This place has always been on my list and it was worth the trek! My favorites were the clam fritters and the sugared doughboys. Swoon worthy when piping hot. The hot and cold lobster rolls were decent but not my favorites- though the buns were nicely toasted with salted butter the way I like them. When in the area, I will be back.

I have been to this place many times before. One of the best Rhode Island’s must eat at spot. Usually the line is out to the street but went there at the end of the season on week day 😬 their clam cakes and white chowder is one of the best if not the best in RI. Nice menu, seafood options and other items all reasonably priced. Close by the beach, we can’t ask for more 🫡 a happy customer here

Lobster roll platter with New England Clam Chowder and fries, Fried Clam Strips, Clam cakes, Doughboys and locally made Root Beer! Food was delicious, filling and quick to come out We had a issue with our order at first, double lobster, no strips. We also ordered a 6 piece dough boy, but only received 3 with unexpected clam cakes. The order was fixed (partially) but it seems like workers need to slow down a bit 😬. Seating is limited to about 8 picnic benches and 4 tables (covered) Free on street parking unless you are lucky enough to grab a spot at the restaurant

Great seafood! Ordered the lobster roll platter. It came with fries, Cole slaw and clam chowder. Also ordered the clam strips and some clam cakes. Food was delicious and food was made pretty quickly. I was given the wrong order at first but I brought it back to cashier and they fixed it pretty quickly only had to wait a few minutes. Definitely would visit again if in the area.

Perfect way to end a beach day or start one! Went with my family (8 people) on a Wednesday night around 6 pm. The surrounding area is clean and accessible, off of a main road with plenty of parking. Seating options include outdoor to the left of the restaurant, inside, or a short walk past a rental property to a more private area surrounded by bushes. The bathrooms are inside and double stall. There was a long line, but it moves fairly quickly, and there's plenty of space to step aside and wait for your number to be called. I highly recommend the classic New England clam chowder and clam cakes, which you can get as a combo for around $8 (includes a cup of chowder and 3 clam cakes). The clam cakes are slightly bigger than a golf ball, and the chowder does not contain bacon. I also recommend the dough boys (your choice of cinnamon, granulated or powdered sugar or plain), which are softball sized and sold by 3, 6, or 12. If those Rhode Island classics aren't your first choice, there are other options, which include sandwiches, lobster rolls, or fish and chips!

Super busy and very popular... it's great for a pit stop if you're looking for fried treats. The cost is terrifying unless you ready yourself... the lobster bisque at nearly 30 bucks a quarter, which was priced very high, but it is so worth it 👌 I've never had it's equal yet and placed at the top of best I've ever had. The fritters "clam cakes," which drew us there, were good but slightly sandy... I don't mind some grit, but after dropping almost a Bennie, I'd like my food without the off-putting crunches. P.s. they only have ketchup out. You need to ask for sauces like tartar which is Ken's... on the whole I'd go again but seriously bring lots of money.

We recently dropped by Iggy's Doughboys & Chowder House, and overall, we had a pretty good experience. We decided to go for the classic combo of Spicy Chicken Wings and French Fries, and we were pleasantly surprised. Now, let's talk about the ambiance. The place wasn't air-conditioned, and they had these old 19th-century fans hanging from the ceiling. It did get a bit warm in there, especially on a hot day, but we appreciated the effort to keep it cool with those fans. The seating area was okay, nothing too fancy. It seemed like they could use some sprucing up to make it more inviting, but hey, we were there for the food, not the decor. On the bright side, the bathroom was clean, and that's always a plus in our book. Okay, let's get to the star of the show - the food! The Spicy Chicken Wings were on point. They had that perfect amount of spice and flavor that left us wanting more. And those French Fries! Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, just the way we like 'em. One thing we loved about Iggy's is that it's an excellent spot for a quick bite. You can grab your food and be on your way to the next sightseeing adventure in no time. All in all, if you're looking for a fancy, air-conditioned restaurant, this might not be the place for you. But if you want some tasty eats in a laid-back atmosphere and you're willing to overlook the not-so-fancy setup, give Iggy's Doughboys & Chowder House a shot. The food makes it all worthwhile, and it's a convenient stop when you're out and about exploring the town.

spot is not too bad. Definitely hit the spot. It’s not the best lobster roll in the world but it will do the job in my opinion. Line wasn’t horrible and parking was accessible on the street and there’s a few spots in the back of the restaurant. Overall not a bad spot and would recommend it if you in the Narraganset Beach Area.

Great ambiance and service. Food was good not great. The clear chowder was pretty much mildly flavored broth with potatoes. The regular chowder was good. The mixed seafood platter was also good.

Absolutely amazing food, friendly staff, and great service. Literally the best lobster roll I’ve ever had, and it’s amazing for the price. 3.99 for a root beer is a lot though haha, but my girlfriend said it was the best she’s ever had. The food was WAY better quality and more for your money compared to places like the Warf and other fancy places. 10/10

Our local seafood restaurants are closed for the season but we were in the mood for cakes and chowder. Haven't been here since 2019 so decided to go for the ride. Ordered the white chowder which was thick and chunky with lots of clams and potatoes. Clam cakes are awesome, light and fluffy with real clams inside. I got the stuffy which was just okay. The texture was more like bread crumbs and lacking in spices. Next time we will try the red chowder and definitely get more clam cakes.

I indulge here twice a ‘season’ well okay maybe more than that some years. This post might not be the best as I don’t eat any seafood EXCEPT Iggy’s CC and NE Chowder! I may be strange like that but it’s always great! Yummmy!

We decided to visit IGGYS after a long day at the beach. We ordered our food and decided to go indoors to eat . I was so excited the AC was not on because most of our clothes was damp from the rain and we did not want to be cold and uncomfortable. THe AC off was a super plus’s. The food was great , claim cakes was very tasty although we didn’t find any claims ,chowder was delicious loaded with clams , do boys and Burger . Definitely worth a visit . The prices was also very fair for the location. 5 stars we are looking forward to our next visit .Meet our little friend below we got to swim with named IGGY!
