This is a traditional Japanese restaurant with stellar food. This chef clearly cares deeply about what she is producing. The ingredients are always fresh and prepared to perfection. It is not a fast food restaurant, so don't expect in and out in 30 minutes, nevertheless, the food arrives remarkably fast even when the restaurant is full. You will not find a better Bento box, certainly not at $26. Other items at the top of their game are the sushi, sashimi and the tempura. Also the tonkatsu, or panko-encrusted pork cutlet is amazing.
Sukiyaki! My favorite Japanese dish is Sukiyaki. Unfortunately it is difficult to find and when I do find it it either ok or not really sukiyaki but a beef rice bowl in a sukiyaki soup base. Kyoto Kitchen has REAL sukiyaki.
I was surprised to find the restaurant empty. Especially with the quality of the meal and the ambiance of the restaurant both inside and outside.
I ordered my meal "to go" and only waited for about 10 minutes.
A very nice AUTHENTIC Japanese restaurant with friendly and attentive staff.
Beautiful, quiet place! Amazing food! Everything is so fresh! Perfect place for a quiet evening. Try the fried chicken. You will never go back after that. Seafood lovers.. the seafood salad is amazing!
It’s our second time here. The restaurant has unique scenery. All food are delicious. Service is so nice and friendly. This time we ordered Bento, Tempura, and Ramen. They all are fresh and tasty, especially Ramen which is flavorsome. We do love eating here.
I love the food here, but the server has some issues. There were times when she was very very nice, but the last time was rude and not even paying attention. I know it's a family business and I love going there, but definitely they need to hire more people
Excellent food, one of my favorite restaurants in Mt. Vernon. Unfortunately we have spent more disappointing moments having to deal with the restaurant being closed for whatever reasons than getting the joy of enjoying the meals, or maybe its just our bad timing. Recently we made sure checked the website said was opened for business drove 30mins when we got there there was a notice saying closed to be opened on the 22nd. very disappointing indeed. Please can you update your website to keep loyal customers informed and satisfied.
As soon as you open the door, you can enjoy the aroma of authentic Japanese food that we missed since leaving Hawaii 4 years ago. Portions are very generous and the taste is the best we’ve found in the Northwest. Sadly no to go orders, but they’re willing to pack up your leftovers
I got the Gyoza as an app. Very good, house made. The Kitchen Roll was my meal and it was amazing. Loved the atmosphere, the waitress was very nice and again, the food was delicious.
Bento box beef came with a good salad and the side soup w/rice solid service and food
