The Joint, in the Bywater, is the best Barbecue we have found in New Orleans, hands down. This is a very casual and laid back place. It’s out of the way from the French Quarter and Warehouse District, but definitely worth looking up. Great food, great sides and great service.

There is no better barbecue in America, trust me.
At my house we LOVE barbecue. We believe this is the best barbecue in the U.S.A. We live in Georgia and make it a point to stop here every time we visit New Orleans, even if we are just passing through.
All of their meats are delectable, finger licking, delicious. My very favorites are the brisket and sausage, lord I love sausage, so try theirs with the mustard sauce. The brisket is so astonishingly good. It doesn’t need any sauce at all, just eat it plain and eat it all and appreciate the glorious, buttery fat and dry rub. It’s so damn good.
Don’t miss out on the great sides too, like those awesome cornbread muffins and Mac and cheese.
Bottom line, if you find yourself in New Orleans, you simply must head to the Joint for at least one meal. You will not be disappointed - they are the best anywhere!!

We stopped by this place after visiting Jamnola and renting E-bikes to ride the neighborhood. This came from a local who was walking and gave us a tip to eat here while on vacation. Wow! Great BBQ spot! We thoroughly enjoyed the brisket, burnt ends, sides, and mojitos. Come support this awesome business!
We love this place!!! One of our favorite restaurants in the city. The food is great! Best pecan pie ever. My daughter could eat a gallon of the Mac and cheese. For the price, you cannot go wrong with this place.
This is the best BBQ restaurant I’ve ever been to. The food is so, so delicious! I was a bit worried about the location but it was fine. I would feel safe going by myself.
Find the time and go eat here! You won’t be disappointed.
And absolutely get the pecan pie!

Had the pastrami sandwich and a side of burnt ends. Beats anything you could find in Texas (yeah, you heard me!) Not too many people think of New Orleans as a BBQ town - but it's a FOOD TOWN and so it stands to reason that any type of food done in this city will be great. Strongly recommend!
I was in New Orleans and my friends recommended me this place.
OMG I was very impressed and supported.
Everything what I ordered was so good , delicious barbecue foods. .
Service was nice , fast and helpful.
Definitely I do recommend this restaurant 👌 😋
Lunch, last day in NoLa and we had to switch it up a little bit and have some of the best rated BBQ in town. Although the meat was perfectly cooked and very tasty, I was little bit disappointed with the barbecue sauce, they only had one barbecue sauce type and it felt like it was very watered down and super salty, after being in Austin, TX I was expecting this place to be as good or better when it comes to flavor and sauce varieties. I do have to admit, the “Brisket Burnt Ends” were AMAZING!!!Beans were very tasty, coleslaw and cornbread not so much, I LOVE cornbread so I’m very picky with it. Place was really nice and neat, nice bar set up, customer service was great.
Had amazing pork ribs and beef brisket - fall-off-the-bone tender! Corn bread is great too, soft and moist with a lot of flavour.
It's pretty solid for a city not known for BBQ.
Pictured here sliced brisket sandwich, potato salad
The sliced brisket wasn't dry but came a little close. The flavor was rich and typical.
Pickles are sweet & tasty, probably housemade.
Red potato salad was killer.
The staff were all kind and cool and funny. They're why this review is 5 stars.
Notes: sauces are vinegar based, which I did not expect.
