I had the weekend special of biscuits and gravy omelet of some sort, and let me tell you, it was absolutely life changing. I think about it almost anytime I crave eating out for breakfast! A delightful place for American food. A must for anyone passing through Napa.

Great diner, a nice piece of Americana. Terrific menu full of favorites. Something for everyone. The biscuits and gravy were terrific. Hash browns were perfect! The baked goods in the bakery section were terrific, had to get a few donuts to go. Great spot for breakfast or lunch.

Delicious Original Glazed Doughnut and Strong Black Coffee. Can get quite busy, but they're accommodating and sit you up at the counter. Nice place to meet locals and have a chat. This place seems like a local hangout for the young and old locals of Napa, nice food and friendly service.

Great diner and bakery. Usually busy but service is good and fast. The staff is very nice and work their tails off. Breakfast is very good. Hash browns are super crispy and eggs are cooked perfectly. Pancakes are enormous and the French toast amazing. You can also get your pastry or doughnut fix there too. Highly recommended!!

Superb! The donuts were excellent, and the pies & other pastries (tarts, etc.) looked scrumptious. It has an old school ambience and it was bustling, but due to the hustling staff and good inventory management, I was out of there pretty fast. Parking was also easy, partly thanks to the quick service. Would love to dine there for breakfast sometime (just got a glimpse of the dining area from my vantage point).

Nice ambiance and very retro look to this classic diner. The food was good. I had the daily special. Some white sauce ontop of toast and some minced meet. Other guests recommended to add a lot of salt and pepper to make it more palatable. I think I am okay if I only have this once in my life. The bakery section was fantastic and everyone enjoyed the danishes we bought. Would recommend the place, just stay with the regular breakfast menu items.

My first time visiting Butter Cream and I will DEFINITELY be back. You first walk into the most amazing assortment of pastries, donuts, cakes and cupcakes. It was hard to proceed forward to be sat for lunch. Our lunch did not disappoint. I hard the 1/2 lb burger. It was probably the best burger I've had! After lunch the gals in the bakery were super helpful in answering all my questions. I walked with two boxes of desserts to share with family and friends. Can't wait to go back!!

We visit Buttercream practically every time we are in Napa. We have eaten there, it's basically an American Diner experience with Diner type food. They have table and counter dining, and was pretty full when we were there last Sunday. Not lying, we go for the pastries and donuts usually- definitely with the stop. They do have cookies, cakes, & pies also. Best to go earlier than later because they can run out of favorites.

Bright, cheerful, friendly, and hearty fare minutes from downtown Napa. If you want to get away from the pretentious, overpriced restaurants in town, this is the place to come to for breakfast. I ordered their veggie omelette with biscuits and has browns. The biscuits melted in the mouth, the omelette was filled with spinach and mushrooms, and the hasbrowns crisped to perfection.

Better get there early this place fills up fast. This is standard American cuisine, no frills - eat-and-git. Carol was my server did good job making sure the coffee was filled. The eggs and hash browns were very good. The bacon for my tastes was over cooked and dry, the biscuits and gravy was (personally) a bit bland. I think I would have been better off with just the biscuits without the gravy as the texture and flavor seen right on. Coffee was strong but not put hair on your chest strong.

Visiting from out of town and really enjoyed our visit. Great selection of donuts and pastries. Everything was very fresh and staff working the counter were working hard.

Food was really good with big portions. Great diner atmosphere! Service was good and the baked goods were even better and reasonably priced. Would definitely return.

Friday late morning and we decided to stop for a late breakfast at Butter Cream because of the reviews and the pink exterior (my daughter is into pink). We had to wait around 45 mins for a table for four but the wait was worth it. I had a cheese omelette that brings delicious hash browns & your choice of several types of bread and it was delicious!!! Also had a muffin and I’m glad I ordered it...yumiii!!! The service was good enough, the place was buzzing with people and the check was not too bad. Definitely recommended!!!

Wonderful old fashioned cafe with seats at the breakfast bar or at tables. We ate breakfast there 3 of the 4 mornings we were in Napa. The portions are generous and delicious. Somehow we still managed to save room to purchase an item from the bakery for breakfast "dessert". They have been in business for 70 years, and we definitely understand why after eating there.

First thing you should know is the diner side closes at 1pm so get here early. The food is good and tons of pastry selections. The portions at the diner are perfect. I ordered medium rare beef patty perfectly cook, scrambled eggs, home fries and it came with two biscuits. Not the place for anyone watching there wait. I couldn't even finish. It was super busy but I don't think I waited longer than 10min for my order. They hustle! Everyone was working hard but I gotta give a shout-out to the blond lady out front who handled seating with the command of a drill sargent...If drill sargents were nice lol. She was even helping behind the counter.(Sorry I didn't get your name) Overall good experience.

Had breakfast here once, to think that we already went early and we still waited to be seated. It really shows that they’re popular. Also went to buy pastries and they’re are actually great, not too sweet.
