I've been twice now. Excellent food, fun atmosphere, and perhaps the best customer service of any restaurant in Nashville. On my last visit the waiter forgot one of our tapas. A manager quickly came to our table, sincerely apologized and sent it out on the house. Just recently I had a similar situation in Santa Fe where the appetizer was not served until we were nearly done with our main coarse. No compensation was offered and the waiter made it worse by blaming the kitchen! So thank you Barcelona for treating me the way you would want to be treated!
My biggest pet peeve at any restaurant is an empty glass. Not a problem at Barcelona. The wait staff is efficient and knowledgeable about the cocktails.
Tapas: While all the tapas we tried were good, the ham and cheese croquettes were my favorite. (You will not want to share!) The meatballs were my least favorite. My husband said the same thing though the rest of my group loved them.
We had 3 desserts. The chocolate mousse (fabulous but oh so rich), the Dulce de Leche crepe with Cinnamon Ice cream and the apple crisp. The Dulce de Leche was the clear winner among our group.
Cocktails: I started with the tequila drink. It was good. I had a friend recommend the sangria so I tried both the regular and the herbal. The herbal sangria is so unique. Loved it!
They could improve on a few things...1. The music was way too loud on both visits. (You literally must yell to be heard! There were 8 in our group and we all agreed on this.) 2. They need valet parking! It was an absolute downpour when arrived and parking is hard to come by. We had attended a funeral beforehand. My husband was in coat and tie and by the time he got into the restaurant his shoes and socks were wet and cold. (It was freezing outside!) While I realize this is no fault of the restaurant as there is no land for a lot, it's still a major inconvenience in bad weather! 3. They need a coat rack! My rain coat was too long to drape over the back of my chair. (According to the hostess, other patrons had also inquired about coat check, as well). She apologized for not having a coat rack and quickly offered to keep my coat at the hostess stand. It was soaking wet so I took her up on it!
There are not enough words to describe how wonderful this place is. Everything from the wine selection, the menu options, the staff are all above and beyond. If you’re ever in the Edgehill area and want a truly enjoyable dining experience, I’d recommend walking into Barcelona. I promise you will not be disappointed. Patrick and the rest of the staff are amazing.
On a girls weekend in Nashville we happened by Barcelona and took a chance. We sat outside on the breezy patio and had plate after plate of delicious treats. Highly recommend everything was amazing.
Snuck in before the crowd arrived. Patio seating! Diverse menu and wine list are divine. Enjoyed a great early dinner with great weather and enjoyed! Whipped sheep cheese was super yummy! Gambas delicious. Patata bravas were near as awesome as some we enjoyed in Spain! I love this gem. If you go at Prime time, make a reservation. Park across the street you do have to pay. They also have valet parking later in day. With this wonderful beverage menu I recommend Uber or Lyft!
I️ went for my birthday and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, service, and food. I️ wish I️ could remember my servers name-she was impressive. She was very patient with our table of first time diners and extremely knowledgeable of the menu and her recommendations were on point. Halfway into eating our tapas a manager brought us over a free chicken dinner entree (I️ think it was made by mistake for another table but we were happy to take it)! And the rest of our food and drinks were delicious too. For a Monday night I️ was impressed that it was so busy. There is lots of selection on the menu which gave me a great reason to return again soon and try more dishes.
Nashville has always had a good variety of restaurants. Recently there has been some new sophisticated additions. Barcelona provides an exciting ambiance, authentic Spanish menu and great wine selection. What a treat. Great indoor and outdoor seating and a vibrant bar are must in this up and coming neighborhood.
Great tapas at Barcelona, good wine selection and friendly service. I would recommend this place and would go back.
Great atmosphere and wine selection. The food is awesome and service was top notch. We sat at the bar and everyone was very helpful and took great care of us. I could tell the place is well run based on the service and quality of the employees.
