This restaurant has a nice interior courtyard for al fresco dining as well as the regular dining room and bar. It is not loud, so when you want a break from frenetic activity and music, this is the spot. To sweeten the deal they have twice daily bacon Happy Hours.(afternoon 4p-6 and 10p-12) We ate 2 dinners here and a lunch and came for appetizers a few times. Seafood dishes were exquisite and their rack of lamb was the best I've had in years. My friend and I threw caution to the wind and shared desert twice--excellent. Carrie was the manager and by the end of our trip she felt like a friend and gave us hugs.We can't wait to return!
First time in the French quarter. I had the best filet I have had I a very long time. We were the guys with the purple shirts. The food is absolutely amazing the staff is wonderful and to top it all off the have a waitress by the name of Mary. You need to be seated with her as she is the most delightful persons to talk to. Great recommendations and was perfect in every way.

The food is amazing. Every time we come I get the warm goat cheese salad. Highly recommend that and the crab cakes. Ask to sit in the courtyard if space is available.
Story checks out. It's good. Romantic atmosphere. Good service. Good drinks. Mellow escape from the street.
My friend and I came here on a recommendation telling us to 'try the bread pudding'. We has dinner here and were blown away. Simple, but done right. Courtyard gave lovely ambiance, and the food was to die for. Gumbo was excellent (wish I had more) and the crab cakes were light and not fishy. Paired well with navel orange. The duck salad was fresh and enjoyed, and the scallops were fantastic (despite my friend not being a fan of blueberries, she loved the reduction). We would so come here again and can't rave anymore than we did. By the way, the bread pudding is to die for.
Wine flights are a great way to try new wines. Ravioli is very good, also angus medallions.
A great experience. Food, staff , and setting were perfect .
Stumbled in one afternoon looking for a good bowl of gumbo. Though worthy of a dressy night out, we were in shorts & sneakers & received friendly service. Shared the gumbo, barbeque shrimp & saffron mussels, plus a lovely dry rose for about $65, plus tip. Delicious! We came back twice during our vacation & spent more for a full dinner. Great location between Bourbon & Royal, lovely courtyard seating, & the rounded wooden bar inside is beautiful.
This place is a hidden gem. The crab cakes are the best I have ever had. The cheese board is always fresh and amazing. Fresh bread. Steak is fantastic. Wine selection is great and they have plenty of beer and liquor options. Service is superb. Upscale casual and very laid back at the same time. You'll fit right in whether youre wearing jeans or nice slacks. I have never sat at a table as I prefer the bar but Ive never seen anyone leave with a frown on their face. I honestly don't see how it could get any better than this.
Fantastic food and always request Dawn!! She is our fave in NOLA!
Charming!. A cute, quiet find in the FQ. Excellent service, wine list and atmosphere. The crab cakes were scrumptious with tons of crabmeat. The patio was very nice, my friend and I felt that we were in a movie about eating in the FQ. Loved it!
OMG! Ask for Brittany, Have the lamb with the Velvet Devil Merlot! Save room for Cheesecake! Die happy after!
Love This Place. This is one of my absolute favorite places in the French Quarter. Tucked away near the St. Louis Cathedral is the out of the way gem. The gumbo is absolutely delicious. I have never ordered anything that was not 100% perfection. Top you meal off with a french pressed coffee. Ahh, your taste buds will thank you.
Now on my top 5 list of favorite FQ restaurants. Atmosphere is quiet and quaint. The servers are friendly and knowledgeable and the food is outstanding. We started with the cheese board which had a Brie on there, not a big fan of Brie but this one was excellent. I had the rack of lamb which was the most outstanding piece of lamb I've had since we stopped raising them on our farm over twenty years ago. Lamb is tricky and many places will try and serve mutton because it's cheaper. This place doesn't do that so I was impressed. We finished with a house sorbet that was outstanding and refreshing finish on the already hot summer evening even though it was only the end of May. Defiantly worth the money.
Don't tell anyone. Our favorite place to eat. We split our time between San Francisco, Lake Tahoe and the Desert and each place has some wonderful restaurants, but, none more enjoyable than the Grapevine. I love all the dishes; my husband keeps ordering the pork chop. He eats the whole thing...which is huge. Friendly staff will bring you their daily bread special (everyday day is different) to sample. Best part? It's not so crowded...please, don't tell anyone about Grapevine!
Romantic and cozy. We've eaten here many times and love the food. Wine list is extensive. Quite often the owners are around and come by your table to make sure everthing is enjoyable and you're enjoying yourself. (1 complaint about anything and they are all ears- they take there reputation and your opinion seriously.) In the warm weather we enjoy sitting streetside or in the courtyard. My favorites are the surf and tuff and I've had all of the appitizers - yummy! I've never met a local who doesn't LOVE this place and recommended to many tourists who tell me it exceeded their expectations. I just wished they would open for lunch or earlier in the day.
Wine Flights at the BAR Rack of Lamb. Stop by for a trio of tastings at the Bar DAY OR NIGHT.
We tasted the Pinots this visit. Several choices of dinners or apps available to compliment our wine tastings.. Had the Beef witha rich creamy sauce with mushrooms. Rack of lamb looked great and will be our match for the next flight of reds, Tucked out of the way, some street side tables. and with a Player Piano in the bar.
Good wine list with many reasonably priced wines by the glass. Food and ambiance are excellent too. Feels like a good French bistro with a touch of Creole charm. There is a great courtyard out the back!
