Server McKenzie was so nice! She helped me choose my dinner as I usually have two options that I am stuck on. I had fettuccine noodles with pesto sauce, chicken, and sun dried tomatoes. It was tasty once I added a little salt but I do wish I would have chosen one of the lasagnas. The wine was fresh and very good. Overall I would definitely come back!
We had such a great experience here. I definitely recommend calling and making a reservation ahead of time as this place is tiny! It’s so cozy and quaint with just a few tables indoors. They have an enclosed patio as well as some tables outside also.
The bread was fine, pretty simple, with really delicious olive oil and seasoning to dip it in.
We ordered a Caesar salad which was really well prepared and would definitely order again.
For our entrees, I was stuck on which lasagna to get, and our server recommended the Nonna, which is a vegetable lasagna with butternut squash and spinach and it was SO good. We also ordered the meat lasagna, which was delicious also, but if you’re torn at all on which to get, I definitely would order the Nonna again.
Can’t wait to come back and try the mix and match pasta.
Loved the food!! Definitely recommend:) wanna go back with my close friends^^ the main hostess was very kind and patient. I didn’t know that you needed a reservation at night. It was so busy. Worth the wait. Pasta melts in your mouth ^^
The food was delicious! I had the Arancini for an appetizer and the lasagna nonna for my entree. That might have been the best Arancini I’ve ever had. I had a glass of rose’. Everything was great. I sat on the covered patio. It was perfect for a date night.
As usual, Caffe Nonna did not disappoint. The food was amazing and the service was good. The Feta cheese sticks baked in Phyllo dough were incredible. This is a neighborhood gem that I hope is around for a VERY long time!
Personally this is my favorite restaurant in Nashville. I have been many times and have never been let down. Every dish is an explosion of flavors. From the appetizers to the desserts. Here is what we tried this evening I highly recommend all of it.
Amazing food and amazing staff! Hands down the best Italian food I’ve had in Nashville. Highly recommend the tiramisu!
food was fantastic. I got the build your own pasta and the sundried tomato sauce was amazing!!! Our Server Charlie was Awesome too with some great recommendations. Atmosphere was nice and laid back, drinks were a bit pricey but thats Nashville for you.
Wednesday evening my work team enjoyed an “end of fiscal year” celebratory dinner after a two-day planning retreat to kick off our new year — we couldn’t have chosen a better plan than Caffé Nonna! A neighborhood restaurant that’s been around for nearly a quarter century surely has the experience and true charm to entertain you with a fantastic meal! We had the calamari (cooked to perfection) and the caprese salad with homegrown, fresh cut, yellow tomatoes to start. Simply gorgeous on the plate and on the taste buds! Everyone has a different entree…you’ll see they’re all plated to perfection and the me asks were excellent. We tried both versions of lasagna, the seafood pasta and the lamb shank (the meat fell right off the bone! We also enjoyed Cesar salads to start and cannoli to end. The atmosphere is so charming and the service was impeccable — something that’s rare to come by these days! Every part of this meal was superb and no details went unnoticed. I’ll be back — I’ll bring my team back. Caffé Nonna is truly a Nashville gem!
Monday night reservations led to a culinary experience we will never forget. We started with Roma Mussels and Arancini and had the Lamb Shank and Lasagna for mains. Look…I have had many meals over the last 30+ years, and this by far was my favorite meal in the last 20 years. I bought the kitchen a round of beers and thanked them for the wonderful journey they sent us on. Words and text cannot describe the flavors and love we experienced here. Please do yourself a favor and eat here if you can! Service and wine were beyond our expectations!
We got there a Wednesday, pretty chill and cozy, the bread was awful and I don’t understand why they haven’t changed it if they been saying for a really long time how bad is it? Anyways I ordered a vodka pasta and my brother ordered a white sauce, witch our server said it was the same as an Alfredo sauce, my pasta was delicious but it did have pretty big pieces of garlic and onion which didn’t really bother me, but it really did bother my brother that he’s had those pieces and a really big chunk of onion, and he said he’s pasta was kind of sweet and had a really weird flavor, he didn’t like it to the pint he didn’t even finish it but didn’t want to bother the chefs, so we ordered the tiramisu to get that bad taste away but to my surprise it was a really small serving for 8.50 dollars, you could it in 4-6 bites and it was kind of warm, soggy, and had wiped cream on the side, really poor presentation. But at least service was great.
Really cool and quaint spot for good Italian dishes. We had a larger group so it was a tight fit but this is a smaller restaurant, so understandable. Service was fine.
Food was really good and no complaints for the group. I don't usually care for the build your own pasta dishes but the sever was helpful and made some suggestions. Dessert (Tiramisu) was fantastic.
I used to live in Sylvan Park, and Cafe Nonna was one of my all-time favorites. Unfortunately, we now live in Franklin and I rarely get over there, but our recent visit has renewed my interest. I’ll definitely be back more often and add it back into my rotation. I absolutely love the intimate setting in delicious food. The feel of it reminds me of the sidewalk café vibe in a large city. Glad to see Seafood Angelina was still on the menu!
Awesome place. My wife and I walked in to see if they had an opening for 2 early since we had surprise babysitting from family and they sat us right away. All of the staff was nice and talkative, the owner even came up to spend time getting to know us. The atmosphere was inviting and had the same feeling as if you were dining in a cafe in Italy
Cafe nonna is a much needed dinner spot and the food was absolutely delicious. We loved everything we tried.. I highly recommend their arancini appetizer!
Greeted by laid back but very hospitable staff! Made my first time visiting welcoming and relaxed, the service from the door to seated to served to thanked for coming was delightful. Scallops “chefs kiss” and cooked beautifully.
Small, intimate place - perfect for dates. Lasagna Bolognese was solid - locally made pasta and grass fed beef. Mix & match pasta has so many variations and possibilities - perfect for the picky eater or Italian food pro. The Tuscan White Bean soup is special and a definite recommendation.
Super-Fine neighborhood Italian eatery. Excellent mainly north Italian cuisine--don't miss the braised Tuscan lamb shank! Great wine list with a choice array of well-selected Italian reds and whites with decent prices by the glass or bottle. Check out the superb Italian sweet wines on the desert menu! There's currently even a Malavasia Della Lippari--very rarely found on US wine lists. (Delicious!) Highly competent, professional, and attentive wait staff eager to please (Tip them accordingly!) Great range of pasta dishes including a build your own option fairly priced. What's not to love?? Go already!

Great little neighborhood restaurant . Pasta and sauce were very tasty. Our party all had different salads and large enough to share. Highly recommend this quaint place.
