I usually don't like ribs but the ribs from Sooey's ribs were actually delicious! They had a lot of flavor and were very tasty. I really enjoyed the pulled pork and bbq sauce. The hushpuppies and mashed potatoes were also incredibly good. Definitely recommend!
This was my first time having southern barbecue and it did not disappoint! The food was great and server was kind and patient! I’d totally recommend getting hush puppies to anyone going.

We didn’t stop at Pierce’s on the way down to the Outer Banks (quite frankly I haven’t been a fan of theirs in a while). It was getting late and we didn’t want to cook so we found Sooey’s up the road.

This was another stop we made while me and my daughter was on vacation and oh my goodness the portions are huge, well worth the price. Everyone that work there was super friendly joke and laughing. It was a great atmosphere to be in while eating.

Great little hidden treasure! Indoor and outdoor seating options. Can also take out. We had meat trio, mahi mahi and funnel fries. All was fabulous! Waiter was attentive. Atmosphere was laid back and welcoming. Will go back when we come into town.
Five stars across the board!! We just drove in from Durham and were tired/hungry/struggling to find a place to eat. We found great service and amazing food at Sooeys! Reasonably priced too. BBQ was yummy! Waitresses was not the best and seemed distracted but the food made up for that! Price was a little high for what you get but the taste was worth it. There sauce was AMAZING!