Excellent all around. We had dinner last night at Orleans Grapevine and had a wonderful evening. The food was great, the atmosphere was wonderful with great old songs from the player piano in the backround and our server was attentive and freindly. They were not crowed and when we asked to hold dessert so we we could take our time and finished our wine while we played name that tune on the piano there was no problem. They also have a nice courtyard for those who like outside dining. The wine list is extensive and reasonably priced. Entree's are 25 to 30 dollars but served with sides and you don't leave hungry.
Best place for first date!. I took my date to this place and we loved it. The food is great and the atmosphere is even better. It was so good that we actually went there for our second date!
How do you NOT like this place?. The wine, the food, the atmosphere, the service... everything here is wonderful!
The Grapevine Resturant in New Orleans. I own a bistro and we enjoy the Grapevine everytime we visit NOLA. Food is fab, service is great and we love the cozy atmosphere. I've noticed the locals eat there and that is where anyone wants to eat.
Awesome!!!!!. This quaint little French Quarter bistro has an impeccable selection of wines, an amazing menu with unique flavors, and a phenomenal amount of character. This restaurant is on the quiet side of the quarter. It was not crowded and I found it a nice relaxing place to eat and have a great meal. This would be a nice place for a romantic dinner but is still a good place for friends. Thought not seated in the courtyard, I'm sure it would very nice from the looks of it! The wait staff was excellent and helpful. Our table had the baked brie with roasted garlic for the app, rack of lamb and fillet/lobster entrees, and desserts of creme brulee and bread pudding. Everything was great and the wines we had were all very good (some were the suggested wine for the food). Just beware if you are there with a small group, they don't split the check and don't do reservations. I definitely enjoyed this little hidden bistro and would love to go back!
Best place you've never eaten at.... Really good-seriuosly. its not well known, but its very good w/ a nice wine list and menu. lovely
Foodies hangout! The waitstaff works as a team to keep customers from waiting. You are served a complimentary bread and a daily special butter that is to die for! Menu faves of mine would be an appetizer of angus medallions in a Marsala sauce with a side of asiago grits topped. With onion crisps, spinach and goat cheese salad with grapes, a cheese board that can be paired with wines, and any of their desserts are delicious! I love the ahi tuna entrée with coconut basmati rice... So much really good food that it's hard to choose! Try it out because, in my opinion, it is a good value for the money.
Amazing atmosphere, cozy yet elegant. The best rack of lamb and sous vide steak I've ever had. And we never miss bacon happy hour!
My husband and I were in New Orleans for a weekend of work and some play. We had the opportunity to eat here. It was delicious! Everything was great. I had the cup of gumbo and we did the tenderloin for the appetizer. For the entrée we both ordered the steak. I have never in my life had steak so good. It literally melts in your mouth. The staff are so personable. Brittany was our waitress for the night. She made us feel like family! She even gave us a huge hug when we were leaving. We will definitely be back! This place is great.
Lovely little place, nice ambiance and friendly warm staff. The food is superb!, I had a sirloin surf and turf which was as tender as a fillet, and had tons of flavour and my wife had a fillet cooked to perfection, they have a great wine list also (it’s not cheap, but it’s a great range of countries to choose from, even Bosnian!- which I’ve never seen on a menu before!) highly recommended! - try the key lime pie desert it’s delicious!
This was the ABSOLUTE BEST meal in A WEEK here!! Best Atmosphere! James knew exactly when to approach our table and when not! Just a most perfect meal and service!! The food was ALL excellent, the service so on point! If you want THE best meal of your vacation , go to this little bistro! It’s a pleasant hidden little gem! We are thrilled this meal topped off our vacation!!!. I am a very picky ex server and you need to dine here!!
We came across Orleans Grapevine Wine Bar as we were walking around the town. We sat at a table out front. They offer a large selection of wine and delicious food. Our server was great.
My wife and I love this place. For us it’s truly an experience. We always choose to sit in the courtyard. It’s so beautiful. The soft music and ambiance. Wonderful wine pairings. Appetizers, Entrees, desserts are delectable. I had ahi tuna and it was literally butter in my mouth. My wife had the pasta so rich w flavor. The desserts were ridiculously good. White chocolate bread pudding was Devine. The goat cheese cheesecake was the best I’ve ever had. We will be back again many times over.
Wonderful spot in the French quarter that does NOT take reservations! They have small plates and awesome wines and the best quart yard as a sanctuary for a quiet place for a meal.
The wine selection is very diverse and it's a quaint atmosphere that has a locals only vibe.
The mushrooms with shrimp is probably the best appetizer I've had in years! It's with the jaunt to visit and relax.
The bourbon pecan pie is a must, but only if the do not have their bread pudding! This place was a recommendation by a local bartender from the Hermes. So good we went back and thanked him for the tip.
Excellent food, wonderful staff, and deep wine list make this a great place for a date. The food is excellent, especially if you’re a fan of cheese (their cheese board, baked Brie, and goat cheese cheesecake are wonderful.

I've been a frequent visitor of this restaurant for years, and tonight's experience was truly exceptional! Although I don't consider myself to be overly fancy, I highly value excellent management, top-notch service, and of course, delicious food and drinks. Everything surpassed my expectations!

Had a wonderful dinner here a couple of nights ago. Sat at the bar and even though they were short staffed that night, everyone was working extra hard to keep service running smoothly. I had one of the nightly specials, redfish almandine, and it was fantastic. I arrived during happy hour and cosmopolitans were on the happy hour menu. It was very well made. I highly recommend Orleans Grapevine.
