This place was fantastic. Service was phenomenal. Our server was great and very knowledgeable of the menu. Made great recommendations. She also brought out the chef to meet us. Food was top notch! I recommend the crispy potatoes, rolls with strawberry butter and the scallops! 5 stars from me and would definitely go again.
What a great place! The food was excellent! We had a wonderful cheese platter for starters. We split a spinach salad that was not the standard spinach salad. It was very fresh and not drowning in dressing. I had halibut and my husband had the filet steak. Both were delightful. Then we shared a desert that had in-house made butterscotch ice cream, yum. To top off this restaurant, the staff was friendly and attentive, but not intrusive. We had a wonderful evening and plan on returning in the near future.
My wife and I loved it here! On our Honeymoon, we stopped by for lunch on a recommendation- and every dish that came out was creative, unique and absolutely delicious! We were smiling the entire meal with the friendly waitstaff, and the perfection of presentation and phenomenal flavor that was in each dish. The super talented chef, Deb, was super sweet and thanked us for stopping by. Highly, HIGHLY recommend!
Our favorite restaurant!! Food was delicious; Matt, our server, was fantastic. Matt was one of the best servers we have ever had; very friendly, informative; right on top of everything. The charcuterie salad is a must try & both lamb & scallops were wonderful. Very relaxed atmosphere; did not feel rushed at anytime. Great overall!
5 star establishment, and how cool is it that the chef is part owner, here observing that every dish is up to par with standards set by the chef herself, who was previously rated one among top 50 chefs in the US. Bar has a nice atmosphere. Drinks are nice food is absolutely 5 stars. Beet salad is divine. Short ribs appetizer Incredible. Katie at the bar will treat you as if you are First Class. I am a restaurant connoisseur I admire fine dining and I give the etch 5 stars.
Etch has the most amazing environment and service. The food was wonderful and delicious. It was a great experience being there and I would would recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to eat. Awesome!

This is perhaps the best food in Nashville. Best cauliflower I’ve ever eaten. The service is outstanding and the food
Love, love, loved this place!! We went for my birthday and for this one specific drink called the Pharma-coe-pia. Needless to say it lived up to the hype. The drinks were amazing, the service was excellent, and the food was phenomenal!
Exquisite dinner and service. The food was cooked to perfection. There was no rush, a true dining experience. . Each course was beautifully prepared and served. Great wine and cocktail menu. The chocolate hazelnut ice cream served on little nuggets of brownie was divine.
Amazing birthday in Nashville made even more special by a fabulous dinner here! Our server Matthieu was very kind and knowledgeable. He bent over backwards to make our meal an amazing experience. The carrot enchiladas are insanely delicious and creative - we loved everything about our experience here!
Celebrating our 4th year anny at Etch. First time and won’t be the last. Kristen was fantastic in knowing the menu and the flavor combinations. Very attentive and made the night that much more enjoyable. Thank you.
My current best meal I have had in Nashville! We had the bread and butter, cauliflower, venison, and lamb. I was overwhelmed by the knowledge and friendliness of the staff. Can't wait to go back! Thanks Etch!!!
Amy and Will absolutely blew our minds! Bachelor party weekend was made complete with the top notch service and dinner from Etch!
One of the best restaurants we’ve eaten in a while. Super unique and delicious food.
Had to swing into Nashville for celebration of life for one of my best friends mom's who recently passed. On my way out I stopped by etch, I heard they have a really decent menu I was impressed. lunch and my cocktail were excellent. I had the Korean fried chicken Sandwich with housemade potato chips and a bourbon based cocktail called snake eyes. Look forward to trying diner.
Every single thing we got was delicious. The star of the show was the "From the Sea" special with salmon. My husband got the scallops and they were perfectly cooked. Fried Brussel sprouts were outstanding. Our cocktails were excellent. We made room for the "Ice cream sundae" for dessert and it was delicious and light, perfect for after a big meal. Service was excellent as well. Our waitress was personable, knowledgeable, and attentive. Highly recommended!