Barcelona Edgehill has excellent tapas at a great price, and an extensive wine list with wines by the glass that you can't find anywhere else. I also like that they offer 3 ounce pours so you can try something different without a full glass commitment. And their customer service is outstanding!
I've also dined at one of the Barcelona Wine Bars in DC and the food at the Nashville location is much better.

Fantastic atmosphere, service and food. The roasted brussels sprouts and bacon wrapped dates were to die for. We will definitely be back.
Loved, loved, loved this place! I visited with 2 friends and we got several menu options, all of which were amazing. The service was fabulous. We were all celebrating our birthdays and Barcelona was definitely the place to do that!
Awesome bar, food is amazing, atmosphere is new and fresh. This is well on it’s way to the new best happening spot in Nashville.

Amazing food , amazing place , our server John was awesome . We will come back soon
What a great place! The atmosphere was fantastic as was the food. I typically don't love tapas style restaurants due to them being over priced. I was surprised at the variety of foods at prices that allowed me to get multiple dishes without breaking the bank. The Brussel sprouts were amazing. My other favorite was the corn salad. Our waitress was super helpful and helped pick out a wine that was perfect for me. All in all it was a great experience. I will definitely be back.
Excellent service from the waiters (John & Dinesh) to the management staff. Thanks for making my wife’s birthday celebration special. The food was A1! 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
First time going there. I like it! The atmosphere is very nice, accepted we went on Saturday night, they are very busy & music very loud.
The food was good. I like the date wrapped in bacon, only blue cheese is so salty, but when you eat it together it is okay. The seafood dish that we ordered was super salty, I'm not sure if it's the style of the food.
However, I recommend you try this place. The server was very friendly. We will be back next time but might try to sit outside.
This had an authentic tapas bar vibe. You should be picking at small bites, late at night, with friends at a busy, unfussy bar buzzing with energy. This felt just like that. Tremendous selection of tapas just like I had in Spain, delivered promptly to the table with great wine to pair with it. People watching atmosphere (if you’re into that), yet tables felt intimate for conversation.
This place has everything! Olives bread a vibe that makes you feel like you want to take your shirt off. The food was amazing and the service was awesome! I will definitely go back and I highly recommend!
Love love love the food and atmosphere here. One of the togo restaurants to bring friends to for me. Always to make a reservation! They are busy.
I love their food. But do not recommend to go when there are big holiday around. Their service tend to be slow and messy when there are too many crowds. Had terrible experiences before with having to wait for half an hour to order and charging for extra food.
Other than that, a great restaurant for friends gathering.
This cool place was our best surprise since we moved to Nashville Suburb from Chicago. Chic, upscale, yet casual. Food was amazing. Service blew us away. Vibrant and classy atmosphere was right for couple night out or with friends and family. We went first time on Mother's day week. Then we repeated again with kids from Chicago last weekend. Every Tapas plate had unbelievable flavor and plate presentation. They were as good as what we always ate in Spain. We tried the Spanish red wine. They were great and reasonable priced. Manager Tony came to our table several times to make sure everything was the best. Then waiter Ryan impressed our adult kids from Chicago with his extra ordinary service. Lamb chops melted in our mouth. Roasted cauliflower was the best ever. All others were unique and extremely flavorful.
Food was really good. I like the smaller portions so you can try multiple things but also share with friends. The drinks were amazing though! Definitely going into the restaurant rotation with friends
Wow! I must say, the dining experience at this establishment was nothing short of extraordinary. The delectable array of dishes left me utterly speechless, and the extensive selection of wines, particularly the outstanding porto, was a true delight for the senses. Our server, Elijah, proved to be a true connoisseur, skillfully guiding us through the wine and food pairings with impressive knowledge and finesse. Moreover, our gracious hostess, Jamie, made the evening even more special by attentively engaging with us on multiple occasions, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for our birthday celebration. Now, the cheeses - unparalleled in their diverse range of flavors, they provided a taste journey like no other. What truly impressed me was the unpretentious nature of the entire dining experience, offering a variety of dishes catering to all palates. This place is undoubtedly a haven for food lovers and wine enthusiasts alike, and it will remain etched in my memory as one of the finest culinary adventures I've had the pleasure to savor
Very helpful and accommodating staff! Amazing hospitality and delicious food 👌🏼 You can’t go wrong with this place when you have a big party of people gathering to celebrate different occasions. Highly recommend!
