Looked for a restaurant around the area and Basnight had a short wait. Once we arrived, the restaurant was neatly decorated and clean. we were able to seat once are full party arrived.
Alison was our waitress and was brilliant. She took care of every request and attentive throughout our entire dinner. All appetizers and entrees came out timely. Everything was cooked to the right temperature. I had the prime rib, which was perfect.
Would definitely recommend and we will be back to try more entrees.
This was my wife and my first visit and it won't be our last. The food was delicious and our server was top notch! I enjoyed the Wanchese clam chowder. I had the Jamaica jerk sword fish. Th he collard greens were perfectly cooked. We had great seats overlooking the sound. I recommend you give this place a try if you are on the OBX!!
Seafood is excellent. We didn't have to wait on Saturday evening and got seated immediately. There was live music at the bar area. Kalamari was very small and the chicken sandwich was not very appetizing but the bluefish was delish and the quantity was great. Sweet potato fluff was out of this world.

The food was phenomenal. We attended a wedding tasting and the food did not disappoint. The mac and cheese was other worldly. The service was high caliber and the view of the sound is absolutely therapeutic. Needless to say we absolutely booked them for our event.
This catering company has it all! Not only will they travel to the 4x4 area, they were professional, proficient, and so easy to work with. (And I have been an event coordinator for a restaurant, so I know the other side)
Their food was not only beautifully plated but delicious! Count on them and book early for your next event!
Great find! Haven’t noticed this restaurant in all our trips to OBX. Food and service was excellent. My husband got the beer battered flounder and loved it. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich it was huge and very tasty! Our waiter, Jeff, was very knowledgeable about the menu and was very attentive. Beautiful water view. Great place if you large groups. Tons of room.
Everything we tried was divine: pomegranate martini was plentiful, bacon wrapped scallops in pepper jelly, swordfish, fresh flounder. Staff is friendly and helpful. I can find nothing negative about our experience.

Perfect restaurant for large groups! We were able to be seated without waiting for a group of 10 people. The wings appetizer was the best I've ever had! I ordered the blackened tilefish as my entrée and it was delicious! There was a bit of a wait for the food to come out, but that's understandable with a large group. Still would highly recommend! Forgot to get a picture of the food, but there was an osprey nest right outside the window which was awesome!
My family and I dined here on our annual trip to the Outer Banks on the recommendation of my uncle who had visited before. We were not disappointed! The restaurant and views were beautiful, we were seated quickly and had plenty of space, and the service was superb. I had my young children with me, and our server was very kind and patient with them. The food was delicious and super fresh; I had the red drum and it was amazing! We will definitely be returning!

We had our rehearsal on-site and the team catered food / bar tended at Jennette's Pier for our wedding. Food was great food and service was amazing. No stress. They took care of everything and even made our random requests a reality.
Basnight's has always been a Sinkez family favorite. In the two years I've dated my husband, we've visit Basnights for special occasions, holidays or whenever we wanted to treat ourselves.
They also sent us a Christmas card this year thanking us for using them as our wedding caterer.
A very nice restaurant by the waterfront. Gigantic inside. With its own vegetable garden on site.

Been coming for years and just discovered this awesome restaurant! Great service,very hospitable and very clean. Kid friendly. View was fantastic. Had the scallops wrapped in bacon for appetizer-Outstanding! We also had the prime rib that came with mashed potatoes and a delightful mixed winter vegetable of squash,carrots and root veggies. The shrimp and grits was so large and tasty that my husband couldn’t finish(he eats everything! Best sweet tea! Server Maggie was attentive,sweet and made our dinner very enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back and we recommend this place. Of course it’s off season but was just wonderful
It had been a long time since I had stopped here to eat. But I must say that the food was great and our waitress was wonderful. We always eat early because I don't like crowds. So it was peaceful and the table we had sitting over the sound made for beautiful views. Would definitely recommend anyone to come in and eat!

Food was delicious, and service was excellent. I'm rating the restaurant a 4 because the room was very cold (it was cold outside and very windy) and even though there was only one other couple in the dining area we were seated back to back. The other couple was meeting with the caterer for their wedding and they were very loud. Needless to say the atmosphere was lacking because we couldn't talk and we were so cold we ate quickly so our food would still be warm. I'll give them another chance only because the food was very good and our server was great.