My experience at Etch restaurant was nothing short of extraordinary, and I'm excited to share the details:
Culinary Delight: Etch is a culinary gem. The menu is a masterful blend of flavors and textures, showcasing a range of options for vegetarians and omnivores alike. The creativity in each dish is truly remarkable.
Ambiance: The restaurant exudes a high-end, yet welcoming ambiance. It's perfect for a special occasion or a memorable dining experience. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable, ready to guide you through the menu.
Pro Tips: Reservations are highly recommended, especially for dinner. The place is quite popular, and it's not surprising why. As for parking, there are nearby garages, but you might find it more convenient to use valet service.
Vegetarian options: As a vegetarian, I was spoiled for choice. The chefs here truly understand how to make vegetables shine. Don't miss the Roasted Cauliflower, a delightful explosion of flavors.
Signature Dishes: The menu is ever-evolving, but some signature dishes are consistently outstanding. The Brussels Sprouts are legendary, and the Gnocchi is a must-try.
Etch is more than a restaurant; it's a gastronomic adventure. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply savoring the finer things in life, this place delivers on all fronts. Just be prepared for an unforgettable dining experience in the heart of the city. 🍽️🍷🌟
This place was recommended by everyone. I thought it was good but not amazing. Service had great southern hospitality. Atmosphere was ok. Ordered Caesar salad which was loaded with garlic and overdressed. Pork chop was very tender but a bit too salty. Ice cream sundae was good but wish it had hot fudge. Overall good not great.
This is a top-notch restaurant with service the way fine dining used to be.
The food and cocktails were exquisite, and the service was exemplary. Though we had a slight issue with a gluten-free dish, the staff was accommodating and were able to resolve it immediately. The Etch salad was so delicious and well balanced with the ingredients and dressing. We all ordered the scallops, and the preparation, cooking, and flavors were all perfection. I look forward to returning and exploring more of the menu items.
Sat at the bar for my boyfriend's birthday. They gave him a birthday card from the staff which was cute. We started out with the Beef Carpaccio, split the Pork Chop since we were planning on hitting up another restaurant late-night, and had a nice bottle of red. Everything was perfect! Our server was amazing. Management was also thorough in making sure there was no cross contamination due to my boyfriend's shellfish allergy. The Pavlova we had for dessert was absolutely divine! I really appreciate chefs that are creative with their recipes but not so creative that the flavors clash. Beautiful restaurant, great staff, amazing food!!! This place is legit!
What started off as happy hour, turned into dinner, turned into lunch the next day.
We thoroughly enjoyed the attention to detail in the food - all the sauces and components in every dish truly delivers a multi textural, flavor forward experience.
Been a couple of times years ago before Covid. Loved it then when they had the butter tasting. Had to come back as it was one of our favorite restaurants. Server was awesome. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Started with gluten free bread which was really good. However the entrees were just ok. I had the steak and my wife had the scallops. Not as flavorful as they could be. The chai ice cream was good though. Not sure if we would go back.
Food and atmosphere were great. It was a very fast service though, not a wine and dine experience I was expecting. We were seated, appetizers and main course ate in 30 minutes. Guess that's good for some.
Had a larger group that I tried to make dinner reservations for and was too late to book them, so my wife and I decided to make lunch reservations the following day just for ourselves. So very glad we did. Service was impeccable, all the food was well prepared, flavorful, and just the right size.
We had the roasted cauliflower and all the sauces that came with it were amazing. The smoke truffle pea puree was astounding.
The half size Mediterranean salad my wife had was incredibly flavorful and we appreciated that they come in half sizes.
The Korean chicken sandwich I had was perfectly seasoned and well balanced with the additional toppings and flavorings on the sandwich.
The old fashioned cocktail I had was well mixed and priced well.
