We went on Friday buffet night. The selection was wonderful. The food was flavorful. My wife had the buffet and ordered lamb off the menu, as well - all was well prepared and presented. Amy came around to each table and offered fresh vegan chocolate cake - it was a wonderful ending to a GREAT meal. Highly recommend this place. We will return often!!

This place is my new favorite spot. The owners are the nicest people. The atmosphere is very friendly. I can see myself coming to this place for a lazy Sunday brunch many times. I had the beef nibs, which were fantastic. Very tasty and fresh ingredients. The coffee is amazing. It's the real stuff, not the watered down Starbucks stuff most people like. I'm coming back to this place very soon.

Our family has dined at Amy's Ethiopian Restaurant twice & both times our meals were amazing! We have ordered the 2 meat sampler which is plenty for our family of four ( two adults & two kids). The chicken and beef are wonderful and our favorite veggies are the ater (split pea stew) and shiro (chick pea stew). Our 9 year old loves the dinich wot (potato stew). The Injera bread is so delicious! After dinner, I really enjoyed a cup of the coffee. It is seriously the best I've had at a restaurant or coffee shop in Nashville. Finally, I want say that the staff at Amy's Ethiopian Restaurant are so friendly and welcoming. I recommend going there for lunch or dinner if you want a truly delicious meal!

First time trying Ethiopian. I likes the experience of using the Injera instead of utensils to pick up food, but the spongy texture of weird and after a while I just couldn't handle the sour taste anymore.

First time eating Ethiopian cuisine and I was very pleasantly surprised. Lightly spicy that builds on the palate and at the back of your mouth. Appetizer was a Sambusa - a fried meat filled pastry with a tomato chili dipping sauce. Light pastry, savory beef, yum. I had the Alicha Wot (lamb stew) and the flatmate had the Key Wot (beef stew). My side was lentils and his was potato stew. They come on Injera bread which is an interesting, spongy crepe like pancake that is both wrap and utensil. Here’s the breakdown: Lovely, enticing aromas +1 star; great music (I love reggae) +1 star; delicious appetizer +1 star; fast and friendly service +1 star; awesome main course +1 star. I will, 100%, go back

This is my second time eating Ethiopian food. The first was right outside the country of Ethiopia so I feel as though I know good and authentic Ethiopian food. Is the food authentic? Yes, very authentic. If you haven't tried this type of food before then be ready for a great mixture of spices/seasonings. Also don't expect silverware. They give you a spongy bread that you tear off and grab and dab the food. Is the food good? Yes, very good. I tried the main lamb entree and the all vegetarian platter. Both were very pleasant. This place also offers a vegan buffet Friday evenings.

I've been wanting to check this spot out for a while now and recently had the opportunity. Started with the lentil sambusa, then had the chicken tibs awaze. OMG! So good. So glad to have this gem in the area.

The buffet is amazing. And the food to order is so good that I can't keep my eyes open as I'm eating it. I like it spicy and they can definitely do that for you. They are very respectful of your privacy. And very family-friendly accordingly. I prefer the green tea smoothie. But you'll never taste anothers smoothie than what they serve. So many options. And the ambiance is very comforting.

Great family owned restaurant with great food. Since I am Vegan I love that they have a Vegan/Vegetarian friendly menu. They even offer a Vegan buffet every Friday evening. I’ve tried a few other Ethiopian restaurants but none seem to measure up to Amy’s taste wise. I usually try to visit them at least once a week.

Every time I've been here, I've had the pleasure of being served by Amy and her husband. They are about the nicest folks I've ever met. More than happy to hang out and talk and answer questions. And they both seem to genuinely want to give a great experience as well as great food. And the food is great. Its delicious, freshly prepared, and the portions are huge.

5 stars all the way. The atmosphere is clean, the food is delicious, and trust me when I tell you, the service and people in there are as kind as can be. They always offer to help us to the car with our To-Go boxes. If you get the chance you need to check this place out! Ethiopian food is incredibly underrated and under the radar. By far the best cultural food I have had.

I've eaten here a few times, it's a lovely family run business. The decor may need a refresh but the restaurant is always clean and tidy. I normally order the Awaze Tibs and a coffee. As well as the food that they serve, they also sell some produce, like Ethiopian Yirgacheffe Coffee Beans (which is my favorite).

My first Ethiopian experience, and I was swept away by the unique and distinct flavors. I could rave on and on about the food or surprisingly large wine selection, but the service is why I'm writing the review. The friendly man working was extremely helpful when I was trying to pick out my dinner. I am grateful for his sincere kindness. I personally don't care for onions, which I know can be frustrating for the food industry, but he catered to my preferences and didn't make me feel like I inconvenienced him. This place may be easy to pass by, but please stop in and try an amazing cup of coffee, glass of wine, or take the family in for dinner!!

Very good Ethiopian food. The coffee is amazing. I'm so glad we went here. I love Ethiopian food and I was not disappointed here. The restaurant is very clean and welcoming. The service was great. We order the vegetarian combo. There is also a vegan buffet on Friday's that I really want to try. This a definite must try. You won't be disappointed!

I discovered this place about 3 years ago. It changed my life! So good. I swear you can taste the love in every bite. Not kidding. I'm pretty sure that the first time I ate there I teared up a little. Such awesome food. Underrated place for sure.

On fridays they have vegan buffet(the best one). Family owned and operated restaurant. They are very friendly. Every time we go there and we get the same quality food and service. We drive other side of the city just because of their friendly face and being one of the restaurants who accommodates vegans really well!
