Craft and speed are married perfectly at this bar. Verry similar vibes to mothers Ruin in Germantown. This is the best bar in the Gulch arguably in the city. Bartenders are skilled and knowledgeable the vibes are great and they have a roster of outstanding DJs. It's very low key and lounge esque during the week and becomes one of the most lit clubs during the weekend. Tourists will love the views and the vibes. Locals will love having a hangout spot this cool. There's never a cover and the sheer number of people on the weekends makes this an ideal spot for a low pressure first date you can sneak off into the crowd if it doesn't go well...you may even find another option. If you go on a Sunday Nighy it's much more laid back and probably better for conversation. All in all it's one of the best bars in Nashville and it's worth a visit to find out why.

It was a charming bar to relax after a long day. We were fortunate to experience the place when it was not that crowded. Great view of the city. And service was decent. We came for the drinks and they were not that bad.

Super cute outdoor sitting area! Our waiter Nate was really nice and attentive. Go check out his new album on Spotify! (Nate DiRuzza). Definitely recommend the Devil in the new dress cocktail.. super yummy!!

Had brunch here and it was AMAZING! Great food, drinks, and views! Also their bathrooms are immaculate 🤩

Went for brunch on a Saturday, drinks and food were both good. The servers are on top of cleaning between people and checking in on people. Great music and views too! If you are trying to enjoy some food, try to stay inside or in the shade for sure, but overall a great brunch option.

Came up for cocktails before heading out to dinner and enjoyed the rooftop patio. There are fire tables, heaters, and plenty of space to spread out. The drinks were amazing and the service was great. View of downtown Nashville is awesome. We’ll be back next time we stay in the Gulch!

Fun rooftop bar away from busy Broadway. My wife and I were staying at the Thompson Hotel, where this bar is located, and went up on a Thursday night. There was a DJ, people dancing, good drinks, and we sat outside looking at the skyline and occasionally watched tipsy people dancing. It was fun! I can see this as being a go to spot if I was a local!

Great rooftop bar. We went during early evening and enjoyed the splendid views, cool vibe, and friendly service!! Drinks were AMAZING. My wife and I each got a specialty cocktail then split a third. Good quality for your money, I can't understand why people complain about the price, $14-15 for a specialty cocktail in or near downtown Nashville is pretty common, and the cocktails were worth it.
Food was very tasty, a little pricey for how much you get, but I was expecting that. Considering all the other "pros" I wouldn't say it's a con. I will come again for the great service, delicious drinks, views, and vibe, and if I must order food, I don't mind doing so to have this experience again!

Brought my homeboy here who was in from out of town. It’s a great place to show variety in the Nashville nightlife. Tourists generally hit up Broadway but here if feels a little more local! Fantastic rooftop area (usually really packed). And the food menu is super legit. It’s hard not to get the burger and garlic fries! But bring back the WINGS!!

Located in The Gulch, the Thompson Hotel rooftop bar has a phenomenal perspective of Nashville! The drinks are pricey but worth the splurge.
Bucket list bar!

Excellent cocktails and the very best crispy Brussels sprouts snack EVER. In fact, all the food and drinks we enjoyed at LA Jackson were top-notch! Not to mention the excellent (seriously exceptional) service!! Our server was uniquely interested in ensuring our fun night!! We can't wait to do it again here at this high end, swanky roof top in Nashville!! A special thanks to James, Alyssa & Kellie who made our visit particularly special!

Beautiful venue! One of the best skyline views of downtown Nashville, especially during the sunset golden hour. I didn’t get to try any of their small bites, but I did have some their cocktails that were delicious and fairly priced. Went during the midweek, and had a great time. Will definitely be back here when I’m back in the area!

This place is great, we went to during the day and had a blast. The bartenders are great at their craft, the drinks were great. We didn't have any food but ill vouch for the liquor. May be expensive for some but you actually get what you pay for. Don't forget to check the view.

Food is ok, drinks are perfect, great for chill and listen great music without dancing

My sister and I went here for a drink before a concert while visiting Nashville. It was a Tuesday night, so it was pretty chill. We were greeted by a hostess outside of the bar and then we were welcomed in. We ordered drinks from a super friendly bartender inside and then took our drinks outside to the rooftop portion of the bar. Our drinks were so good, the service was friendly and we loved the atmosphere. I'd definitely return here for drinks and maybe try some of the food.

