Calamari was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. Blackened Tuna with pesto was terrific, the mashed potatoes were great, and steamed veggies were fresh and also delicious. Shrimp and grits were also good, could have used a tad more seasoning in the grits. Overall a great dining experience!

There were 6 of us and everyone was very happy with their meal. Chloe took good care of us. We ended up very happy that our first choice for dinner was closed and we ended up here instead.
Visited with party of 6, ordering appetizers, meals and drinks. Spinach salad was wonderful! Calamari was delicious! Fish and chips- fish was very good- moist and tender. Fries, not so good. Clam chowder was good, just different since it wasn't the cream base I'm used to. Chicken strips and fries weren't all that good. Chicken was overcooked, burnt in places, very dry. Fries, again, not so good. Had to ask for refills, and took a while to get them.
I would go back, just avoiding fries and chicken!
I really enjoyed the Apple Chop, cooked perfectly, and served with mash potatoes and veggies. Try this dish, you will thank me.
Food was excellent but the service leaves something to be desired. The server did not introduce herself, while on top of bringing things out, her customer interaction skills left something to be desired. The calamari came with a sauce that was amazing. The hand cut french fries were awesome. My wife got the barrel dip and it was excellent. Overall a great hangout spot.

Tea and Tori are seriously the most sunny, professional, fun ladies! They made my day after going to multiple establishments, leaving our group feeling, very welcome and important. Everyone was treated with class and grace. Thank you for turning our silly night into something to remember! We will b back!
The food was great. Try the shrimp queso dip, I know shrimp and cheese doesn't sound the best, but let me tell you it was delicious. We mostly got apps and drinks and enjoyed them both. The server was friendly, but the hostess didn't seem very inviting. Overall I would definitely go back. Give them a try!
Great dining experience for a quick and perfect Saturday lunch! 4 of us and 3 grabbed blue burgers and 1 had the blackened Mahi salad. All were fast and delicious! Our server was super attentive and met our every expectation. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone and would definitely return.
I stayed down the street from Red Drum on vacation and we ordered dinner here the first night. It was the best burger and fries I ever had!! We ended up ordering here multiple times during the week and it was always so delicious. I want to go back down to Nags Head for vacation just so I can get another juicy burger with a crispy bun and perfectly seasoned fries! I will be dreaming of this place until then. I don’t normally post reviews but I had to let the people know!
Another great visit at the Red Drum! Enjoyed the Blackened Mahi topped with Lump Crabmeat, it was super! We will be back!!

We were a large party of 14 seated immediately. Tea was our server, and we have rarely come across a better server in our home state or along our travels. She was friendly, pleasant, and very knowledgeable about the full menu. She was helpful with our daughter's food allergies. The food was exceptional, the order 100% accurate, and everyone left very happy. Thank you so much!
Wow. We just arrived on vacation, escaping the daily toil of the endless need for government services in the Washington D.C. area. Tired of the work, work, work, we took off this morning after making quick and lucky reservations. We drove non stop, 4.5 hours, with, you guessed it, two very spoiled children. Sassy and Mellow. Yes, our cats.
Our day ended by randomly looking for somewhere to eat, without any research. We saw the Red Drum Taphouse and I knew, for me, this would work.
Not only was my steamed shrimp amazing, so were the two young ladies that were preparing, serving, bartending, and cooking. Reena and "sounds like" Yayna, were so fun. Were back out our hotel on the beach, and could not be happier. Thanks Ladies for making our road trip a happy ending.

Food was really good & prices moderate to high. Fried seafood platter was delicious but $30ish or more each. Waitress didn't service table like I thought she might & only asked my boo if he needed anything what couple of times she did come to table. Parking was fairly easy, location convenient, probably won't eat here again though but I might bc the fried oysters were some of the best I've ever eaten!!

Four of us arrived for dinner on a Sunday night after a long ride. Beer selection washington very good and the bartender was paying attention to the questions from one of your party. Our waitress was attentive although I could tell that our requests for extra sauces was getting to her.
I had the large greek salad with blackened tuna. the tuna was done perfectly and was spicy. One of our party had a spinach salad with fried oysters. He said they were the best he has had.
Music selection was good, however the general noise in the dining area was a little higher than we would have preferred.
We sampled the hatteras clam chowder and thought it was good, although it probably be paired with a crusty french roll.
It would be good to run through the definition of rare, medium rare, and medium when ordering tuna. Mine was cooked to a perfect rare level, but one person in my party got medium and was a bit disappointed that their tuna was a bit dry.
Overall I thought the service and food was very good.
My family and I really enjoyed the food here when we visited in the summer. Our food was brought out so fast, it was hot and delicious. Best tuna sandwich I have ever had, perfectly cooked and still juicy. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Highley recommend!
