I just love Morimoto. First time going here for dinner as we've only been for lunch and we were not disappointed. We made reservations for a Thursday night and ended up staying at the bar for dinner since we were quite comfortable and the bartender and barback were so friendly as well as attentive. They don't have vegetable tempura on the dinner menu, but we asked and they obliged. So delicious. I also can't say enough about the red snapper or surf and turf entrees other than we did not need sides. However, the kimchi and duck confit fried rice were delicious. For dessert we enjoyed a fiery salty chocolate caramel tart. Not only is it fun to watch the chocolate melt it's deliciously rich. You cannot go wrong here.

I honestly think this was one of the best meals of my life! We ordered a variety of appetizers and cocktails, and finished off with a couple of desserts that our waiter suggested. Everything came out with a fabulous presentation and tasted even better! Also, our waiter, Anthony, was one of the best waiters I’ve ever had. 10 out of 10, will dine again!

The service was excellent and the food preparation was creative and absolutely delicious. May we’ll have been the best Japanese meal I’ve had. The surprise hit of the meal was the octopus carpaccio. The only drawback was the high noise level in this busy and bustling restaurant. Those looking for an intimate, quiet dinning experience will want to look elsewhere or dine outside on the patio. But those looking for inspired, creative Japanese cuisine will find it in Morimoto.

It was our first time and we ordered the Omakase, and from our 1st dish through the entree, it was perfect. Only had to ask for 1 thing and that was a fork (for my wife lol) however, we enjoyed it all. Especially our waiter, He made our visit very comfortable and welcoming. Thanks

Cannot fault the food - the dishes were nice, sashimi fresh but somehow, there was something lacking from the overall meal that prevented me from rating this higher. We had a booking of 8 - restaurant was full for a Thursday evening and the atmosphere was busy but not rowdy. Our server was fine, nothing outstanding & had to explain the menu a couple of times. We had a sashimi platter - fresh but nothing out of the ordinary. The main dishes were a little more innovative but other than the chicken, dish portions were rather small. Desert was special but overly sweet! We had an OK evening here. Nothing to shout about but I guess you’re in Napa so expect to pay high prices. Overall service was really slow and we had to wait a long time between courses. Perhaps my expectations were a little too high (fan of the Iron Chef) so perhaps my review is based on my expectations of being blown away by an amazing meal.

Great omakase experience. Staff was very friendly, but just a bit too in a hurry in explaining the dishes. Plating was very nice, except for the steak, which was oddly a bit off. Would recommend.

Came here for lunch with family and the place was fairly busy. Service was a little slow and it took awhile between each meal to come out. Service was outstanding. The food was good but, nothing that blew my mind. There was something lacking from the overall meal. I guess my expectations is a bit high.

Came here for a late lunch on a Sunday and the place was fairly empty but started filling up not long after we ordered. Service was a little slow and it took awhile between each courses to come out. Service was impeccable and our waters were being refilled constantly. The food was good but not great. Nothing really blew my mind. The toro tartare was small but presentation was on point. The wagyu beef capaccio was perfect. The pork chop was tender and the desserts were delicious without being overwhelmingly sweet, just how us Asians like it. Overall, I had a lovely meal and really enjoyed my time here. I had originally planned to go to their location in Honolulu but something came up so I'm glad I got to try this location.

Me and my boyfriend went for our anniversary and got the edamame and the $150 sushi platter and it was such a perfect amount, we got so full from it and the food was phenomenal. Samantha was an amazing server, she was so spot on with her recommendations, accommodating our allergies, and she had such a positive and kind demeanor. The food came out at a good pace and she even surprised us at the end with a scoop of their honey milk ice cream with a candle in it for our anniversary. Wonderful experience 10/10

My husband took me tonight for my 50th Birthday. The atmosphere and waiter was fabulous. Almost all of the food was amazing except I have to be truthful the sashimi needs to be better quality for the price we are paying, not fresh and the Maguro waa tough, but the appetizers were oh my goodness our taste buds were going crazy. So overall, I'm glad I was able to try Chef Moromotos food.

Iron Chef for a reason. Tried my first ever wagyu steak here and it was just insane. Great portions for the price as well. Morimoto has amazing integrity to serve high end food with good portion sizes. What an experience!

We loved this restaurant. Staff and service is amazing and the food definitely measures up! We had the sticky rib - yum, and the pork gyoza which were very nice. My husband had some sushi that he said was great. We also had the Angry Chicken with the confit duck fried rice. We managed to fit in dessert as well. Highly recommend

It has been our restaurant for celebrations since it opened. Our first meal was in 2013, and it has never disappointed us. Yesterday we had some delicious meals and my husband favorite drink “the white lily” I only wish they bring back their famous king crab legs, I miss it, oh well there is plenty to chose from their menu. This last time the shrimp tempura was excellent to snack with our drinks while we waited for our main course, whole fish is a most and the sticky ribs as well as their rice in the hot rock.

If you are afraid of sushi... If you want to have a GUARANTEED good bite of fish every time.... Morimoto. We had the Omakase (As you Serve Me) and while it was hardly a traditional Japanese Omakase, it was an amazing 7 course meal. (+$400 for two after drinks and 20% tip.) The only feedback I would offer from a customers perspective is that if youre going to skip the traditional way of serving Omakase and lean toward more JapaNapa Fusion... Along with a Sake Pairing, you should offer a wine pairing and a beer pairing. Not everyone wants to drink sake with american style plates. Here are our Entrees: Otoro Carpaccio (4/5) Hamachi Tartare (5/5) Mushroom dumplings (5/5) 5pc Nigiri (4/5) (For reference, average sushi places are a 2/5 for Nigiri. Incredibly fresh. Morimoto CANNOT afford to make any mistakes in Napa.) Charred Sea Bass (6/5) 4pc new York Strip with killer Au Jous (5/5) And a Yuzu Mango Crumble topped with a Merengue Shell (7/5) (I couldnt help myself. No photo for this one.... X3)

The service was excellent our table was uneven and they send someone to balance it for us. They even wiped the table after our food and gave us new plates when the next meal came. We ordered the toro and waygu sushi for $16 each and they were fantastic The food was good but I was more impressed with the care and service of the staff
