We had a really good first experience at Friendly’s! I ordered the clam strips and upgraded the slaw to the Mac n cheese, and my husband had the pastrami/reuben melt. Everything was great, but the Mac n cheese seemed a little bit too plain for my taste. Now the desserts, they were FANTASTIC! I definitely did not regret the brownie I ordered and ate the entire thing by myself, regardless of the fact that it’s big enough for two! Hands down would eat here again!

Butter crunch ice cream, absolute YUM! I wanted ice cream with my berry stuff waffle (it's vacation! Why not?!) Our wonderful waitress suggested it, and it was amazing! My nephew wanted a hot dog, he ate it. His bread was yummy and toasted well and he actually ate some of the bread(he normally doesn't, weird I know... But he's 6. Lol) I think he has fries, probably. Yes, and he said those were really good. Husband had corn beef hash with potatoes and marble rye toast. The kids menu is really cool. Oh and the mango tea was delicious! There was a guy there in the vestibule of the restaurant selling tickets to attractions.

What a difference a location makes. This Friendly's even short staffed was a good dining experience. It was busy ,but we were still waited on in a timely manner. Didn't order anything special just one of there dinner plates. And it was good. What I liked most was the old fashioned ice cream, soda fountain counter they had. Gave it a little retro feel.

The food is 4 star, I enjoyed the fish and chips. Fish portions were enough, and delicious, slaw was just ok. My wife had the grilled chicken wrap, she loved it. She also loved the mint chocolate chip ice cream. I wasn't crazy about the thin cut fries, I would have preferred thicker cut. Atmosphere was really good, and clean. Caitlyn gave great, and timely service with a smile and good attitude. Thanks.

Live in upstate SC, but grew up where friendlys was established in MA. They closed down all the locations up there Year’s ago and only sell ice cream in New England stores. We were super psyched to see this location while on our babymoon! I got the bbq supermelt, it was delicious as usual, however the quality of the fries have gone to trash! I’d upgrade to waffle and see if those are better maybe and That’s why they charge for them now? We shared one of the sundaes and I felt the ice cream servings were kinda skimpy under all the whip cream vs back in the day for the prices now but still satisfied our sweet tooth! It’s a nostalgic place for me, so my opinion is a bit biased I think but worth a visit for a little bit of that old school family soda pop diner experience.

Edit 7/31/2023.... update, one year later... We came back since we still love (and miss) Friendly's. We had Jamie again and she is still a wonderful server. We had the same experience as last year, which is great! Original review- Jamie was a wonderful server and the food was excellent! We are in town visiting, and we no longer have Friendly's back home. The food here reminded us very much of how Friendly's used to be from our past and brought back many happy memories! Thank you for the great time and we look forward to visiting again.

The food was so fast and took about 10 mins to get served to the table. The food is also very good (love the fries)!

I love Friendly's, we grew up going to Friendly's for years, especially for the ice cream. The service was good. My menu had stickers on a lot of menu items. My friends menu didn't, so she was ordering things that were no longer available. Everything else was great and ice cream was delicious. I'll be back.

Food was good but the winner was the ice cream! Plenty of choices and cheaper then other places that serve ice cream at the beach. Our waitress was more worried about getting off then paying attention to what we were ordering so she got it wrong. The food was a lil higher then it shoulda been but the ice cream made up for it lol.

We came in a Sunday morning for breakfast. It was busy. We waited about 30 minutes for a table. We reviewed the menu while we were waiting. We ordered food when at the same time as giving drink order. Food still took about an hour to come out. The service was great. Our server was Toniann. The food was delicious. If you're not in a hurry this is a great place to stop for breakfast, lunch, dinner or ice cream.

I'm from Cincinnati Ohio and when I was a little girl my grandmother would take me to friendly's and we get the watermelon loaf well. I went there and I had a burger and waffle fries and an appetizer and it was really good. I enjoyed the food. The service was good. The place it's old so I understand they had a dehumidifier trying to suck up some of the moisture so it had a little bit of a smell. But other than that the services was great. The food was good. I didn't get any ice cream. I was stuffed after an appetizer in half of my burger. It was very tasty 😊

It's Friendly's! A blast from the past and one of 119 in the country. Yes, the burgers are a guilty pleasure and be sure to leave room for dessert. There's always a crying child just for ambiance, but hey. My first date with my wife of 37 years was at Friendly's, so I may be biased! Hope they stay around a long time. Very family friendly place. It's in the name

So absolutely wonderful. The food is great. And the ice cream concoctions are amazing. We all had something different, and the only complaint was that there was too much turkey on the club. Lol. Everyone was very friendly.

In Myrtle Beach for a short weekend visit. We were so glad to see a friendlys is still around. We miss them in VA. Everything was wonderful. The host was very pleasant. Our server was wonderful. We had a few appetizers and ice cream. Neither disappointed us. Bacon cheese waffle fries were awesome. My wife says the cheese sticks were the best she had in a long time. Due to the fact most places over cook them and you lose most of your cheese. But not here. They were perfectly cooked. The ice cream was a perfect ending to a great day on the beach.

There weren’t many people yet when we sat down and ordered. Our waitress was nice and took our orders quickly. We had my toddler with us, and he caused a bit of a scene, so the waitress brought his plate out first which I’m really thankful for. The kids plates are huge. I ordered the cheesy omelette for my son and my daughter ordered the sand dollar pancakes. My son got a giant omelette covered in gooey cheese with two pieces of crispy bacon and four pieces of buttered toast. My daughter got about 10 small “sand dollar” pancakes, and a bunch of bacon. She’s 11 and couldn’t finish the plate. My mom and husband got some kind of BTLs with potatoes and they both said it was really good. I got a very berry Belgian waffle. It was huge with tons of blueberries, bananas, and strawberries on it. And a big swirl of whipped cream. Food and service were great.

Haven't been to this place in over 10 years (thanks to them closing in ohio). Lo and behold, we find a Friendly's in Myrtle! The food was just as great as it was back in the day. I got a turkey club supermelt, and a small sundae. We will cone back every year if we can!

Servers were fantastic and both attentive and friendly. Omelet was fine, but the pancakes were fantastic. Only flaw for me was the potato to onions/peppers ratio was too heavy on the peppers side.
