I just moved to the neighborhood and really excited about this place. It has most everything to cook an Asian dish, Japanese, Korean, Indian, maybe even Sri Lankan... Prices are inexpensive and the staff is extremely friendly. The fresh produce is good looking and fresh and the ready made food is tasty. I can see myself popping in here everyday.

This is hands down a 6 Star place. This is one of the few places I’ve ever debated about putting up a review, because I’m afraid the business will get too good and I won’t be able to eat there myself. Love, love this joint. Not just a tiny asian supermarket, but just the best Bibimbop in town. No shade to other places, this place is just that great. I’m sad Google will round this down to 5 stars.

Literally this is the best Kimchi I have ever tried. Although there is not any label, you can definitely tell that it was hand made by the nice Korean Ajumma. As an Asian I find myself quite fond of this traditional Korean food. The Bibimbap was fresh and absolutely delicious. Not sure if it's the best one in town but it was not too sweet nor too salty. However it would be better if the portion was bigger. Maybe more rice would do the work.

Was looking for a super hard to find ingredient for a meal. Looked through just about every Asian market/grocery store in the state. This little tiny shop ACTUALLY HAD IT unlike G-Mart or H-Mart! I was so excited to just pick it up. Friendly service, Mrs. Kim was busy with something but made sure to say hi to me. I'll be sure to try some of the dishes to eat inside.

So much high quality stuff packed into so little space. This is the oldest Asian grocery in New Haven, and the woman who owns it knows every price of every item by heart and makes a mean eel bibimbap. I love the handwritten labels explaining what stuff is and the little section of dining sets.

Cute little Asian shop with very reasonable prices. Everything is organized with care with hand labeled signs and process. The selection is limited, but there are a wide range of spices, noodles, and sauces available, along with some home kitchen/bath items, and very basic produce. The Korean lady running the shop is very kind and reminds me a bit of my mother in law. Haven't had the famous bimbimbop but plan on coming back for it some time soon. I definitely feel good shopping here to support local business, especially during covid times

Awesome food. Kim, the owner and chef is very friendly and willing to explain everything- offering uniquely personal and caring service. The shoppe’s atmosphere, selection of teas, decor, and international foods and spices all comes together to make a great experience.
