After I ate garbage burger on the other day at 'Good Time Charley's', I told myself I am never going to dine out at Broadway. Maybe cookies at Insomnia, but that's it. However, after the Zero Gravity Circus, our family had to eat dinner. We went to Yamato, the japanese steak house, but they told us that waiting time is about an hour. So, I let my 3rd grade son choose between 'Fat Tuesday' or 'Roosters'. He picked Roosters.
This Rooster restored my faith in restaurant in Broadway. Server Kimberly was really nice. She is the type of server who make customers come back. We started with calamari and it was finger licking good! Both body and leg part of squids were good! I am a meat eater, but this dinner somehow I felt like ordering salad as side dish and omg it was to die for with honey mustard dressing. My wife said that her grilled salmon was really yummy as well. Those two mini burgers on kids menu were white castle burger size which my son liked. It looked like owner lady also cooks at the kitchen. From now on, most likely I am only going to eat at Roosters.
We are visiting from out of town and were looking for a place we hadnt heard of before. It was about 2pm and because it was off season, we were the only ones there. We were a party of 8 and had our choice of tables. We started with the cauliflower bites which were really great. We also got the artichoke spinach dip which looked to be made in house, and still had creamy chunks of cream cheese. The chips were a little stale tho.
My friend got the shark bite drink which, to us, tasted a little watered down. The menu doesn't show the price, but it was $28 and HUGE!! It was very very tasty tho! I got a glass of wine and it was filled almost to the top, which was a nice surprise.
For lunch we ordered the tahini pita which was a little spicy for the 10 yo, but I liked it well enough. The chicken was very dry tho, which I didn't like. My friend got the fish and chips and she enjoyed it very much. Their tarter sauce is SO good! My mother in law ordered the lettuce wraps and she said it was good, but did add some of the tarter sauce on it and really elevated the flavor!! My husband got the rodeo burger and said it was really tasty.
The two little ones, 5 and 3, had speghetti and meatballs and the other a grilled cheese. He was in love with the "grill marks" on the grilled cheese. Huge portion of speghetti for a kids size, but he enjoyed the meatballs. I did ask for extra sauce, just because it didn't seem to have enough . The use steak fries which everyone enjoyed!!
They do add gratuity on for large parties. I don't recall seeing that but it was probably somewhere and usually it's standard. It was nice being the only table and we had quick and friendly service. Over all, a good dining experience. Nothing overly spectacular, but their food plating was really neat and perhaps we will try it again if we are in the area.
Restaurant at Broadway at the Beach so it's a given that it's a tourist trap. That said, the food was flavorful and portions were adequate. My barbecue chicken flatbread pizza was sampled by everyone and got a thumbs up. Two grilled chicken sandwiches with fries at my table. Chicken was a little skinny but fries were awesome!! Service was quick and friendly.
The food was delicious! But services was extremely slow. I don’t know if they were short staffed or what. I had the raspberry martini it was good! I order a second and didn’t get it until after all 12 of us had ate and they were ready to go… that annoyed me a bit but otherwise it was a good place
Great meal, my burger was really juicy and the tater tots very crisp. The appetizer of corn on the cob was a lot of fun, without being so overwhelming that you have no room for your meal. Service was very friendly. I liked that the indoor seating has open windows to the outside where you can see people passing by. There is outdoor seating as well.
This is a great family type place to eat, the food was great as well as the service. There was no waiting time and we were seated very fast and the food came out very quickly. Great place and we will visit again next summer while on vacation.
I went to Roosters this past weekend, I had the crab cake trio which was so delicious. Each cake had so much lump crab meat in it, the flavor was bursting in my mouth. The trio had mashed potatoes that were real creamy and good but I also ventured with a side of grits & creole sauce that was unbelievable. Now I can't wait to try their Shrimp & Grits....I'll be back soon!!
We went there for brunch on Sunday and we were the first ones. This is located at a accessible place. I liked the sub but calagiri fish fries were very dry didn't like them much. Swarma and falafel was good. But falafel was over roasted so it gave a bitter flavour on the crust
Not too bad. A little pricey but average for the Boardwalk. The wings were not too bad, a little over cooked. The rub was ok. The chicken tacos where excellent. Very good flavor and recommend.
Me and the wife absolutely love everything about this place. Even the mixed drinks was amazing.
