Checked the place out last weekend and was pleasantly surprised! Our server, Lori, was very friendly, welcoming, and attentive. A+ service! The food was absolutely delicious! The menu was more unique than the usual breakfast choices, and they served us a small plate of fresh fruit and banana bread as soon as we sat down; which won me over instantly. Nice little touch!
My only complaint was the condition of the menu and way it was stapled together. Nothing against a paper menu, many places do it, but I think it could be improved. The food looks great here, and I think they should consider adding photos to their menu of some of the more unique and impressive items.
It's exciting to see a great small business like this in the area. Looking forward to our next meal here!
I highly recommend this place for breakfast! Lots of good options, great food and friendly service.
My family was there today for breakfast. This was our first time, but we've lived in New Berlin 8 years...can't believe we haven't been there sooner. A very welcoming gentleman greeted us right away as well as his family. Very friendly. We were promptly seated (even though they were busy). The food was really great and a lot of breakfast options. Waitstaff was also friendly and prompt. Will be back
Floor Coverings International had a great experience with our catering from Sunny Side Up! They just completed serving for our South Suburban Chamber of Commerce business breakfast. It was great to have the awesome breakfast we're used to at the restaurant travel to our location! We highly recommend them for catered events!

Amazing food! Great portions and laid back atmosphere. Excellent service. Best place in New Berlin for breakfast.
Perfect little cafe! Great and inviting atmosphere right when you walk in. The staff, including the owner Lee, is unbelievably welcoming and friendly. The food was excellent and the prices were good. Solid portions for every item! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who lives in the area and can't wait to come back and visit for a weekend brunch!
This is my favorite breakfast joint, never had bad or lagged service, but I am conscious of how good it is and how busy it can be so I try to get there by 8:30a at the latest.
There was a miscommunication and my breakfast mate never showed up. I was seated right next to the register and between the cashier and my waitress I never felt alone.
Going the extra mile was very sweet and considerate.
Food goes without saying, there should be 10 .
Sunday morning at 10AM.. seated within 5 minutes (2 of us)... friendly and attentive service. Love the kids menu options. Delicious biscuits and gravy. Clean, delicious, great atmosphere I could not ask for more and can't wait to go back! Doreen was a wonderful server.
What a great place! My husband and I had such a wonderful breakfast! Everything tasted so good and the service was excellent! New Berlin has a gem of a restaurant! We will definitely be back soon!
Great diner. There are many unique offerings on the menu using quality ingredients. Yukon gold potatoes were underseasoned, but still delicious. I will be returning to try it again, perhaps to try lunch next time.

Wow! Delicious, adorable, and super friendly staff (Halle is awesome!)! The owner walked in and was thanking all the customers for our support during this time. He also mentioned they installed special UV lights which kill the virus to ensure our safety and comfort. I ordered the Garden Benny and it was amazing, delicious and beautifully presented. My first time having yukes (smashed Yukon potatoes) and they were great as well. A more than pleasant experience and I highly recommend supporting this lovely mom & pop cafe in New Berlin!
Open for business, everything is socially distanced and the employees are wearing the necessary PPE.
Our server Faye was great and had great recommendations!
The food was excellent! My wife had the scrambler it was awesome. Highly recommend getting the gravy on the side, it's damn good.
I had the breakfast burrito, it was huge. Just enough spice to make your mouth hot and plenty of flavor!
We live right down the street and have never been here, we're glad everything was delicious and that we could support our local community business!
Let me start by saying I don’t often try new places and with the Peach Tree closed we looked to see the closest place with breakfast which brought us to Sunny Side Up Cafe.
As soon as we walked in we were greeted happily by employees!
The menu has plenty of wonderful options
The staff was outstanding
The food was full of flavor and portions may be huge but the leftovers still tasted amazing!
We will definitely be returning (possibly every Sunday!!)
As sad as I am that peach tree is closed, I am happy that it forced me to try a new place... definitely my new favorite!!!!
Love this local restaurant. Food and service are top notch! Lee the owner is a wonderful guy. This is a go-to spot for us and we are so happy to have it in the community and support local! Keep up the great work.
This was an unexpected, but very pleasurable first time experience. I've driven past this little restaurant at various times over the past few years, but I never seemed to have time to stop. Tnoday I did. Only open for breakfast and lunch (although talking to the owner and the chef they will be opening for a few evenings in the near future). I asked the waitress for a recommendation for my breakfast, her suggestion was for biscuits and gravy, eggs and a strip of bacon. I enjoyed my meal (FYI: the sausage gravy is made on the premises) eggs were over medium, no snotty whites but with runny yolks, the bacon was crisp not hard, thick cut Jones cherry smoked bacon the biscuits we're good, the gravy was tasty, with a hint of spice, an ample amount of pepper, and sufficient quantity to satisfy anyone. My only negative comment would be that the roux for the gravy could have been cooked a little longer.
The waitress/hostess was friendly and sat me immediately. I also met the owner who was also very open and personable. I plan on returning next week to try some other selections. I really enjoyed the experience.
Wonderful hidden gem with great, unique options and great, local coffee. Four stars instead of five because the menu, although extensive and awesome, does not have much lighter fare.
Covid did not their ship! Friendly dining, down home cooking, and tastes great. Fish on Fridays superb any way you want it
