This was my first time trying these sandwiches and it was amazing. It was absolutely a whole meal in a sandwich (including an appetizer). I got the Fat Vastardi which is gyro meat, chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks, French fries, lettuce, tomato and tzaziki sauce. I also added a fried egg. It was awesome!

This place tastes like my husband's college memories if that was a dish you could eat. We visited with our children and ate veggie (me) and classic ( husband and kids) and chicken ( husband and kids) fat cats. I had an opportunity to have a fat cat at an actual grease truck many years ago when were first married. The sandwiches were just as delicious this time as they were then. While the store front doesn't quite replicate the grease truck experience, there is information posted about the grand Rutgers tradition. Food is plentiful, satisfying, and nostalgic all at once. I imagine this is the ideal lunch for active college men.

I am attend Rutgers for a second master's degree, and I also got my first master's degree here. The fat sandwiches and the gyro/chicken platters are absolutely delicious. The restaurant owner is a great person and I like giving business to him. Given the New Brunswick area culturally diverse in terms of food, and I enjoy trying food from all over the world, I find it interesting to hear some Middle Eastern music playing in the background at this restaurant.

R U Hungry is a great place to go if you want two meals for the price of one or are simply incredibly hungry. Home of the fat sandwich, this place completely lives up to the mental image that a place known as "home of the fat sandwich" brings to mind. There are healthy options, but they're probably not worth your time. Would highly recommend.

Good times here. Great sandwiches, but they do up-charge for credit/debit card use which to me is odd in today's times. Also once I was yelled at by a staff member for taking a fork for my sandwich, which I thought was odd because they're usually well filled so things do fall out, and I have the right to eat as I want. But overall I still give it a high rating because the sandwiches are very good.