The original and completely in house made sundae at the end of the meal was original, and delicious.
Can't recommend etch high enough.
Amazing. The open kitchen counter experience is great, the team is energized and work so well together. Everyone is happy here and it reflects in the service and the food. Highly recommend the carpaccio, but everything on the menu is terrific. The chef is a fireball, fully of energy and everything is on point.
It’s very good, not perfect.
Don’t get me wrong! This was a great experience, so far the best place I’ve eaten in Nashville. But I make food myself every day, so I’m picky: flavors are very interesting but I consider using the same sauces for appetizers and entrees a little lazy, my filet mignon was a little too salty (!) and I make a better one at home, the portions of some items could be bigger (carpaccio), drinks could be stronger and tastier, and it wasn’t worth $450 for 4 people. But they try very hard, service is great, it’s quiet despite being busy, and I’d come back again to try some more items on their menu.
Absolutely the best lunch ever! Shared the roasted cauliflower appetizer, enjoyed the veggie risotto bowl and shared a pear hazelnut tart for dessert. All outstanding!!
My dining experience at the restaurant Etch was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, Alyssa, my server, greeted me with a warm smile and provided attentive service throughout my meal. Her kindness and personable nature truly stood out among the staff. However, it wasn't just Alyssa who made my visit special; it seemed that everyone working there genuinely cared about ensuring an incredible experience for me, despite my dietary restrictions involving "no dairy".
The menu at Etch offered a fantastic array of options, and I was blown away by the delicious flavors in each dish I tried. One standout recommendation I have is the Elderberry Sorbet served with a delightful honey granola topping. It was an absolute treat for the taste buds.
Notably, the attention to detail extended beyond just the desserts. Even a simple appetizer like the cauliflower with roasted bell pepper and verdè sauce was thoughtfully modified to suit my needs as a single serving. This level of accommodation truly impressed me.
Moving on to the main course, the Chicken and Sizzling Rice stole the show. Presented beautifully in a bowl, it offered a delightful combination of flavors and textures that left me thoroughly satisfied. I couldn't resist taking the Ancient Grain Bowl to go, along with my leftovers, for a delicious supper later in the evening.
In conclusion, I cannot recommend Etch enough. The entire staff, including Alyssa, went above and beyond to make my dining experience exceptional. My compliments also go to the talented chef, Deb Paquette, whose culinary skills undoubtedly made each dish memorable. Impressive is truly an understatement when describing the food and overall experience at this remarkable restaurant.
Great chef-driven restaurant for foodies, or anyone. Chef's creation (pictured) was a life-changing dish with lamb meatballs, sweet potato puree, & goat cheese grits. Pastry chef goes nuts on dessert here as well. Highly recommend both the olive oil cake & ice cream sundae which comes with some really unique sesame + caramel accents.
We reserved counter seats for our wedding anniversary. They had a card and champagne ready for us when we got there. Every single thing we ordered was absolutely delicious and the staff was friendly and welcoming and made our anniversary special. We will definitely be back anytime we are in Nashville. We may even have to make a special trip!
Food was amazing, service was great. Thoroughly enjoyed all of the dishes we ordered. We got the from the sea, which was mahi mahi. The chef’s creation pork chop, and the carpaccio. All were very delicious and creative.
If you are looking for some fine dining in downtown Nashville this a must! A few friends and I had dinner here last week. Top notch restaurant, we had no reservations but they still accommodate us quickly. The bar tender John run his bar and super served us at the same time. I love a waiter who loves food and serving and John was excellent, he knew the dishes and what to wine to pair a real professional. Etch has a really nice atmosphere and the food is great. I had the venison, hot potato salad and fried brussel sprouts. All delicious, there were 5 of us so we had a number of items off the menu and everything was great. If you want a dinning experience this is a top shelf spot. It's not a cheap place to eat but for the level of dinning you are getting I thinks it's well priced. I will be back!!
