come often. When we head north this is our favorite food stop. Always busy but waiting line moves quickly. We never leave without something yummy from the bakery case!
Delicious breakfast, totally healthy or not, the choices are wonderful. Raining and cold outside, we were able to sit by the fire and enjoy a lovely meal, as always.
