Just finished dinner at Chophouse in Mt Vernon and it was incredible! If your anywhere in NE Texas this place is worth the drive. Of all the great restaurants I’ve dined at in DFW, none beat this place. Flash fried, whole red snapper.....WOW!

My wife and I had an amazing brunch at The Chophouse on Bankhead in Mount Vernon today. If you want to have an amazing brunch experience I highly recommend you try this place out. A special thank you to Jeff Schrunk and Eshfaq Enam Chowdhury for the amazing food and warm welcome.
Normally after a meal of this caliber, we have to drive an hour and a half home from the Metroplex. What a gem of a restaurant. The food was impeccable, service was attentive and professional, and atmosphere was sophisticated. We'll be regular patrons for sure.

We were delightfully surprised by the gourmet dishes! Everything was wonderful. Ask for pasta Nero. Wish we had had this first! Waitstaff was excellent.
Now on our list of restaurants to make regular visits.

Great food! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff! I have been here quiet a few times and it never disappoints! I recommend it to everyone I know! The Ribeye is the best I've ever eaten in a restaurant! Keep up the good work guys and gals!
Best food in the area! Enam is an amazing chef. The truffle linguini is probably the best thing I've ever had. The salmon I had tonight also great. Not a bad thing on the menu
Great whole in the wall restaurant. High end eating but without the high end type environment. Just a really cool environment. Awesome staff. I had the scallop appetizer, which was fantastic. Just wished there were more than 3. Main course, I had the filet. It did not disappoint. Dessert was their creme brule. I'm glad the portion was small. I followed the meal with coffee and a cigar on the back patio. So they are cigar friendly. The downtown area is really neat. Really takes you back in time. I will definitely be back!!
Had a wonderful evening! Had a little hiccup but taken care of like royalty. Great food, great people, great owners. Looking forward to going back.
