My husband and I visited here September 9, 2023 for lunch. The resturant has a relaxing atmosphere and service is given inside or on the back deck where you can enjoy the Marshwalk along with the boats that's giving tours. Wonderful waitress and the food was very good.

This place was fast as I don't know what. It sits on a beautiful area displaying water, piers, boats, jets skies and such. They have outside setting and bands a playing. I had the She Crab Soup. Amazing Soup and I'm not a big fan of soups. Nice thickness and amount of Crab in it. Sometimes you might come across a piece of shelling or two in these soups, which is expected, so just make sure you eat this gently. Had a Cobb Salad with some Honey Butter Croissant Rolls. The rolls was fluffy and flacky, the salad built hardy and good. Main course I had a Prime Rib with back potato. Potato is expected out of a potato. But that Prime Rib was so juicy and tender it isn't even funny. That Prime Rib tasted amazing with the Au Jus they give you for it.

J Peters Grill & Bar is great! The server was polite. We ordered a full rack of ribs and a flounder platter. Both orders came with sweet potatoes, house salad and a small sweet crescent. The portions of both dishes were big and we enjoyed it very much! Outdoor seating is a plus!

Large portion, tasty and the atmosphere is not bad. However service was slow and food for one of the person in our party came out way after the rest of the party.

We went for an early bird dinner. Two of us had the prime rib, the other the flounder. The house salad with house dressing was generous and delicious. The prime rib was superb, moist and very flavorful. Their buns, honey dribbled croissants, were delicious. My broccoli was perfect, not overcooked. The flounder was lightly breaded, no excess oil, and tasted very good. We've eaten here before, but this was the best meal yet.

The food here was amazing. The burger was huge! The staff was very polite and attentive. The atmosphere was a little loud, but it wasn't terrible.

Ate here for the first time tonight while visiting my mother in law. She recommended it as she's been there several times. Food and service was great. I had the grilled salmon. Seasoned very well. Prices (we were there for early bird menu) were very reasonable.

Excellent food. My companion enjoyed the prime rib and loaded mashed potatoes (bacon, scallions and cheese). I went for J Peter Chicken (spicy grilled chicken, ham, bacon and cheddar) and a baked potato. Part of the meal was their house salad with lettuce tomato egg cucumber and bacon. It was served with their signature croissant and a warm honey butter drizzle. Wine servings are about 8 oz. We tried the brownie sundae and apple cobbler, both with ice cream, for dessert with coffee. Service was outstanding, with the server checking back on us often. We were from out of town so feeling welcomed and not rushed in a highly tourist driven area was outside some experiences we have had on this road trip. Purchased a gift card for our friends who live in the area. Excellent!

A hidden gem surrounded by all the rest of the more well known Murrells Inlet restaurants. Service is fast and friendly. The flounder and chicken tenders are fresh. Prices are very reasonable. We will return!

Went out for dinner to celebrate Dad's birthday. Was very busy, Waitstaff accommodating during my time in. But heard a bit about my Parents last dining experience where this wasn't the case. Got a Houseburger with Bacon, might have been due to how busy it was. Bacon was like rubber for the whole table.

My mom suggested this place and it’s a HIT! Five Star Environment-option for indoor dining with a sophisticated feel, or option for outdoor seating that overlooks the ocean inlet. Five Star Food-my mother and I both ordered very different entrées. She ordered their blackened salmon and I ordered a barbecue chicken sandwich. Each of our dishes came out exceptional and we both finished every bit of it. The food quality, the atmosphere, the staff, and the random interaction I had with customers around me were great. Oh yes, and by the way, I rarely drink alcohol, but when I do, I want top shelf, high end spirits. Their bar offers some of the more rarer finds for top shelf-for example, Woodford Reserve Whiskey.

We went with our friends tonight to JPeters Bar and Grill and had a wonderful time! The Salad with the House Dressing and Prime Rib with fries was delicious and our Server Austin with his geat personality did an outstanding job of taking care of our Party! We have ate here several times before and have never been disappointed. We highly recommend this place to all of our friends. Thank You JPeters for being such a great place! 👌

J Peters was created by Jonathan P. Angell and his culinary team crafting quality dining in 8 franchise locations in the South. This location features two tier, deck and bar seating right on the picturesque, panoramic view of the Murrells Inlet Marshwalk. A relaxed, comfortable setting with padded booths and chairs in an upscale decor. Extensive menu and Early Bird specials got you perusing soups, sides and salads, sandwiches and burgers, steaks, ribs and prime rib and seafood, chicken and pasta. Full service bar has a line of signature drinks, tap beer and wine. Once seated we got our drinks and an order of their honey-butter croissants, that came freshly baked and sweetened with honey-butter drizzle. Our entree was the Shrimp and Flounder Platter with the house salad and cheese mashed potatoes. House salad was chopped Iceberg lettuce topped with bacon crumbles, diced egg and tomato with a side of house made hot bacon and creamy honey mustard dressings. Shrimp was ordered grilled and came nicely seasoned with a buttery flare. Flounder comes only fried and even though that is not our preference, a good portion of breaded flounder was flavorful, flakey and filling. A side of tarter and cocktail sauce comes with it. Our side of Cheese Mashed Potatoes was a chunkier, homestyle mashed potatoes simply topped with cheese melted over it. Portions were ample as it fed two of us with competitive pricing to similar establishments. Service was acceptable and friendly, meeting our needs in a timely manner.

Dinner with two neighbor ladies was lovely. She-crab soup was average, however both ladies loved their J Peter's chicken with broccoli. My turkey club was delicious. The place was not packed but still way too noisy for comfortable conversations.

Good food, the collard greens are the best I have ever had! Usually a bit of a wait to be seated but just expect that and take a walk along the Marshwalk while you wait.

The experience was absolutely incredible! The food, ambiance, and service were all exceptional, earning a well-deserved 5-star rating. You guys truly know how to impress, and if I ever find myself back in Garden City, I will definitely make it a point to visit your restaurant again. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the lady who went above and beyond by sending us home with a delightful treat. You made my day, and my daughters were overjoyed. Thank you so much!
