Excellent place, and highly recommend this place, lot's of options, some nice daily specials, and 2 for 1 drinks is a real nice bonus. I had the tuna melt..

Excellent fresh baked warm bread with seasoned butter! Our waitress, Catie, is absolutely a gem! She got our orders absolutely perfect, a cheery sweet demeanor, and absolutely kind! I loved how taken care of we were. She was super likeable and great at her job. I hope to come back soon! The food,of course, was phenomenal.
Used to be a huge favorite of mine, but they fell off for a couple years with food quality. Very happy to say that it seems they are back to their good days. Great food, good deals, excellent staff (blonde waitress with the nose ring was one of the best waitresses I've had anywhere in a long time), nice atmosphere. Even when it's fairly busy, which is often, the food is out relatively quick & the service is good. They often have happy hour specials on drinks and appetizers like buy one get one free. Their fried calamari is one of my favs around. Good choice for a variety of occasions and diners, including just going out for drinks.

To put in bluntly...Carmella's is a great place to eat!! Excellent food, great service, with an extensive menu, best describes this eatery in Utica, NY, that's been around a long time!! Longtime General Manager Mr. Dino LaBarbera constantly finds the best people to work at Carmella's! I enjoy Sunday morning breakfast at Carmella's, as well as great food anytime in the day or evening! Today, I had Margie for my Sunday morning breakfast!! She was very friendly, quick, accurate, with a smile! If I was a teacher, I'd give her an A+. Then again, all of the servers at Carmella's are excellent! Remember folks..."Every night's a Carmella's night!!". Thanks Dino and Mr. Ezzo, and all of the cooks, servers, and staff at Carmella's!
