Awesome little place! Even if you don't have dietary restrictions, it is well worth a try. Everything is vegan and I believe anything can be made gluten free. I am by no means even a vegetarian and honestly their fake chicken and bacon were delicious. Customer service was awesome and they even have a cat that hangs out on their patio.
Also their prices are actually just as good or even better than places that serve meat.

I absolutely love the Sunflower Cafe! Wednesdays they make vegan lasagna that will sell out! My mom’s favorite is their Asian slaw and anything with the BBQ. The roasted potatoes are divine and it is just a treat to come because I don’t have to worry about my dairy and egg allergies :))))

If you’re Vegan or Vegetarian this is your holy grail. It is the one primary, only plant based buffet powerhouse here in Nashville. I was so pleased to find it a few years ago, and still visit it regularly. It features daily specials, (having taco Tuesday today), daily special veggie (although there are many to choose), a hot bar of proteins and veggies, and a cold bar with bean salads, pad Thai, kale citrus salad, fruit salads and more. No meat, all plant based. That should say it all, and hence my 5 star rating. Only 4 star on atmosphere, because it’s in a strange area off Thompson Ln, tucked in a neighborhood, and the outside seems a little dated and rustic. Nonetheless, it has a screened in patio in front, and a cute little open patio out back (pic below). Atmosphere isn’t much to me, food is what’s important. You’re doing a great job Sunflower, and I love the fairly new Sunflower Bakehouse as well, over on the Eastside of Nashville. Servers are friendly and it’s a bus-your-own-table kind of place. Online orders saved me during Covid. Love this place!

Have come here a few times already and have not been disappointed! The food is always fresh and super flavorful. This time, I got the hot chicken wrap. It was really good but also very acidic. The chickpea salad was also delicious. The grapes with celery seemed like a strange combo at first but was surprised to find that the sweet juice from the grape balanced out the flavors and gave it that extra pop of flavor. Can't wait to come back!

I’ve loved the food here for years, but the best part is their mascot! Lentil the cat was found hanging around the restaurant and the cafe owners give her food and made her a warm shelter for her to sleep in ☺️ every time I come to this cafe, I say hello to Lentil first!

Super casual spot with outdoor seating and friendly staff. I would definitely like to come back here and try some of the other items.

Awesome spot with incredible food that is tasty and all plant-based. Burgers, Philly cheese steak, etc, all with alternative proteins and cheeses.
Their garlic aioli is fantastic!
Sides are excellent and are in a Chipotle-style pick and choose buffet style.
Lots of drink options from homemade kombuchas and an interesting assortment of canned and bottled options.
Plenty of seating indoor and outdoor.
In general, their food selections are creative and all healthy. Looking forward to eating here more and more often! 🌻

I love Sunflower Cafe and my favorite item is the buffalo tempeh wrap. It has so much flavor with the shredded carrots, onions and vegan ranch. It’s so flavorful I like to eat it with the sesame kale which is pretty basic, but I like it. And the potato salad is creamy and has a good taste but not a lot of intense flavor, again making it a good accompaniment to the wrap.

My husband, daughter, and I love this place! We are vegetarians and have been eating here for years. I’ve never been disappointed with something I ordered. Today we got a traditional burger bowl with sunflower rice and a cocoa oatmeal cookie, beans and sunflower rice with a side of sweet potatoes and chips, and crab cakes. My meal was $13 + cookie $5 + a drink. Our total was about $45 for the three of us. If you like vegetarian food, this is a great place to go. The staff are also very friendly and helpful.

Another hidden gem of a vegan restaurant in Nashville. Thai Ginger Bowl and BBQ Wrap were nourishing and tasteful.
The variety in their menu is tempting enough to make you want to go again!.

I am not a vegetarian or a vegan and I love the food at this place! I think that really says something! Their wraps are great and do yourself a favor and get their vegan chocolate mousse!! (I actually get cravings for it!) The staff is friendly too! Great place to get something different to eat!

Super delicious food. Everything (except the buns) is gluten-free, which is rare...ask for a house made gluten-free bun- they don't taste like cardboard, I promise! Excellent and knowledgeable staff, too.

Absolutely delicious! They let us sample anything we wanted, which was helpful because we simply couldn't choose! We got the mock crab cakes on a spinach wrap. The mock crab cakes were so flavorful and made of hearts of palm. Crunchy exterior, which paired well with the remoulade. I got a side of chickpea salad as well (chick'n salad). It needed more salt, pepper, and garlic, but it was a nice crunchy contrast. I wouldn't pick it again, though, because it needed to be creamier. If you're in Nashville, this MUST be one of your go-to spots. My mom adores this place, and understandably so. I'm looking forward to trying new things in the future, and yes, everything is vegan except their gluten-free buns (Udi's brand) and if you choose dairy cheese.

My regular diet is far from vegan, but it's always such a joy to take lunch breaks here. Staff is kind and accommodating and the food is well-made and filling. My dog and I also appreciate the pet friendly back patio!

I live in Cookeville and work in Nashville a couple days a week. Every week, I load up a to-go bag and take lunches and dinners back home. My husband and I try to eat vegetarian or vegan as much as possible. Your dishes are amazing! Especially the jalapeno burger, sesame kale and siracha hummus.

Food was disappointing. Very bland flavor. Place was dirty with cobwebs and all. Don’t think I’ll be going back. I’ll stick with eating meat. FYI this was my first ever Vegan meal

My wife and I recently became vegetarians 3 months ago, and have only made our meals at home from recipes we found online. Never knew this place existed, and practically in our backyard!!! We had a great visit and will definitely be back often!
