It's a nice throwback to family diner days. Clean, simple menu, friendly service, reasonable prices, and good food. We liked the vintage-style Muskegon murals that decorated the front dining room where we ate.
If you're in a hurry, this may not be your place. Our salads came out 20 minutes after ordering and our entrees came out 10 minutes after that. Bill came 10 minutes after we were finished eating. To be fair, our waitress had a lot of tables to cover.
Stopped in on our way home from a school trip. Very impressed! This restaurant is so clean! We were greeted as soon as we entered. 3 of us ate and all had different things and everything was hot, fresh, and so good! The butternut squash, Mac and cheese and fried chicken was so good. Seasoned to perfection. Our waitress Staci was the best. So attentive and friendly. If we ever get back to that side of the state we would definitely ask for her. She knows her job and she does it well!
a local classic. fond memories of walking to Russ' with my Papa as a child and getting to sit at the "cool bar" while enjoying hot chocolate (with the whipped cream of course). Although I was sad to say goodbye to the phones in the tel n dine, am grateful I was able to share that with my own child as was always another fun and familiar childhood memory. Never have been disappointed with the food, especially love soup, salad, potato bar option. We both went for something new and had two speciality burgers (grilled cheese burger and mozzarella crunch burger) and split them, both were delicious. Great service also from Valerie.
This place is pretty ok there breakfast is pretty good I would recommend the ham cheese omelette but dinner on the other hand wasn't that great I had the chicken with there home made mace and cheese and there sweet potato fries the chicken was weird taste the home made Mac and cheese wasn't good but the sweet potato fries where really good and the service was pretty good as well and there inter was classic it felt like I was in the 80's but there to parts of the restaurant that can't be access by guests so you have to go back out side and go to the other door but other that this place is really good I recommend going for breakfast
Had the soup and salad bar. Soup (chicken and rice) was delicious. Salad bar was also delicious. There could have been more items to choose from but offerings were very fresh. Too bad they closed the two restaurants in kalamazoo.
We came in to have a nice sit down dinner with our daughter home from college. We were immediately greeted when we entered by a very nice young lady named K'yanna. I appreciated how she carried herself and smiled along the way to our table and also chatted with our daughter and made her feel welcome (they seem close in age)Valerie was our waitress and made the experience a very good one. She was friendly and attentive and offered the perfect amount of helpful information about menu items to suit our needs and requests. Our dinner took a little longer to cook as my husband ordered the fried chicken so we respected the wait. Our appetizer, the sampler platter, came out within 5-7 minutes though and was quite tasty! I had the fish basket. Wasn't a huge fan of the tilapia they used. The batter was quite doughy. I chose not to mention that at the location, understandably just not for me as others in the restaurant ordered it and I over heard many stating the loved it. My daughter had a cup of soup and enjoyed! Prices are very reasonable and the staff here are great! Coke products tasted great and every thing looked very clean around us. Will try again with other menu options.
I had an olive burger and Strawberry shake with my son.
Great family dinner option!
*I also stop in there for breakfast 3-4 times a month.*
Absolutely perfect food all the way..😁
Had the perch dinner and 2 sides. Coleslaw was moist sweet delicious crunch and the Squash was sweet treat.
The western burger was amazing perfectly cooked to order. Absolutely the best sweet potato fries I've enjoyed in a long time..
I got the fried pickles which are rlly good, better than red Robin's. The new peppermint stick ice cream pie is rlly good, great idea. Burgers are rlly good, even tho I don't think they know what medium rare, well, etc. mean. And as always great service
A Muskegon restaurant that’s been here for a long time. Had corned beef hash and eggs that were great! The GF bread is made in house and is very unique! It’s pictured with my hash. The sausage gravy is definitely home made, a must try! They also make breads and pies you can take home. Everything is clean. The servers a great! Mine was Lori, she was great! Sits across from the Dodge dealership, between Arby’s and Walmart. Large parking lot! Go eat there!!
