The staff here is exceptional. Everyone greeted me as I made my way to my table and as I was leaving.
The Bloody Mary’s were spicy and delicious, as were the Mimosas. Drink sizes were generous.
The Southern breakfast was terrific. It included a fried green tomato (!) in addition to the traditional eggs, bacon, grits, biscuit. Nice touch. The Bananas Foster pain perdu was very good but I would’ve soaked the bread a little longer. (I do make a mean French toast myself!) I had a great experience here and I love the size of the new restaurant and parking lot!!!! I can’t wait to return!!
The atmosphere was awesome, very comfortable and clean as well as stylish. The staff were very polite, attentive and accommodating. To top it all off the food was AMAZING. I am a tough critic when it comes to my culinary experience, but Ruby Slipper Cafe was more than satisfying. I will definitely make this place a weekly visit.

We were visiting the area and my friend had heard Ruby Slipper was a good breakfast place to check out. It's very comfortable & bright with lovely decor. The staff was welcoming, helpful, and attentive; there was no wait to be seated and our orders came quickly. I highly recommend the Eggs Cochon - I had mine without the biscuit (keto) and was in hog heaven! Rich, tender, slow-cooked pork "debris" with 2 perfectly poached eggs, topped with a Hollendaise. Whatever pork debris is, they excel at it! This will be a must-stop for my next trip to NOLA.
