The menu provided many choices. Service was very responsive and they provided suggestions for drinks, soup and salads, and main meals. Dessert also included suggestions. We were seated outside which was our choice (indoors was also available). Our server was very helpful providing advice on the menu.

Consistently good, plate after plate- all year long. This kitchen is attentive to the local season and yet still maintains that Classic French theme. One of the BEST kitchens, AND waitstaffs in Napa. Especially for pairing with wine! From lunch on the patio to something more special, you will be taken care of here :)

Not only was the food delicious and beautifully presentated especially the beet salad, but the server "Dan" was absolutely incredible you must ask for him. Incredibly knowledgeable, no-nonsense personality and full of stories to engage you as well as the food. They say that most people have a dining experience but I believe Dan was an amazing experience, he made dining there very memorable and made me want to go back again very soon!!Honestly though, I felt like I was in Paris

It was my first time there but will. It be my last. Petrole Sole was the best I ever had. Salads were except as was our server Francisco. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

What a lovely place this is. We have spent many Easters here, most in their wonderful patio. This one was rainy so we sat inside but it wasn't any less lovely. The ambiance is truly French and the food is so yummy.

A great evening! A group of friends, lots of yummy appetizers, amazing entrees, cocktails, wine and even dessert. Service was outstanding too! What a sweet, cozy bistro on a cold night. <3 (and yes, they do an outstanding job accommodating vegans!)

The food and service at Angele was excellent. It also offers a great view. The wine list wasn't too bad either. 👍

One of our Napa favorites, we have had many lunch, dinners, groups and bar appetizers. The staff is always warm and professional and the food always is amazing. We love the private room for special occasions, we had an amazing birthday party there. Thank you Team Angele!

If you can, sit outside! The view was great but the food was even better. Everything was cooked to perfection and the sides were the perfect complement to the main course (get the carrots!).

What fabulous service and outstanding cocktails and food. I am a bourbon gal usually and a classic Manhattan is my go-to, so I tried the Coffee and Cigarettes cocktail - perfect! It was a bit chilly, but the outside patio was still plenty warm and a lovely place to sit!

OH, ANGELEEEE, I love thee. I cannot recommend this place more. From its intimate dining atmosphere and delicious dishes to friendly and helpful wait staff, we had an incredible experience. We were late to the game in making a reservation ahead of time so we got bar seating, but it certainly didn’t take away from the dining experience. The cocktails were excellent and our server was knowledgeable about the wines. I loved the crispy artichoke hearts and definitely recommend. The summer corn soup wasn’t my favorite but my partner loved it and said “it was the best thing he’s eaten in a long time.” The striped bass and the clams were very flavorful and I could have eaten it three times a day. Love, Will definitely be back. ILYSM.

First time here. The vibes were chill, relaxed, and mellow, and we had a great time here! Our table was next to the river and we enjoyed the views! Services were friendly. I had THE BEST truffle fries ever in my life because the truffle was so fresh, smelled excellent, and authentic!

The overall atmosphere and service were really good! Just a heads up, although we came on a Monday evening, you still need to call ahead to make reservations since it was fairly crowded. We had the French onion soup and fried artichoke hearts for starters, and they were AMAZING!!! Our dinner course included the Duck Confit and Porkchop, and we had some signature cocktails... Although we didn't care for the coffee and cigar cocktail, our waiter was able to substitute it for an old-fashioned instead. 👍🏾👍🏾 We were too full to have dessert, so we'll just have to come again to try it out! It was overall a very nice, romantic dining experience overlooking the Napa River.

Great location in the old Napa River riverfront. I love French cuisine so when I saw escargot and French onion soup on the menu, I had to try. Napa is wine country, but what paired best with our light dinner from Angele was a nice cold Kronenbourg lager! To be fair, we had lunch on the Napa Wine train and were still half full. Therefore, we mostly ordered from the starters menu. Most of the dishes were salty, especially the escargot (with pastry puffs) and the onion soup. The cold beer washed them down well. The pate board was more delicate and the salad was refreshing. The French bread was excellent. I wish we had more room to taste and try more entrées. Maybe next time. I loved the outdoor gazebo/patio, that had fly screens (full protection) on 3 of the 4 sides. It was a beautiful outdoor space. They allow dogs. The service was ok, but I wish the service team would come by more often and see that we had dishes and plates to clear from our table. Again, in fairness, i hope to come back and try the other dishes and entrées. With our limited appetite, there's nothing we would reorder again, but we'll be sure to bring our appetites next time.

