One of the best meat and three I've had. Great variety, good price, and awesome staff that make you feel right at home. The food reminds me of my grandmother's southern comfort food. Definitely a must if you like home cooking without the dishes.

The Pie Wagon is awesome, I can't say enough good things about this delightful establishment. The food was amazing, and the staff were so friendly. I was in there this weekend, I wanted to try something new and I am so glad I tried this place out. This will definitely be a place I recommend to anyone visiting Nashville, and a place I intend to return to whenever I'm in town. Keep being wonderful.

This is a terrific restaurant for comfort food. Had grilled chicken fresh off the smoker outside on the weekend - delicious. Would have had the smoked ribs, but we were going to Martin’s that evening so I didn’t want to duplicate. The owner (very cordial & friendly) heard us discussing it and said he would put his ribs up against Martin’s any time. We ended up getting a small portion of ribs to try so we could compare. Wellll, he was right! The ribs at Pie Wagon are to die for. Real smoky flavor, extremely tender meat that fell off the bone, and just flat outstanding. The ribs at Martins were smoky too, but they were covered with the dry rub that had just been sprinkled on top, and they were not tender at all. All of the others in our party of three agreed that Martin’s ribs were a cut below those at Pie Wagon. Also, the pinto beans at Pie Wagon are better than Martin’s - they are cooked very well and seasoned just enough to give you the option of how much more hot sauce, if any, you want to add. Martin’s beans are highly spiced to start with so not much ability to dial it down. Conclusion: check out the Pie Wagon for delicious food & some of the best ribs in town.

All of the others in our party of three agreed that the ribs were so awesome check out the Pie Wagon for delicious food & some of the best ribs in town.

My first time visiting Pie Wagon was today, very pleased with the service and more importantly the food. !! I had collard greens, sweet potatoes, macaroni and cheese, hot water cornbread and country fried Steak , one word description.. Delicious ❤ the meat was very tender and wonderfully seasoned, so was the rest of my food. I give my experience there a 5⭐ I'll definitely make it a place that I'll eat on the Regular !! It reminded me of my grandmothers cooking ❤xoxo

Went in with an appetite, left out with the perfect full stomach. The classic meat and 3 plate right in the center of Nashville. I would reccomend the Mac and Cheese, it wasn't too watery (like soup) or too thick (like cake). Smiling faces, clean tables and fresh food. Ain't no complaints (Drake Voice).

My all-time favorite place to eat in Nashville. When I worked nearby here, I generally ate lunch there 3 or 4 times a week until 2006 when I moved. Wish I worked closer to this place so I could have continued to be a regular! I read that today, April 27, 2018 is this legendary restaurant's last day in business, and I am sad but thankful for all the years I was able to patronize this awesome food place. Among my favorite things they served were sauerkraut and sausage (the best sauerkraut ever!), jalapeno cornbread, pork tenderloin, turnip greens (with just a little spinach in them), and everything else. Here's wishing the best to all the folks who ran this place, and thank you for doing what you did so well for all those years. Pie Wagon was Nashville's second oldest restaurant, and it is a sad day for long time Nashvillians.

I highly recommend the Pie Wagon for a delicious lunch served cafeteria style. Forget fast food, the Pie Wagon offers a variety of meats and vegetables served hot and ready to eat. The staff is warm and friendly making the entire experience a pleasant one. You'll be back often.

I've eaten at The Pie Wagon here and previous location for over 30 years. Quality of the food, as well as the service, is as good or better bargain than at any "meat & 3" in Nashville. Parking a bit iffy sometimes but worth the trouble.

Friendly people, good southern food served cafeteria style. This is where the construction workers were all coming for lunch, so a followed them in. Not trendy or upscale, although clean and had some pretty cool local art on the wall for sale.
