Mamoun's Falafel - New Haven - Photo album

Based on the reviews, we were looking forward to eating at Mamoun’s but the place didn’t meet our expectations. The receptionist was not friendly and directed us to a computer screen to place our take-away order. The portions were disappointingly small for a ME restaurant with smaller pita loaves an
When I spend $100 (delivery and tip included) on Falafel dinner - I expect it to be really good! Me being Mamoun’s customer for 12 yrs really disappointed. The main ingredient of Baba Ganouj is eggplant, it was so much tahini and bit of eggplant I hardly tasted the eggplant! Rice is halfway cooked.
I went here for a lemonade and a dessert. The reason I gave this restaurant 2 stars was because the lemonade was actually good. The customer service however was terrible. Some of these bad reviews are really reaching…please don’t be discouraged-I urge you to try. Our food was great as per usual. 4 falafel sandwiches, Syrian rice, stuffed grape leaves and of course a mango juice. We inhaled it all. Sam our waitress was awesome. Made our experiencing that much better :
Hands down the best Arabic food you’ll find in CT. Been coming here since I was a child and they leave me full and happy everytime. Also the Turkish coffee will send you up the wall, just make sure to pair it with a pistachio Turkish delight!
