Haven't had anything here that I don't love. The staff is amazing, professional and efficient. Everything is homemade! Their biscuits are from scratch. Their hashbrown casserole makes your mouth water. Bacon is perfect. Eggs are perfect. Their gravy has some sweet to it but you can tell it's made from the same flour as the biscuits. Patio, inside, it's all fantastic. And, you can bring well-behaved dogs to the patio!
The line looks long, but it is worth the wait! And the line goes quickly and food arrives pretty quickly too. A small but definitely growing little business. Bringing everyone I know to this place! And they cater, so may need to utilize that when it comes time to pick a weddinh caterer lol
I would give SideKicks Cafe a 10-star rating if I could. Visiting from Nebraska, we stumbled upon this little gem while looking for coffee. We were pleasantly surprised not only with the variety of specialty of coffees, but also southern hospitality, homemade food, and a cozy environment. We purchased our coffee and breakfast to-go. We were so impressed with our services and food that we brought the rest of our party back the following morning for breakfast. The fresh-baked muffins and biscuits were amazing as well as the frittata! We thoroughly enjoyed visiting with the staff and local patrons. Can't wait to return the next time we visit Nashville!!
I never write reviews, but this one was so great I had to share. Everything we had to eat was wonderful and very affordable. So excited to know we have a place like this in the neighborhood. My fiancé and I tested the hash brown casserole, a bacon egg and cheese biscuit, and the pancake puff things. I don't remember the name but you will see them on the menu! Sooooo gooooood. We ended up buying muffins and scones to go for breakfast the next day and they didn't disappoint. Some of them didn't even make it to breakfast the next day because we ate them in the car! I have guests coming to town next weekend and I know where we're going for breakfast �
Ive been working in Madison for a little over a month now and luckily I stumbled upon this place. Its hands down the best spot to eat in Madison. The food is always perfect and the staff is very friendly.
Our family comes here every Saturday morning. Always a full menu for all the operating hours. Great staff, great food,great choice of beverages too. A place you won’t soon forget as you will come back in the near future.
My husband and I just moved to Madison and had our first breakfast here, so glad we did, the jumbo frittata muffin was amazeballs and the hashbrown casserole tastes just like my mom's scalloped potatoes
Could use a splash of colour outside, patio tables with umbrellas (weren't set up) some more themed rooms (loved the fireplace side), maybe a weekly open mic (I'd be willing to host!)
Also wanted to suggest replacing wooden stir sticks with uncooked pasta like linguine, it works and cuts down on waste!

Very impressed. We stopped by and got a biscuit sandwich and some biscuits and gravy (also some coffee). So good! And such a friendly staff! I have a new breakfast spot when I come to visit Nashville.

Since I was in Nashville, I decided to eat things for lunch that I would never eat, or maybe even have access to, at a place in St. Louis: housemade pimento cheese and pink stuff. Yep.
I got a pimento cheese and bacon sandwich on toasted sourdough, and it was pretty darned good! The bacon was super crunchy next to the creamy pimento cheese, the lettuce on top was fresh and crisp, there was also a tomato on it, and it all made my mouth very happy. I still can’t get over how very crunchy, but not burnt, the bacon was! It made the sandwich.
Sadly, after I placed my order online, I got a call saying that they were out of pink stuff. How can you be out of pink stuff? What is pink stuff? I guess I will never know!!
I substituted a fresh made cherry turnover instead, which I ended up being very happy with. The pastry was soft, moist and flaky, and it was filled with real cherry filling, not that bright red gooey stuff you sometimes find such things.
My order was brought out to my car quickly after I arrived, and the waitress was wearing a mask, which I found satisfying.
Fantastic food and very friendly service. Music selection is fantastic as well. Very clean restaurant. You can tell the employees take pride in what they do.
I wrote this review before I ate lunch here, the first time I ever sat down and ate here. I would like to add that the service is absolutely outstanding!
Best coffee I have ever had (southern pecan is my favorite so far), food and service is always great as well. I wish I found this place sooner, only been about 3 times now. I live in NC but travel to Nashville several times a year and this is now a favorite spot. I need to try and order the coffee online because it is always a little depressing when I run out and am not going to Nashville soon.
I normally have a good experience here, but today was a little off. I ordered 2 drinks and 2 muffins. Apparently, the flavor of muffin I wanted was not available, and a substitution was made. Cool. But I wasn't contacted (via a phone call) about the substitution. I called and let them know what happened, and the lady I spoke to was very nonchalant about it, and didn't even offer to have me come in and get the flavor I wanted at a later date. Call people and make sure they're ok with the substitution please!
***I also waited quite a while for my order, and when the person sauntered out to give it to me, there was no apologies for the wait***
Here for the first time and this place is super quaint and I can tell it is run and operated by someone that loves what they do. Coffee is great and I got the Loaded Biscuit with Country Ham and it was out of this world. The biscuit was made from scratch and the meat is local. Highly recommend for a small local restaurant experience.
A nice southern style cafe. The staff was friendly and the food was alright. They have indoor and outdoor sitting. You clean up after yourself when you are done eating which is different but I was o.k with that.
Amazing people, service, location and food. Couldn't ask for more in a place to relax and have a good time.
