First visit today and I love it already! The outside deck is great and roomy and is Dog Friendly. The hostess was friendly and cool. Our server- Kierra was great! She brought Chop a cool water bowl and Monica and I a cold beer. She explained the specials that made me excited. We got the smoked rib special appetizer and it was great and full of great flavor. I got the New Bern Seafood Boil - and it was off the hook great!! Monica got the Southern Tradition sandwich - Pimento Cheese and ham and maters on some cool bread. My dish was out of this world great! I wanted to order a 55 gallon drum of it to go. I'm impressed and liked some items I saw on the menu that I hope to try soon. I'll be back. I bet soon I'll make it 5 stars. I hope they do a great business - it is a great place for Down Town New Bern. I posted photos.

Service by Hannah was outstanding. NC oysters were great and price was excellent. My New Zealand wine was very good and priced well. My husband's Manhattan however was very mediocre and WAY over priced. Will return for oysters and wine but never anything from the bar!

Have yet to try the oysters. Our first visit was last week and we each got the Reuben. Most excellent pastrami Reuben. Great service. Nice atmosphere. Definitely a bar and definitely a restaurant upstairs. Worth a visit.

Quaint house turned restaurant, close to the waterfront. There's a bar downstairs, and table seating upstairs overlooking the street. Lots of interesting architecture all over town, and I can't help but wonder about the people who lived where I was eating. My children really wanted to explore the attic, which was locked in the ceiling of the upstairs room we were in. Food was fantastic! I had a sandwich on crusty bread, and the spicy, sweet pickles served with it tasted homemade.

Very nice restaurant with good atmosphere. Sandwich's and seafood that we have tried have all been very good. Sometimes a bit disorganized as far as seating due to layout of the house but they make it work.

Best sandwiches in new Bern. Always fresh, great portions. My favorite is the God Mother, my husbands is the God Father. When the weather is nice, the deck is great. If not, they have seats at a bar and you can watch whatever game is on and there’s some seating upstairs as well.

Great sandwiches in a old colonial hour. Good beer list and fresh seafood. Others may have more seafood options, but the sandwiches are great. Indoor and outdoor seating depending on weather.

This place was really cool. Bar downstairs seating upstairs almost like you were eating at someone's home. Great seafood and the sandwiches are great too. Really big fresh oysters!

We had a marvelous time, incredible mussels, shrimp and salad. And a wonderfully delightful and attentive waitress who knew her menu and answered all our questions. I would return and recommend this spot wholeheartedly.

My first visit yesterday and I had the Antipasta Salad -- WOW! This had a perfect blend of flavors and textures, with fresh greens, banana peppers, roasted red peppers, black olives and deli meats. I may have to have it again. . . although other items on the menu looked equally inviting. This is definitely more of a lunch/supper place than dinner, but it's got a nice vibe. I'll be going back for more!
