Rotiers is a multi generation, family owned dive burger joint. They have served Nashvillians for years. I personally love, love the french bread poppy seed cheeseburger. It's different and I love it and have eaten it since I was a child. My father loved their chicken livers. This is not a generic commercial feel restaurant but one of the places that makes Nashville great.

We were able to experience a true Nashville landmark. The food was great and plenty of it. The fried bologna sandwich and onion rings were superior but the basket of chicken gizzards and gravy were one of a kind. We will be back and recommend Rotier's to anyone who wants a great meal for a good price without the noise and craziness.

OLD school, excellent burger on french bread and crisp chips. The best meal we had in 3 days of "the best" of Nashville restaurants.

Had the cheeseburger on french bread, onion rings, and fried pickle spears. Enjoyed every bite! Service was good. We were acknowledged within a reasonable timeframe from when we sat. Food was HOT, server friendly, and we'll be back!

Great down home authentic family run restaurant in operation since 1945. If you are looking For upscale eating then don't go here. If you are looking for homemade southern food with friendly service then this place is for you

Very well-known restaurant in Nashville. This was my second time there. Great food, friendly, down to earth staff and rustic environment located near Vanderbilt University and Centennial Park. I had the cheeseburger and onion rings. Both delicious. My brother had cheese sticks and a drink. The burger, while good, was kind of smallish for the price but probably not a bad thing for my growing belly. There's a french bread burger that they tout as the best burger in the world. My brother didn't like his cheese sticks but I had a couple and thought they were quite tasty. He's pretty finicky (and thin), the opposite of me. I enjoyed the dining environment there and would go back again for sure. Uploaded seven photos for you google folks.

What a surprise! My cousin brought me here on a recent visit to Nashville. I had NO IDEA what I was in for. Had the French Bread Cheese Burger and chips. That burger was amazing. The chewy bread combined with the beef and cheese... oh my! I will return each time I visit Nashville. Delicious And be prepared for a long wait unless you show up at 2:30pm, like we did. Well worth any wait there could be.

Best cheeseburgers and milkshakes in Nashville! I've been coming here for 20 years and there's no place like it! You can get your cheeseburger on a regular bun, French bread out my favorite way, grilled (like Texas toast). I usually get a side of fries and onion rings (half & half) and the fried pickled are good too!

I had my first cheese burger at Rotier’s over 25 years ago and they are still just as good and the place hasn’t changed a bit! Great place to relax and reminisce with friends and family downtown or just stop in for a quick lunch. There is a rich history to the place and one of the oldest businesses in Nashville. Cheese burger with grilled onions and a fried egg on french bread with an order of their onion rings, Awesome!

The best burger I have found in Nashville. It's an old style diner and the retro decorations take you back somewhere fun. Everything I have had there has been delicious. The onion rings... Just like my mom used to make.

French bread cheeseburgers, fries, chocolate shakes. This is a Nashville landmark that has to be experienced. Old school decor to match the old school shakes. Have loved this place for 30 years.

Been going here for years and still love it. The sweet tea is "to die for" especially if you are hungover. I always get the grilled cheeseburger but hear that other things on the menu are good too!

Service was polite and fun, very friendly, matched the atmosphere perfectly, food was delicious. I got the open faced roast beef sandwich. Mashed potatoes were absolutely amazing. Has that dive bar feel done right (all that homey, dim light look). Very clean, very comfortable, never rushed. Perfect for a solo lunch.

This was such a great place to eat. It was just a hole in wall restaurant we decided to take a chance on. They had the best friend pickles I've had in a long time. They were adorable and honestly some of the best food we've had on our vacation. Definitely recommend!

Excellent food and old/historic vibe. Great burgers, no doubt. Very friendly service. I'll definitely be back when I visit Nashville. Extremely difficult to find parking but not necessarily their fault. There needs to be some interior improvements. You can keep this place looking original and still reupholster or add padding to the seat cushions. They collapse like they are over 60 years old.

Followed a recommendation to eat lunch here and loved it. Everyone is super friendly, Scott talked classic rock concerts and the food is too tasty and too much. Best Chicken Liver and Cabbage I've had in years. Reminds me of old days and grandmothers. Will definitely come back.

Not only are their burgers wonderful and their service warm and welcoming, the owners are truly decent people too! When I forgot my beanie there and came back for it the next day, they said they had found it and taken it home to be washed (it had apparently fallen on the floor). Since I live in New York they offered to mail it back to me, and it arrived safe and sound. A for food, A+ for wholesome decency.

Fast, friendly service. Great food (the pork plate was phenomenal - it didn't even need any sauce). Relaxed old-school atmosphere with comfy vinyl booths and ambient lighting. Fair prices. Walking distance from Centennial Park (Parthenon). Burgers were fantastic, my kids cleared their plates. So glad we popped in for lunch. No complaints.

After going place after place for lunch and seeing lines out the door, it was awesome to get to Rotier's and be seated right away. Our food came quickly, and it was delicious. Their ranch dressing is out of this world, and so are the onion rings. The waitress seemed a little cold at first (I think she could easily tell we were from out of town), but she warmed up quickly. Overall, a great experience.

Probably Nashville’s best kept secret. One of the best burgers you will find in the 615 area. Don’t tell your friends cause this place is never crowded and that’s how the locals like it. Crinkle fries and sweet tea for days!! Just fantastic

We were recommended to eat here by a former local. We are so glad she told us about this little gem. The food was fantastic! It was all house made! The business was quite small, but packed a heck of a punch. It definitely had a vintage feel to it. Everyone must visit here!