For a place on Napa downtown, this place is surprisingly good and should be rated higher. Good: - Service here is amazingly fast! So nice and makes it easy when you’re super hungry like us at 9:30 pm - Loved the appetizers, especially the corn soup (cold and sweet) and Burrata with the super tasty bread. The tartare was good too - The tagliatelle was so good and the way it merged cheesy and tangy flavor was amazing and portion sizes were good - Good free butter and bread Bad: - Can be more on the expensive side - A bit dim inside but still a good ambiance for catch-ups Overall really pleased with our experience here after a day of drinking.

9/10 food It’s so beautiful that the food presentation makes you hesitate to devour it. But when you do the food is equally as flavorful as it’s presented. 10/10 Service The wait staff refilled and asked us regularly if they could help us in anyway. 10/10 or mixed depending The indoors dining is definitely beautiful. The outdoors is a mixed bag. More food stuff @vin.foodjournal

Nice atmosphere! Pleasant and didn’t feel rushed. I had the potato leek soup and the roasted chicken salad. The house rosé was a perfect compliment on a warm fall day. Yum!

Solid. Food was good. This place is a Napa staple, so highly recommended at least once. Mac and cheese was incredible.

Superb French food. Highly attentive and thoughtful staff. Had informed helpful suggestions for excellent lesser known local wines. Accommodated one diner with chef preparing off menu items at their suggestion cheerfully and without being asked. Food was great and the ambiance soothing and relaxed and lively at bar where many diners chose to have their meal even when it wasn’t crowded at tables. Right by the water. Nice place for dinner.

The Fink. A place where your attendance should be directed. A new experience in town that you won’t forget. A great venue for listening to live music. I always feel welcome at “The Fink”.

Service was exceptional. Food was supremely flavorful (corn soup was divine, Mac/cheese was indulgent; fish was delicious) and everything was presented beautifully.

Fresh oysters, muscles with truffle fries and escargot were delicious. The dipping sauce for the ouster is lemony. The break on top of the escargot, is light and crispy (like a toasted croissant). They offer bread to start but you can dip it with the muscle sauce for extra flavour :) the chicken pot pie was flavourful and a good portion.

Fantastic meals two nights in a row. Impeccable service from the lovely hostess to the servers and all the dining room staff and the food was just magnificent. The escargot, buratta and pate appetizers were great as were the veal chop and sweetbreads. Thanks for making our visit so special xoxoxo

Wanted to spotlight one of the DWDV fam’s favorite spots in Napa: Angele! My boo & I were craving dessert one night after a dinner elsewhere and saw they had my all time favorite dessert, bread pudding so we decided to try it. It was DELICIOUS. We went JUST for the bread pudding another time and we’re like, “We should probably try the rest of the menu” Since then, everything we’ve had has been outstanding. Let me give you a quick rundown: Wine List - DOPE! - Great selection of French & Californian gems. They also offer carafes & half bottles which are nice options to have. Food - Incredible - The best mussels and frites I’ve ever had. The salads are inspirational. The burger is everything you want and more. I mean, the food so good that even Pops tried the escargot and liked it! Ha. Seriously, this is one of those places where you feel free to take a risk because you know you will be rewarded with something beyond your expectations. Decor - The flowers are always on point. Mom always loved when restaurants had stunning flower displays so I appreciate the work that is put into that aspect. The vibe transports you to the French countryside which always gives me warm memories of our family time in Provence.. Service - Exceptional attention to detail whether you’re stopping in for bread pudding, a glass, or a meal. Bonus - They source from EXCELLENT producers like Tenbrink Farms & Vineyards

My mom and sisters and I had a fantastic dinner here. Our server, Oscar was attentive and spot on with his recommendations. The portions were large enough to comfortably share with another person. The food was perfectly seasoned, and the presentation was beautiful. We enjoyed sitting outside with very nice ambience. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the Napa area.

French restaurant and bar on the Main Street. Location is great and the view was beautiful overlooking the Napa riverfront. The service was excellent, tables were cleaned after each course. The prices were high, and the food was good. Fresh baguette and butter were served before the meal. We ordered: Lavender lemonade: ok. 4*LE MENU FORMULE DU JOUR which included 3-Course Menu Of The Day: salad, pasta, and dessert. 4*Salad: original blend of beets, onions and other vegetables. Light and refreshing. 5*Pasta: Al dente pasta with marinated beef. It was original and smoky flavor. Perfect dish! 3*Chocolate mousse: very rich, per normal. 4*ESCARGOT: cooked with garlic, parsley, and beurre blanc. Served with puff pastry. Very original and quite tasty. 3*SALT SPRING MUSSELS cooked with white wine, shallots, and thyme. Served with french fries. Mussels were tender, mild taste. The sauce was a bit oily. I think it’s better to serve with baguette. 4*CLASSIC CRÈME BROLÉE: ordinary but delicious.
