This place was recommended to us and we are thrilled to have found it. Great food, super staff with owners Rick and Mimi. We had delicious meals each time we have visited from their varieties of burgers, sandwiches, daily specials (like Rick’s Scallops) and great desserts, although we are usually too full to have any. Well worth the time to look up, stop in and have a bite. We will be there again soon!

I love this place. Every year I come in for the food. Love anything seafood, the deep fried baked potato is my favorite. And the homemade desserts are the bomb.

We recently moved to the Surfside Beach area and this restaurant came highly recommended. Do not let the outside fool you........it is a small family-owned restaurant that could easily get over-looked; HOWEVER, it is definitely worth checking out. The food is AMAZING! Everything is made to order and the desserts are homemade every morning. The owner personally comes to you table to check on the quality of the food. I had the hamburger steak with sauteed mushrooms and onions, my husband had the ribeye, and my daughter had the chicken a'la Rick--ALL were DELICIOUS! To top the meal off, we enjoyed the creamy Chocolate Cherry Cheesecake (INCREDIBLE!). This may be our new favorite place.
One of my favorite restaurants. With Rick in the Kichen and Mimi whipping up awesome deserts (raspberry cheesecake is my favorite) this is a combination not to be beat. You have to try Rick's crab cakes - they are the best I have ever had. I love this place!!!
I grew up on the Jersey Shore and have been eating seafood all my life.The grouper may have been the best piece of fish I have ever had. The seasoning was perfect. I live in town and this restaurant will be on the top of my list.

Best food in town. We found it by accident and we never miss an opportunity to eat there. We have a place in Myrtle Beach and we always take the drive. You won't regret it. Food cooked to order, it's fresh and the hospitality is superb! This is the best kept secret in SC. AND don't forget the carrot cake.......it will keep you coming back for more.
Best food we had the 3 days we wrnt out to eat. Small eating but worth the wait. Crab Cake, Chicken Fingers, Hamburger Steak and baked potato were the hit. Homemade desserts were amazing. Key lime pie and Carrot Cake were fabulous. The staff is so friendly and welcoming.
The service is great. Very sweet family owned great restaurant! Our favorites are their fresh hand pattied thick hamburgers and the fried dill pickle spears with the cucumber wasabi ranch dip!!! Yum 😋. We found this local spot last year, April 2017 by chance and are definitely gonna be returning with every visit to the beach. Great job guys 👍
Every time im in Myrtle Beach i stop in. Ribeye steak cooked to perfection. Baked potatoe were excellent. Also homemade deserts are outstanding.

Fantastic place to eat. The quality of everything I have had to eat there is the tops. The crabcakes sandwiches, the hamburgers, the shrimp dinners.......everything is great. Love the family atmosphere, reasonable prices and homemade desserts. Great friendly service. Just can't say enough about how good it is.

Atmosphere is great with tons of funny sayings. Owners are huge Pittsburgh Steelers fans so lots of memorabilia on the walls. We bring our Eagles football flair with us and the owners are always amused. We banter back & forth. All good fun 😊

Unfortunately for us they're not open 7 days a week. I believe they shut down for a period of time in the winter so they can relax & enjoy their family outside of working.

Very accommodating and nice staff make for a pleasurable experience. The food is good and the ambiance is fun. There are plenty of selections to fix your hunger, not to mention a handful of dessert offerings.
If you’re not a Pittsburgh Steelers fan, you might not want to look at all the wall hangings, but there are others that are quite entertaining and educational.
Prepare yourself. The desert is the best desert I’ve ever eaten. Coconut cream pie, berry cheesecake, carrot cake…. Owner bakes these at home. Unbelievable. No exaggeration. Best I’ve ever eaten.
Also had the seafood platter and ribeye entrees. Crab cake, shrimp, grouper, fries, baked potato, green beans. All delicious.
This is clearly where locals come. Everyone greeted everyone. Staff knows everyone. We were spotted as newbies and were treated like royalty. Owners and staff are SUPER good people. Fun, festive environment.

After reading the reviews we decided to try this little grill! You won’t be disappointed if you try it. Prime rib was on special and was impeccably prepared and very flavorful with an jus and horseradish cream! Served with a yummy salt baked potato with lots of butter and sour cream. Shrimp were fresh tasting and jumbo! Would have maybe liked an ear of corn instead of the green beans since it is summer! Coconut cream pie if you have room for dessert! All house made! Owner is very interactive with his guests. Decor is all Pittsburgh and sports memorabilia! A bit of the Burgh at the beach he says! BYOB! Try is! No reservations and seating is limited but worth it!

My wife, 2 kids and I went there for dinner while on vacation. The food was great, as was all the staff. I had the Pittsburger, wife/son had shrimp quesadilla, other son had plain burger. Everything tasted great and we’re so glad we found them.
They got the best cheese cake I’ve ever had! Besides everything else is great too. Cozy little place to eat some great food!
Southside grill is a little piece of heaven! The food, staff, environment of this establishment is unbelievable! I had the ribeye..can you say perfection! Husband had crab cakes, couldn't say enough good about them, others in party had grouper topped with crab meat and wants to go back tonight for more!! This is a MUST go to!

Great food ! Came with friends and our son. We enjoyed excellent grouper, delicious fried pickles and desserts. Great family atmosphere- Rick the owner came by and made sure our meals were great and we felt at home. Lot of locals who shared their favorites and encouraged us to try many of their favorites. The baked potatoes are a must have! We will return for sure-

Ate here with my parents and as soon as walk in you are in Burgh heaven (Pittsburgh) Very homestyle family run feel. Very good customer service, large and tasty portions (especially the burger) at a very reasonable price. We will be coming back again for sure.
First time back in many years. Have really missed Rick's sense of humor, AND MIMI! And, oh my, Mimi makes the Most Delicious Desserts!!! I have allergies making my choices a challenge. The food and service were outstanding making it one of the most enjoyable dinners out in a long time. We look forward to going back!!!

Be sure to go early ,otherwise they fill up fast. It's byob. Grilled fish and they accommodate my salt sensitivity .Great staff , servers and cook .Be sure not to block the TV, if the owner is watching hockey ....

I can’t share enough about this place! Not only was it the best food we had in a week long vacation to MB but, the service was impeccable. If you want a down-to-earth place where the owner comes out and drinks a beer with you and asks you about your life, this is the place. They were considerate, had amazing taste to all of their food, from their grouper to their pork tenderloin, and has a friendly atmosphere. BYOB! What more could you want!