Mixed crowd, great mixture of music, server May-Ann and drinks was off the chain‼️ 👌🏼 Will be returning we had a ball and more importantly the drinks are not watered down you definitely get your $$ worth. We was done after 1 1/2 cups 🥤🤣 city view was immaculate 🙌 Thank you for our first experience💋

Great place for a nightcap. Good dessert selection. Drink selection was excellent, lots of craft cocktails and beers to choose from. The drink prices are on the higher side, but nothing that crazy. You pay a little more for the view ($7 beers, $13 cocktails, $14 wines). Unfortunately, we were here as a couple and couldn't order th $100 group cocktails, which require a minimum of 6 people.
Can't beat the view, definitely worth a stop if you are in the Gulch at night.

I have been LA Jackson on 3 occasions and would rate them all differently. My first visit on 1-12-17 was a Thurs. night. It was unusually warm for Jan and we enjoyed sitting outside. Food, service and drinks were fabulous. We loved the butternut squash hand pies. Did not love the special of the night (fries covered in pulled pork. They became soggy under all the toppings). I would rate this visit a 5 star despite the fries. My 2nd visit was just 4 days later (Mon. 1-16-17). I had an out of town guest from New Zealand and took him to see the view. I had no idea that Mondays are “Vynal Nights”. They had a d.j. The music was loud and very techno.. (While not my thing, it was perfect for my 23 year old guest). Apparently they don’t have butternut squash in NZ so once again got the butternut squash pies along with the Boudin Balls. Food was excellent. Service was mediocre. My 3rd visit was late May. It was standing room only but got lucky and slid in some seats as others were leaving. We never had a waitress come by and finally ordered from the bar. The venison poppers were amazing! After 2 drinks and appetizer or 2 (with still no server in sight) we decided to leave and go around the corner to UP at which point, a server shows up. He quickly apologized for the lack of service and offered to fetch our tab from the bar. I thought about it after we left-- did he just get tipped for doing absolutely nothing?! I think so! With that said, I don’t blame the server for the bad service. It’s clearly poor management. It’s not rocket science. Hire more servers!

Was very excited to go here FINALLY, but was disappointed in a few things... one of our guests has celiacs disease and has to abide by strict gluten-free diet… After asking our server about your gluten-free options )there really aren't any), she settled on a burger with no bun. The rest of us ordered and enjoyed our drinks (which were great, btw) while waiting for our food. When the food came, hers did not come with everyone else's… It took about 7 to 9 minutes for hers to finally come and it was a burger on a bun. It's unacceptable IMO to not bring everyone's food at the same time, but then for it to be wrong... Also, she has asked about substituting the fries bc she doesn't like truffle... and was told that "regular" fries come with the burger... onlybto. E served truffle fries. The other guests said their food (another burger and some shrimp) was "meh." My hummus was okay, but I want expecting chorizo.
The atmosphere is fantastic... I'd come back... I'd just eat first.

Amazing drinks and the catfish was so good! It was raining so we didn't use the outdoor patio like I hoped. The views are still great from inside. I highly recommend L.A. Jackson. Can't wait to go back.

I love rooftop bars and this is my fav in Nashville!! I like the atmosphere, food, and drinks. I also like that they don’t play country music and use a DJ that plays good music. Love it!!

This was possibly the worst bar experience I've ever had. The lighting was off kilter, and the music was far too loud for any conversation beyond eye contact. The Springwater has a more elegant and welcoming atmosphere, albeit a simpler view. The manager and doormen wore ill-fitted mob suits which I thoroughly enjoyed. I will say our server was extremely knowledgeable and attentive, she went above and beyond and shined like a diamond in a trash can. 1/10 bad doggos, would not pet.

Great place relax and enjoy a great time with family and friends. Drinks and food were delicious and I will definitely go back.

Had my 40th birthday Celebration here and our waiter was awesome! Loved the music, food, view is awesome and whole atmosphere! Thank you L.A Jackson and Thompson Nashville hotel for allowing me to have an amazing birthday celebration experience!

Love the roof top bar! Such a good vibe and awesome view!

Great views, sleek decor and amazing frosé!! Food presentation was on point too.

I ordered Sangaria and it was the worst I ever had. The server forgot about us. Was not very attentive.
Michelle Foster
Beautiful view! Service, staff and drinks were on point.
Shellie Zenner Meeks
Beautiful view of Nashville, great drinks and appetizers, all the cool kids on a rooftop bar.
Jaclyn Ashford-Heim
I loved the location and music. Took a while to get a drink but overall great rooftop bar!!

Beautiful place. ...very friendly staff. ...great view of the city

I ordered a well vodka soda and was charged $15. If you enjoy an overrated atmosphere and rude bartenders (who inaccurately charge you), this place is perfect.