Barcelona is one of my frequent go-to restaurants for tapas. You cannot go wrong when ordering anything from the menu. Barcelona has a variety of cheeses that will satisfy any cheese lover. Their various tapas are great to share with your most pickiest eater. Every thing I have tried on the menu is flavorful and delicious. The managers often walk around, introduce themselves and ask if you are enjoying your meal. I love when restaurants value their customers. If you have never eaten cauliflower, now is the time to try their cauliflower tapas. Flavored to perfection and presented on a bed of jalapeño romesco. Don’t let the jalapeño romesco scare you, as the heat is delicate and delightful on the palate. The blistered shishito peppers has a small amount of tang from the lime and perfectly seasoned with sea salt. The Jamon & Manchego Croquetas are filling and savory. I could go on, but you need to get over to Barcelona and enjoy their mouthwatering tapas.
Overall score 4 out of 5
The food was good
The staff was great
I would go again.
Great hidden honey hole. ;)
Everything about this place is spectacular!!!! Do not sleep on the paella! Other favorites are the mushrooms and the meatballs!
It’s just So good 😋🫠
The only thing I would recommend to use less salt for the
paella 🥘
Thanks guys ☺️
Shout out to Jordan, Cameron, Jasmine and Carl. Your care and attentiveness to your customer needs was perfect. Food was incredibly great so hats off to Jordan. Wish you could do something on noise level.
Absolutely fabulous restaurant, per this Norfolk, Virginia resident. Food was superb, atmosphere was delightful, and the service and Owner's attention to my sister-in-law and me was way over the top. I was reading her cookbooks on my visit and found a bacon wrapped fig recipe; she recommended the Barcelona Restaurant. We were greeting by warm, friendly staff and the Owner. We mentioned bacon warped figs as we entered. Our wonderful waitress, Spencer noted the bacon wrapped figs were sold out, so sad. What a surprise when the figs were delivered to our table. The Owner found the last portion and had it delivered a a gift. Spencer identified the GF options, and was very attentive. The Owner stopped by twice, and then had desert delivered as a gift.
The two of us were recounting memories of my brother who died in 2017. He was such a foodie and would have loved Barcelona.
Thanks to all who made our dinner so memorable.
My girl group went on a weekend trip to Nashville, and a member of our group made reservations here. I’m so glad she did! The food was fabulous. There were five of us, and we got about 12 different tapas to share. Each dish was more delicious, than the last. I was in Spain recently, and this food was better than what I had over there. It had all the simple, fresh ingredients you’d expect to find in Spain like jamon, potatoes, chorizo, etc., but the sauces were complicated, delicate things that really enhanced the flavor of the foods. We had the best Albariño I’ve ever had as well. The service was fast, the setting vibrant and exciting, and it was all surprisingly affordable. I didn’t get good pics bc we had eaten most of it before I thought about it, but I’ll post what I have.
The food was fantastic! We got to try lots of little things from all corners of the menu, highly reccommend the pork belly and spinach with chickpeas. We shared a veggie and meat paella as well, both were delicious. Service was awesome and was happy to accomodate some higher maintenance members of my party. We will definitely be back!
We went here for my friend’s birthday and had a fantastic experience. The host was incredible and made the night so special for my friend. The food was fabulous! She and I ordered a bunch of the vegetable tapas which were amazing. I highly recommend the paella. We really loved all of the food here.
Love the tapas here. Everything is so delicious. Great atmosphere and friendly service. Lots of wine options- the bartender gave us perfect recommendations
